- In this video I tell you about the 20 pence coins dating from 1982 to 2022 this lot also includes the dateless 20p coin.
It became dateless on the change over from the rose to the shield.

JC portrait didn't start until 2015, not 2008. It was just a change in the design. First time I've seen an undated 20p properly.
Sorry I thought I said 2015 and not 2008 oh well nobody is perfect lol.

I am glad to see you mentioned the gold-toning of the 1986 NIfC. I never knew why some were a golden colour - it must be because they are copper-based, like you said. The Twenty-Pence is one of my favourite coins, I have most of them - except for the dateless one.

the 20 pence coins are Copper-Nickel thats why they go a copper colour when they tone which I don't mind because it gives them that nice copper look.

I have an old Gilt Silver 1977 Penny. Far more unusual and interesting. Just about the oddest thing I ever got out of change. Find another!
The mintage of the dateless 20p is actually thought to be around 150,000. The rarest coins to look out for, are the Alphabet 10p's, especially the 2019's! The 2019's highest mintage figure is 84,000.

I have a 2008 20pence coin with a die cast stamp fault on the queens head and crown which looks like a unicorns horn on the queens head and crown,I'm ready to sell it now for a serious coin collector who knows how to see it's beautiful and unique looks up close on the inspection with there own keen eyesight, thanks yours J.F...

some are but most are not real prices you should be able to get a dateless 20p for about £50 to £80 pounds anything higher then they just want the money.

You need to find out if It was minted for circulation a normal circulated 20p coin is not worth very much but if you wait when I get home from hospital then I can look more into it.

If you are talking about the dateless 20p coin the range from £30 upwards but you are looking to buy one look for the cheapest and make sure it is a dateless 20p coin

Really the 1983 20 pence is only worth face value you can try on ebay but I think you will not get much for it.

A 1982 20p coin is worth about £0.36 you might get a bit more for you might not.

Most of your 20p's look like Proofs, or BU, which isn't the same as collecting normal 20p's. Are you one of those people who believes the rubbish about the 'upside down' edge lettering on the £1's and £2's? I have to be honest, this is one of the most boring coin videos I've seen.
No I collect every year the coins came out weather it was Proof or BU I have collected it.
