Doorseals- I tried a generic clip type doorseal like you mentioned. I had the same experience as you, it was too thick. I was able to shut my doors (slam), but it didnt sit right since its significantly thicker. I ended up getting the Dennis Carpenter glue-in doorseals, and they work great. A bit more work, but the doors sit a lot better. Keep up the good work! love to see your projects coming together! And you keep giving me more ideas of what to try on my tuck as well
Thanks! It’s going to be far from the finest I can assure you that. Just trying to build a nice driver. But I’m trying to keep it in the middle of being a hack job and being to nice to drive.
The truck is progressing nicely. I am my own worst critic and can tell you where the flaws are in what I've done. It sounds like you are the same way. I like your attention to detail with items like the seam sealer on the cab floor. that will never be seen again and the hole in the dash that you filled to center the cargo light switch. What did you do about the right front door at the top? That could turn into a loud whistle as air funnels through it into the cab as you go down the road. Did you test fit a windshield to make sure all was good?
You’re doing an awesome job! This truck is going to come out amazing when it finished.
Thanks!
Heck of a good job! Looks like you are doing an awesome job on this truck.
Thanks!
Awesome job Matt! 😁👍 Glad to see you're making progress on the crew. I think the sealer looks great in the drip rails 🔧🔩
Thanks Zane!
Looking good!
Thanks!
Looking great! Don't forget to tell us how you fixed your upper door gap issue.
That was literally just a hammer 🤣 I knocked that corner in until it matched the window frame on the cab. Forgot to mention it in the video.

Good to know I’ll probably be ordering the glue in ones.
Let's gooo!!!!!
What do you use for frame paint??
I’ve used chassis saver in the past with good results.
Hey Matt my dad and I are working on a 67 highboy right now. We are body swapping a 70 f250 camper special body onto it.
Very cool! 67 highboys are kind of a rare truck I would try to keep a 67 cab on it if you could.
The 67 is in really rough shape, it had been rolled and there is inches of bondo filling thr dents
Awesome
Thanks!
Awesome man! This is going to be one of the finest crew cabs in existence! It's nice to see some quality work!

I forgot to say it in the video but I ended up tapping the top of the door in to match the contour of the cab. Wind noise was my fear as well.
Matt what state you located in
Just a random question, if you could go back in time and order a brand new bumpside truck, what kind would you order?

Love the channel man. Love the projects you work on. Maybe a lil bit less talking and lil bit more video of work.
Thanks for the feedback!
