Thank you for that. My father, Bob McMaster played for Leeds against Joe Egan & Ken Gee and was great friends with Cec Mountford. My brother Jim & I attended his & his wife's funerals here in Australia recently. Wonderful people...my Dad & I played golf on a regular basis with Cec during the 90's. Arthur Clues, Harry Bath & Ken Kearney were all close family friends. Billy Boston...what a player. Rugby League...The Greatest Game Of All.
I agree Billy Boston is one of the very greatest players, but Dave Brown, Andrew Johns, Reg Gasnier, Johnny Raper, Alex Murphy, Arthur Beetson, Brian Bevan and Albert Rosenfeld are also all-time greats, as are all the players in the International RL Hall of Fame, picking the No. 1 seems impossible.. From the few clips I've seen of Billy Boston he appears to be of the Mal Meninga type maybe not as tall but oh man how Boston could side step and run so fast at over 15 stone is simply awesome.

I’m a Wigan lad and lone RL but Billy B is not the best player ever....he just isn’t
