Love your 'thunder' comment. Thank you for the comparisons. Its rare to find a subcompact to even test on the range at gunstores. I bought it online without trying first, made me sooo nervious. Thank you for sharing and be safe.
@@BussinGuns they are both great. The 3.6 compact is still just a little too big for me to comfortably carry everyday so if I had to choose between the two I’d take the 5 inch.
Good video. I'm beginning to really like the M&P 1.0. I bought a Police Trade in a few months back from the local Shoot Straight in 40S&W and have been collecting parts to "play" with it. I got a 9mm conversion barrel and just finally found a .357Sig barrel for it, that didn't cost as much or more than I paid for the pistol. And, I've gotten a couple of Trigger job and replacement trigger sets for it to see what kind of differences there are between Ammunition/Calibers and OEM vs Modified trigger groups. Once everything opens back up a little more, and I don't have to mortgage the house to buy ammo for the 40 and 357, I'll be spending a lot of my free time out at Tennoroc.
I EDC the Subcompact and I love it - very comfortable and reliable carry. Got an aftermarket trigger though (Apex) because I wasn't a fan of the hinge trigger's gritty-feeling takeup. Apprecaite the reviews as always! Thank you
@@raulmachado182 But I don't think there are. Search for "M&P Shield Subcompact". There are lots comparing the Shield to the Compact, though. And not a one for Shield Plus/Subcompact. Now if there are comparisons buried in Shield Plus reviews, they don't show up well in search.
I have the 2.0 3.6 Compact and I love it. I was considering getting the subcompact, but don't feel the 1/2 inch grip difference is worth it. I have several 15 round mags, and several 17 round mags with spacers.
@@domenik8339 Granted, the rail adds versatility but in terms of concealed carry, frame size and round count matter more than the ability to add a light.
If I wanted a threaded barrel for the 3.6 compact, would I just get a threaded 4in barrel? I would suspect so but if you know anything else I'd appreciate some pointers.
Was leaning towards the full size but you made it harder now that you’re telling me you can interchange magazines. So a compact can be both a conceal carry with the shorter mag and have a full size feel with the bigger mag. Man idk anymore lol

The thunder joke was funny definitely a way to lighten the seriousness of the video
I’ve got the 3.6 compact and 5 inch full-size M2.0s. Huge fan of the M&P
Witch do u prefer

S&W makes great firearms. I like all of these shown.
Very helpful! Thank you!!!

Excellent comparison!!! Appreciate the hard work!!
So nice that full size. Would love to carry that.

I was curious how a M&P subcompact compares with a regular Shield? Good video!
That's what I want to see, too. I have yet to find a store that has both. The Sub Compact is less common in stores.
And I look through the channel, and he's done it on the old Shield: ruclips.net/video/sPoaYCbqlkk/видео.html
Good thing for 100 RUclips videos on it lol
@@Smokey_A gunbuyer has it daily lol probably gunbroker too

Great video
I replaced my Shield 1.0 with a Shield Plus (great gun) and S&W needs to replace all their M&P triggers with the trigger on the Shield Plus .
They listened.
Thank you!
Nice video its hard choosing between the 3.6 an 4.0
The compact is 🔥
Great information. Thanks 👍👍

Good stuff
In your Opinion do you think the 40cal S&W will be obsolete soon?
It has a strong following that will likely keep it going, however I personally prefer 9mm or 10mm over it.
@@HammerStriker Thanks my preference is the 45cal ACP 2.0 SHEILD.
Doesn't the Shield Plus render the Subcompact essentially obsolete?
It would, but the compact has a rail, and the shield doesn't.
@@domenik8339 Granted, the rail adds versatility but in terms of concealed carry, frame size and round count matter more than the ability to add a light.
We actually just filmed a comparison between the Subcompact and the Shield +, likely will release it this Friday.
Is the Performance model worth it?
Where do you find those sleeves for the magazines? I’ve been looking for sleeves for my subcompact forever lol.
They actually came packaged with the guns, I have not seen them on the open market yet.
Midwest Gunworks makes them now

Never really hear anything bad about these S&W's except the triggers, but they don't change them haha just like Glock and their sights.
The new flat faced trigger is super nice!
For some reason the subcompact 3.6 with the 15 mag and sleeve feels different than the 3.6 inch compact 15 rounder. Wonder why.
Well said, I felt the same way way I had them both in my hand .
why would someone get a plus rather than a subcompact or vice versa? just curious of the difference
The Plus is a lighter carry

Smith & Wesson are the Samsung of the pistol world, sooooo many optins and models.
and a shield plus at 4 inches . , a 3,6 in 12 , a 3,6 in 15 too many! and good luck finding any in 45ACP
👍🏻👍🏻🥃
