Pro-tip once you've reached the desired percentage put it on a necklace or a ring as Fortify Alchemy and you won't have to perform this glitch again
Noice. I am about to attempt and have a couple extra rings set aside for just such an experiment. 3 weeks later, I'm making enchanting potions good for 6400% without the loop.

You should always save before and during (different saves) doing something risky like this

I'd recommend that at the step when you're making the fortify Enchanting potion, add Blistwort to the mix, it then adds the fortify Smithing effect to the potion, so you have an OP two effect potion(s).

Reminds me of how I overleveled in Fallout 4 and ruined my experience 😂 OP is only fun on paper. But. Tyvm for the info because I MIGHT do this. It’s my first play through and I kept hearing about this glitch but nobody defined what it was…and no I know. Subbed.😂

It also works on Xbox anniversary adition I've done it sevral times on sevral saves

It dosent work for me the potions lose bonus after 2 min and the value drops to 16 at some point
I can also confirm it still works though people need to be careful when going too high with their armor ...if you put that shit in the Negative it really fucks you over in the end....died in 1 hit every time i was attacked

Hey just a warning do not keep going if you see a Negative number reload a save and try again but be dam sure you do not go into something like -4235234234 that - means your armor is way the fuck in the negative and you will die in 1 hit lol learned the hard way
The armor I made… the weapons I forged… untold power at my fingertips…
I'm on the PC and its still working, I don't even need to increase my alchemy skill to start it although that would probably go faster and need fewer ingredients. The hard part is finding the ingredients and an alchemy enchantment.
Wee tip for anyone struggling for ingredients, get to Riften and rob the barrels for the salt, and then head to the Ancestor Glade and pick all the yellow mountain flowers. Take fire cause spriggans
Thanks for the very clear guide. I never realized that my occasionally futile efforts could be due to having the Mage stone active instead of the Thief stone. Go figure.
I would like to point out to my fellow filthy casual players that there's no need to escalate to the computer meltdown level. Boosting stats by 500 points can help with troublesome bosses without removing real dangers such as your occasional enlistment in the giant's space program. And amplifying the Fortify Carry Weight enchantment you get from that roadside drunkard by 500 sure beats traveling all the way to the Steed stone in the early game for a measly 100 point boost.
If I went to high with the numbers is there a way to fix it and have the glitch work again

Ok I'm playing on PS3 where mods weren't a thing back then on Skyrim legendary edition. I did this on my kajiit and oh boy I killed a legendary dragon first try. But this is gonna help me with doing my no shout build which is my vampire hunter build when I fight other vampires with.
So, do I need JUST those Alchemy perks? Or do I also need that SPECIFIC Alchemy level (87)?

Whenever i try to dupe the potions or even keep without duping if the fortify restoration runs out my potions go back to 4% i go from 120,000 % to 8,900,000,000 points so i cant go lower then that causing my game to crash everytime i try to create enchanting potions it just wont seem to work for me without crashing or the glitch not working on certain steps
Dupe potions? You only dupe ingredients and the potions you make are supoused to be use in the moment. What you maybe should store Is the armor you use to craft the potions mate
It’s July 2024 and the alchemy loop doesn’t seem to work on ps5 after the next gen update. The op stats on items enchanted seems to not* stick and reset to the base number.
Also the stealth 100 before leaving the tutorial by the bear doesn’t seem to work anymore either.
I struggle getting all these enchantments and duplicating, I did install the cheat room and a few other mods to make it easier to get the items and use the enchantmenttable ONLY, but when I turned them off, it still wouldn't work even when I followed this :/// I'm probably doing something wrong tbh, and when I turned the mods off I did have another mod when allows me to collect like a bunch of ingredients from looting a chest, maybe thats the cause of it?

within a few equips and re-equips my alchemy gear is in the -1900000000s ?? it seems it's a negative effect now? i'm on PS5
Once the potion's strength reaches millions you have to stop the loop. Going past this will make the potion useless because of those negative numbers.
can anyone explain to me why or how this works? i understand the process as it’s just following instructions but i don’t understand how the armor is increasing each time. Also i’m playing anniversary edition and it works, i also have my alchemy at 100 with all perks and no problems there. This was the best video i came across that actually goes step by step and doesn’t start with already insane stat equipment
I don't really understand it too. The way I see it is just effects stacking up on top of each other, but other than that I'm not really sure. And it's a glitch, trying to understand how glitches like this happens is a game's developer job.
So the loop works but now when I try to go make any type of potion the game crashes. Should I try going do other stuff In game to fix or what?
Your alchemy enchanted ring could be too strong, and this could affect the potion's strength when you make a potion, and when the potion you make is too strong, the game always crash. Try enchanting it with greater or common soul gems. Hopefully it could fix the problem.
Does it have to be anniversary edition because I'm on the special edition and it caps a 16% on the armor buff while doing the loop
Considering you could do this in base game, no.
I can make my armour rating op asf but my weapon damage isn’t going up??
How are the enchantments staying at that level? Mine go back to normal after the restoration buff expires.
That's one of the problems with this glitch. It does not work the same way for everybody. To know for sure if it really works or not, try doing the whole thing again from the start, if the problem remains the same then it does not work in your game.
The enchantment always returns to normal as it is potion based. You are using this time to create the 'fortify' potions of your choice and then using the potion to create or enchant new armour or swords or whatever. If your create a few fortify alchemy potions whilst your are at it you can skip the whole resto loop next time by just drinking an overpowered alchemy potion and using the time to create, say, an overpowered smithing potion.

The video states at the beginning that it was done on PC on the anniversary edition version 1.6. Any other version may have varying results

Couldn't you just enchant another set of enchanting gear rather than rushing in the 30: seconds you have from a potion?

@SamDessage nevermind. It does work. You need the gem to be a grand soul gem or black soul gem. It'll take a bit longer but works with them.

For some reason it isn’t working for me no more but the funny thing is it did work and then my game would crash everytime I’d go to the alchemy table and now when I do it the glitch won’t work (June 2024)

The enchant on the gloves is temporary (stacked amounts of 60 seconds per potion). You are using this time to create an enchanting or crafting potion to then make permanent enchanted gear rather than the potion boosted gear you use to get there.
But even then the potion created and the items enchanted with the potions don’t stay op same with the blacksmith potions. I had a save that I brought from ps4 to the ps5 version and the items I previously enchanted to have 1000 health and weight limit are back to normal. Now it seems they patched the alchemy loop and no one seems to be talking about it.
@@monkee8769 I've created smithing gloves that Max out any created items(600%) so it clearly still works, I think you must be doing something wrong... Have actually ruined the game for myself as my sword and bow are one shotting everything.

Unfortunately this can happen if you're playing in different version of the game or on a different platform.
update: before it broke I made plenty of restore potions and I gained the boost from them and I was able to make a op armor set
Always STOP at no more than 5 potions. It will not only get into negatives past that point, it will crash the game.
Like Seth said; once you make the 25% four base pieces of fortify alchemy/smithing gear (I usually do my second permanent set as both for convenience sake) you create a second set with the fortify enchant potion you've made from your enhanced fortify restoration attempts at the loop.
5 potions as a a max with 100 in alchemy at only 3 PERKS in Alchemist, 100 Enchanting with all relevant perk points invested will get you to where you want to be.
I usually go fortify health, stamina and magica
Fortify alchemy/Smithing (for obvious reasons)
Fortify lockpicking, fortify chosen weapon (if unarmed)
Fortify sneak, fortify carry weight
If you have the place two enchants perk you can add a couple more fairly safely.
It can be fun to make a character with Health or stamina regen attached on top.

Sorry to hear that. Bethesda must have fix the bug in this version. I find this to be the case too with some older versions that I have played.
it worked for me 1 time and I got a bit greedy and did it until my game crashed after that I can't repeat it again

This doesn’t work anymore, im on a PlayStation 5 The anniversary Edition, it’s July 6th as of today, and I did everything perfectly

Copied everything and the numbers for the potion doesn’t go up, the gear doesn’t get better, the values are permanently the same.
I do have mods but none of them should affect this glitch.

Same and I'm on PS4, max I got was 183%, after that it goes back to 173% and back to 183% and so on, and it only ads 10% every time which sucks.

@@SamDessage HI. I did this trick to increase armor and weapons until a few months ago, then I had to reinstall Skyrim due to problems with play.
now it won't let me do it and I didn't understand why. I have Skyrim Anniversary Edition for PS4 and I've never had any problems except that now the percentage levels don't increase and they remain stuck at 25%.
I'll start by saying that I haven't installed the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition mod that blocks these glitches, but I have 202 other mods installed. but I don't think they are a problem because I had them months ago, in fact I had 480 mods.

@@Manu90inter In my case, on a PC, when the percentage level gets stuck, it's because I forgot to level up my alchemy perks properly, as shown in the video. Try checking that out. But since you're on a PS4, it could be because of some other problems, that I'm not aware of. Also, since you have done this before, you might have rushed this time and probably missed a step. I have also done this a few times too. So, check your steps once again, you'll definitely find what you missed.

The only way to be sure is just try doing other simple glitches first, like the duplicating glitch or the merchant glitch. Or, you can go see if the Dawnstar chest is still there. If one glitch works then maybe other glitches still works too.
It should work on Xbox on all versions. I just did the glitch last week. The only situation where it doesn’t work is if you have unofficial patch mods installed.
Attempted the loop for the first time. Failed epicly. Attempting to do a magic only game, put all my pints into conjuring an destruction. Nothing into alchemy or enchanting oops 😅 wasted 20lvls and plenty of resources for nothing 😆 😂😅
Not entirely, the chest cheese in dawnstar where the khjiat sit at has random enchanted items, grab those, move to the jarls hall in dawnstars, where there is a enchanting bench, you can also get soul gems from this box, use the soul gems collected from the box to enchant armor/weapons with the acquired enchants then sell them to the blacksmith and or other blacksmiths on a route for easy cash and speech skill. Boom. Done
Well. Far too late now 😅 made a new character that's now level 65 😅 only took a few weeks lmao 🤣

If players want to use the cheat room, they can do that. If they also want to follow this video, they can also do that. It depends on the player's preference you know.
Does anyone know if it works on Nintendo switch? My current version of Skyrim is 1.1.392.3925134 and I've been curious about the loop on Nintendo switch.
Idk why but the item I want to enchant it won’t give me the option to use a greater soul gem is it because it’s major alchemy and it’s only suppose to be minor?
You have to use a filled soul gem. Try using filled grand or black soul gem as well, if greater soul gem doesn't work.
