I've always enjoyed Aggie. She's wonderful with her guests. I think my big objection here is that the show exaggerates germ danger. I don't actually care that my pipes are full of germs. I could guess that! For me, the main cleaner for surfaces is isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle with the help of a microfiber cloth. Crazy thing, I have an air filter in my house that goes nuts every time I use the alcohol. I did once own a steam cleaner, but my elderly house meant that I had to work too hard to run extension cords to the typical places. I think the biggest thing that struck me was the sponge. I didn't used to be careful about that.
I gave up using sponges years ago, even though I used to leave sponges,, cloths in bleach over night. I use them, if I'm going scrubbing out a room.. But they are thrown out after.. I use paper towels now 😂 😂
My home is definitely not clean in this sense. Reasonable, yes. But I also haven't been ill in over a decade, so I guess it's not so bad as some make it to be.
Totally get this.. I'm suffering from chronic illnesses & my mobility isn't great, so my house is not immaculately clean.. It's not bad, I have a assist dog, so I used to hoover every day, but I can only manage once a week, twice if it's an ok week
I use paper towels or a roll of vinyl paper (obviously not taking the back of the vinyl off) & put that on top of my cabinets. Saves so much time, when you are doing a deep clean. I used to use sponges, dish cloths, microfiber & even though I would soak them every night in bleach, I just had to give up.. I use paper towels mostly now. I'll use a sponge if I'm scrubbing, but thrown out after. My box of microfiber cloths are now used to clean my Doggies paws 🐾 & I boil them after 😂
For anyone who’s a germaphobe like me, I think it should be known that many steam cleaners do not get hot enough to kill enough of the bacteria for my own liking. The more expensive steam cleaners (like Ladybug) do get hot enough but they can range in the thousands price-wise 😕
Wow, thank you, I never thought of that. I've a very expensive steam cleaner, I've a burn from it, so it's hot enough, but it's huge and awkward, that I would use a hand held little one instead, just for comfort. Now I'm wondering if it's hot enough, as it wasn't expensive 🤔
So, rubber duckies in the uk have squeakers. They disappeared from us stores years ago, and bath time has been quite disappointing ever since. Ernie from sesame street is crying *still!*
y did she suggest newspaper on top of the cub bards, thats a fire hazard. might as well just wipe them down with Murphy oil soap- on a wet paper towel, & then rinse rinse it afterwards. just clean it when it gets dirty, newspaper lying around looks messy
I use dettol to, but now I've switched to alcohol, for remotes, phones & those size things, I use a interdental brush or toothpick, so satisfying to see what comes out of edges or buttons.. Then once a week I put them into a UV Light Sanitizer Box overnight, just incase.. I'm immune compromised, so for things like that,, I'm a bit more careful, I use a big box of microfiber cloths only for my Doggies paws 🐾 & then boil them to clean 😂
yeah thats y i use lysol/clorox disinfecting wipes on my electronics, handles, & toilets. its quick & easy makes it look good. also when she said soak the sponge, i would suggest throwing the sponge out.
I can’t jump on the microfibre cloth wagon, I NEED to use paper towel. I want to know how she deals with all the filthy microfibre cloths & cloth mop heads. Surely they aren’t slung into the washing machine.. it’ll just cake the machine in gunk? And I imagine inside crannies of a washing machine are infinitely more complex to clean.
i use cloths if ima throw it away afterwards… i only use cloths 2 clean my stove top (a deep clean once a week so 1 2 clean 1 2 rinse) my grill, rinse my bath tub, & clean/rinse freezer. i throw them away afterwards cuz my dermatologist said dont put cloths in the washing machine its bad 4 ur skin with the chemicals. so i dont if ima clean my microwave, fridge, & cub bards/counters- im using paper towel. also yeah i would just use a Clorox/or lysol disinfecting wipe 2 clean my electronics, handles & i use a whole container 2 clean my toilet- its quick & easy especially when im doing care giving 4 my uncle.
Totally with you on that, I use paper towels for all cleaning.. I cant do microfiber in bathrooms and separate kitchen ones, obviously 😂 I'm immune compromised, so I couldn't clean my countertop and sink with same cloth.. I've a big box of them, discreetly hidden near my back patio doors, I use the microfibers, to clean my Doggies paws 🐾 😂 😂
Lovely Aggie in gloves and apron, true queen of cleaning.
Ok, apparently this aired in 2020. Can't find if there were any more episodes.

They should have swabbed the goofy background music for E. Coli, because it's shite.
🤣
I wonder how Kim is doing ? Love the episodes how clean is your house.

Awesome upload thank you :) Are more episodes coming?

Same here. With chronic conditions it is a struggle to keep my house tidy and clean.

That long hair really doesn't suit Aggie.
