Nice video! I remember Flume explained how to recreate some of these sounds in his podcast episode with Tape Notes. If I remember correctly he used the vst synth Razor to make those sounds you talk about at 4:11.
4:11 - I think it's most probably a "happy accident" that happened somewhere in the bass chain. 6:57 - I'm almost certain that's the case now . Sounds like a sine fm'd with a saw and pushed through distortion with heavy feedback.
Dude i was trying for ages to get the snare sound like this with the same kind of technique but i was to lazy in the end for all the automations. Big ups for you for getting so close
if I was flume id love to watch this and think about whatever flume would think about watching this ahahaha. Crazy work man! We appreciate your videos alot!
This is so cool. I really love fumes stuff more along the lines of this & this sounds really close. That was probably my favorite song off the album. I'm also really enjoying beat 58 1.1, idk if that's popular enough for you to want to do a video on it but I'd certainly watch it.

Rad. I think you can get that peak whistle sound by adding a bitcrush effect and changing it's rate.
Drum and bass uses resonant peaks in basses like this. Cool vid
We appreciate it! 😊
