Just for information I’ve got a 4060lb 70 Chevelle with a 6.0 LS 78/75 single turbo 4l80 that makes 632whp on pump 93 that runs 10.65 @130. Your 55 is a couple hundred pounds lighter so should be 10.40-10.30s at that power level
I'm thinking with 790 horse in the 55. Should run 10 teens. Those were all the pulleys I had at the time. I'm going to change the lower pulley and add about two more pounds of boost. Should hopefully see around 830 horsepower. At that point I would think I might see a 9.9s. Well fingers crossed😊

@@Musclecarcustomgarage On an older Weiand 177/383 setup that we were spinning at max RPM (the blower) the meth was worth 60 HP. IIRC we settled with a "3" jet on the Snow system. That blower ran very hot, the screw style Whipple/Magnasun type don't have the same issues with heat.
If I were to have a dog I'd like him to be like Dewey. All the dogs I've had are either attention whores or mega anti social. Dewey is out here thinking he's borderline human
Yes, I noticed that too. If you watch the dyno You can see through the RPM range the oil pressure increases then decreases. Thought is that the oil could be scavenging. Or there's too much oil in the pan. Might have to pull some out to have better oil control. But something I will look into. Good eye by the way
I thought they did okay. I've had them on programs for a little bit of time now. Their shoulders are getting stronger. But I agree 35 lb is heavy to hold. But we were being safe.
I would be tempted to ditch the water/meth and convert it to straight methanol at the track. Seal that street spec blower up nicely, run cooler....Make some 9 second power!
Great idea. But after talking to Holly, they told me these new 2x4 throttle bodies can't take alcohol. E85 or methanol. That it would eat the body up. So at that point I just kept it pumped gas and rice gas. But I agree would be a good idea. Thank you
Yes, I'm going to put a little more boost to it. Maybe 2 lb which should put me in the low 800s and believe me that should get the 55 into the 9 second zone. And then I'm calling it a day
Take caution guys. Flat bench can tear a pec easy, not to mention shoulder injury. If you’re still going to do it make sure your elbows are tucked near your torso to protect your shoulder.
You finished it out correctly. Most of the reasons why people tear packs and injure shoulders. Is that they either shrug their shoulders and take their lats out. Or the chicken wing and take the majority of their Peck out and rely on more front delt.

In the beginning we ran it with no meth. These are midsize nozzles and once we turned the meth kit on and dialed it in it was a 50 horsepower increase. At that point leave that thing on LOL. Glad you liked the video. Don't forget to check out the channel to see how things turn out for the 55 and other projects
I would be beyond happy to have half the strength of John Hack
Lol so would i😊
Lmfao, that dog knows how to have a good time. Rag probably smelled like top fuel. Hahah
Lol. It did have some 113 on it😊
If I were to have a dog I'd like him to be like Dewey. All the dogs I've had are either attention whores or mega anti social. Dewey is out here thinking he's borderline human
is it 10psi oil pressure per 1000 rpm? 59psi at 7000 sounds a bit low
Yes, I noticed that too. If you watch the dyno You can see through the RPM range the oil pressure increases then decreases. Thought is that the oil could be scavenging. Or there's too much oil in the pan. Might have to pull some out to have better oil control. But something I will look into. Good eye by the way
Who built it
Sorry I don't have any video of the build of that motor. But there's more to come on the channel. Hope to see you there
Rotator cuff INJURIES SUCK. ALOT OF WEIGHT FOR NEWBIES (35LBS)
I thought they did okay. I've had them on programs for a little bit of time now. Their shoulders are getting stronger. But I agree 35 lb is heavy to hold. But we were being safe.
They definitely ain't noobies benching 275
I would be tempted to ditch the water/meth and convert it to straight methanol at the track.
Seal that street spec blower up nicely, run cooler....Make some 9 second power!
Great idea. But after talking to Holly, they told me these new 2x4 throttle bodies can't take alcohol. E85 or methanol. That it would eat the body up. So at that point I just kept it pumped gas and rice gas. But I agree would be a good idea. Thank you
@@Musclecarcustomgarage Damn! thats a bummer dude! Cool build though!
Ive heard the most a regular sbc block can handle is around 800-900hp, how true is that?
Yeah pretty much
Yes, I'm going to put a little more boost to it. Maybe 2 lb which should put me in the low 800s and believe me that should get the 55 into the 9 second zone. And then I'm calling it a day
Kyle and Steve there's no losers there it's all fun and games once the work is done
It was definitely fun. Can't always be serious. Lol
The ole man might surprise y'all 👍
He's a dedicated man.
510 lbs? I heard 671also. That sounds pretty big.
Lol thanks😊
@@Musclecarcustomgarage :)
would like to learn more of Scotts program
Well please follow my other channels. There's tips and tricks that I have on strength family. Plus I do write out programs. I am a certified strength coach.
Love the engine set up, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. Just a good old school build. If you like that and like to see where the project goes along with others. Please check out the channel
Old guys rule 👍😝
my bet is on steve
You have to dedicate yourselves. When i was 15 years old thus was 1978 was a poor kid not enough food weighing 150 i could bench 270. When i was 18. 320lbs 6 foot tall could curl 160 straight bar. No drugs, vitamins, or supplements. Just hard work. Squat 2x my body weight. Just a skinny kid
Dedication is number one on the list. Sounds like you had the right mindset 💪
He was raising and extending that can like it was paper
Yes sir
Have a great day 👍💪😊
Dang 315 is no joke! You guys dont look that strong lol!
Lol, come on now. We're just starting on programs. They're getting stronger every week.
Mr. Scott, you are naturally funny. And if you have worked on it, well done. Adam.
Tenacity…. u gotta love Steve how he continues to go further no matter what problem/s he faces etc.. Great Channel
The man has got determination
Steve clesrly won this strenth test.
Come on now you can't count out. Kyle. They're both getting stronger
