- Hey everyone! Here is another video! This one is a 2018 Thomas Transit-Liner C2! Our Transit-Liner C2 commercial bus is incredibly versatile. Thomas Built can customize it to meet your specific needs, including features like coach-style seating, overhead roof racks, video systems and tinted windows. Years ago the C2 set the industry standard, with outstanding maneuverability, state-of-the-art driver ergonomics and the most visibility among all Type C buses. It’s built to the same standards as a school bus, providing long-term durability with all-steel construction. Other commercial buses simply don’t meet those levels of quality.
Every time I visit Hershey, PA, I usually see these C2s roaming around the town!

Love these videos!!! I've been looking at a few c2s myself at a Thomas dealership in northeast Indiana that would be fun to convert. I like International but the c2s have it all!

Those Thomas Built C2s are the sexy buses; very nice.
Looked up the specs on these. Relative to the standard Rohrer spec school bus C2, these have higher horsepower engines, heavy duty transmissions (hence the push button), dual leveling rear air ride, air disc brakes and they seat 46. The seats used are called Freeman seats.

Every school district should get school buses but spec them for charter uses imo.
The TransitLiners are activity buses - but built on school bus designs. Churches, government agencies, etc., use them. As opposed to conversions, they are straight activity buses.

How much head room fo they have do that have the 78in head space
I believe it’s about 78”. They have a good bit in the C2s compared to some of the others.
I wonder why Saf-T-Liner C2s don’t have the transit liner seats, it seems to be better than regular school bus seats.

I was looking at a 2008, but I also have an option for a 2007 IC CE that is pretty nice.

What is the ceiling height
I believe that the interior ceiling height is 6’6” (78”). It is very spacious and nice to be able to stand up inside.
What does noise control do?
So noise control basically turns everything off when you switch it such as the radio, fans, etc so when you’re at a railroad crossing you have complete silence to hear if a train is coming.
What does active noise control do?
So active noise control turns all noise off in the bus, so the fans, heaters, radio, etc.

what c2 are you buying
I was looking at a 2008 C2, but I have a nice 07 IC CE that I might end up trying first.
One of the C2s I rode to school from 6th-7th grade had the same transmission and engine (it’s a 2015 bus 50) but even though it has air ride it rides horrible. Bus 81 which is the same year, has an Allison pts 2500 transmission and air ride and rides better like an HDX.
Whats the next bus are u doing
I’m thinking an HDX that we use for Charter/Hershey Shuttle.

Piensas trabajarlo de turismo o urbano? Se vería chévere subirse en Lima en un Thomas como estos, se ven de mayor calidad que los buses que se fabrican aquí.

Personally I’m not sure why but I think they should have called these the “transit liner T2”
Why can’t school buses have those led signs 🤦🏿♂️
Maybe it's because they made safety compromises by removing the black steel bands on the side exteriors, thus bringing down the structural cost, so they could instead spend the money in buying the electronic destination signs.

@@00crashtest well the least they could do is add flip dot destination signs on the first side window like the city buses have. But rather the school and the route number
@@carolinameck Yes, but it costs extra money to have it on the Saf-T-Liner C2, and school districts are short on money. Alternatively, the school district could have gotten the Transit-Liner C2, but safety is generally the top-most priority in school districts, so they won't want to compromise safety to get the Transit-Liner C2.
@@00crashtest True. Most, if not all school districts don't care for any fancy features on a school bus like LED lights and such.
it's incredibly jarring seeing a bus like this not painted a bright yellow with a bunch of lights all over it, and just a regular white transit bus.
I’m a big international/Ic/ Thomas fan! Bluebird sucks in my opinion and don’t get me started on the lion 360 piece of junk C2 knock off.
