*Epic battle…which one do you prefer? I found the results pretty shocking to be honest…*
I think the aro jet is more forgiving than the dark speed.
Cleveland launcher drivers have always been great clubs and underated
Thank you for showing the final landing positions of the actual golf balls in addition to the launch monitor data. Definitely want to see the actual results along with the monitor numbers. Side note.......I had been using the Maxfli Tour X balls (probably the best balls for the money). They definitely are on level with Pro-V's and probably a touch longer off the driver. Anyway, my game has been pretty bad lately so as a form of punishment and experiment I picked up a 15 pack of Pinnacle Rush balls. Totally love them. I would like to see a review of them by you. Maybe the spin is not good on the monitor but the height you get creates the stopping power. Plus, I picked up the Cleveland Hy-Wood you reviewed (17 degree) and I hit it as far as my driver with the Pinnacle balls. Launches high, stays in the air forever and easily keep up or outdrive my playing partners consistently. Great content on your channel, many thanks.
How are any of these more forgiving than the ping 10k? Lol literally not so this is not the new most forgiving anything
Not sure how you can compare both drivers with erratic shots like that. If all the drives went straight as an arrow with both clubs it would be a fair comparison, as the swing was so erratic I don't think you can. Fractions in the different swings lead to different results.
I have it a few drivers but the srixon zx5 mk2 was my favorite.. don’t matter where it’s hit it goes straight and was 190 bucks used on Calloway
Sample size was much to small.
Haven't been able to beat my G400 Max in years.
Morning Alex
Informative video. I treated myself to the Cleveland Launcher 5wood following your review and I love it! Now I will have to get the XL2 Driver! But what version? I would like to see your opinion on the Draw version of the XL2 before I commit. At the moment I alternate between 2 older Drivers: A MacGregor NVG2 Draw and a Taylor Made R7 Superquad and use the R7 the most but like them both.
Many thanks
Mike
I would take the Cleveland! They only thing I like better about the cobra is the sound.
That is so true!!!
Aren't Max Drivers Supposed to Spin Like Crazy? I feel like that's the whole point of them. 🤷♂️
I bought the Cleveland Launcher XL a year ago at a golf store closing down sale for Au$300, had the shaft shortened by 1.5 inches, and it is the best driver I have ever owned. Yes it is loud, but that doesn't bother me at all. At the time, I could have bought 3 for the price of the TaylorMade Stealth Carbon. Brand snobs love to pay top dollar but I'd rather play better golf and get value for money. Please stop reviewing Cleveland products so their prices stay reasonable. That's what has happened to Cobra. Too many positive reviews creates demand, which drives the price up.
The Cleveland sounded awful reminded me of the old cobra driver that sounded like a rifle shot. Also didn’t like the shape of the head it looked as you said someone had stood on it. Overall not impressed with either the clubs or performance. Shows you really need to do your homework before investing in clubs.
You should have used the Cobra X not the max. The max is about. 20 yards less and draw biased. I swapped out of a max because I was hooking it, I went to a the LS.
Been looking to get a launcher. Not paying $600 for a single club. I need a driver and 3 wood and i can get both for cost of Qi10.
I'd like to see how they compare against the new Ping, the mini BRNR driver or the new Qi10 driver. A sort of ultimate fairway finder video.
I always wanted a Cleveland Launcher. Nearly bought one 5 or 6 years ago but went for the Taylor Made M4. Big mistake by me.
I tried the launcher last weekend and the sound is truly horrendous. It’s such a big turnoff and I love my Cleveland gear.
Cobra just can’t sell clubs. Very few on tour even play the cobra. Maybe 2 players
I don’t think “we’ve all been waiting for” this battle lol
definitely like the looks of the snake 🐍
I'd like to have either one of the drivers. I like your shoes!
Cobra F9 was a great driver.
Which darkspeed LS or MAX. The LS is all about distance no control whilst the Max is more about forgiveness
What the launcher purpose forgiveness or distance, further I wager the cobra hits were out of the heal and toe is that club or you? I do not believe it was a fair like for like comparison
Whole point of video was about forgiveness. You want mostly perfect hits in comparison videos, go watch a Rick Shiels video. I love the fact that some were miss hits as I probably miss hit more drives than I do hit them perfectly.
@Power5 Well, gee, that is my whole point. He never specified which Darkspeed driver he was using the Max or the Ls
@@Dartanian1959 He says Darkspeed max in the first 5 seconds of the video. But that is not important in the least when comparing drivers. You can compare a 1 iron to a Cleveland launcher XL 2 for forgiveness and will get data points to come to a conclusion from as well. The usefulness of that data will be quite low, but not zero.
My comment was in response to your second statement.
"I wager the cobra hits were out of the heal and toe is that club or you? I do not believe it was a fair like for like comparison"
The whole point of forgiveness is that it does not matter where contact was made. Neither club got identical impacts on each swing and the Cleveland was more forgiving in this very small sample size test. Definitely would have benefited from taking 10 swings per club for sure.
Cobra just can’t sell clubs. Very few on tour even play the cobra. Maybe 2 players
I hit a used one of these Dark Speed drivers the other day at Edwin Watts. Seemed like an awesome club, but even used it was like $300.
Their irons are great. However, I’m not a fan of their woods.
shaft could play a big part in the performance :) just asking have you tried the Tour Edge Exotics offering ?
I would like to see that comparison as well.
why can't you show the monitor with out the bloody glare.
The qi10 is just so strong. Even most you tube reviewers are using the wi10. But I love the way the dark speed looks
Because they’re sponsored by TM
@@CharlotteK2008 lol
I choose the Cleveland every time,,, they just work...
