Probably LOL :) I like the control of boxes - you can grab stuff from a box, but you cant from the tanks... if they made the tanks like the boxes I'd be ll for it :)
Bit late but you can inject hydrogen in fluid tanks you can also pull it out. First select fluid tank. Open inventory ctrl + select all hydrogen then. Hold your mouse over de fluid and long mous click to extract or to inject
Tried this out, kept having an issue where after a while the cracker loop would fill up exactly preventing the crackers from releasing anything, and because it was a perfect fit they would also not send any down stream. Sorters are set up like yours. even tried a few different splitters with the same issue. To fix this I would have to toggle the filter on/off to restart it. This would just happen again a while later. To fix this, I downgraded just one conveyor belt immediately after the connectors in the loop. This forced a hold up which would cause the connector to spit out a hydro making sure the loop never completely filled up while still keeping it saturated enough to never stop going.
Follow up on this, as I have a few of them built. I noticed some are working ok while another is not. The problem seems to be that for some reason one implementation of this design the crackers start to slowly fill up with hydro they can't output. For the life of me I can't see why this is the case as everything appears to be the same. Once they fill up they stop being able to pull and that floods the loop and stymy's the network until you restart it (the temp fix I had before also resolves the issue though sends more hydro down to the particle accelerators as a result).
So an update broke this , and i mention it in EP36 I think - I do have it repaired - to see it in action would be EP37 I believe? I'm making the updated one now and hope to have it posted by Sunday
@@Reoh0z Its really wierd after the update came along that week - its almost like if you built it North to South or something it would work but South to North wouldn't lol :) Still on track for a Sunday Update release
Built a few more of these, working fine. Deleted the one that's not working right, rebuilt it, still gaining internal hydro and stalling. The divergence point is the equator so spacing is identical. I have no idea why it's still doing this lol.
For sure - I'll have to build something after this one, and with Rockets and Solar Sails automated in this system doing both a Neutron Star and the Black Hole should be easy :)
Definitely not a glitch - in fact still do this today in my current playthroughs, its just a priority and count method - I'll try to review it later this week (say Friday the 8th?) as to it working
that fractionator part is not well build as the one of them have gaps on the belt from the previous one so a better way would be having both fractionator on a separate mini loop and between the loops having a splitter to fill the gaps that way you get the max conversion ratio on each fractionator this small difference may not be much if you run 2 of them but it shows once you are refining 120 hydrogen 1:1 to deuterium and have 360 fractionator running instead of 460 to compensate for the loos of time you get whit the gaps
True - one is gaping a small amount as it runs back into the loop - though for a stage 2 setup with the 4/2 cracking I found 2 Fractionators were almost the right number (I'd like to try 4 maybe, I ould try to set it up as 4 mini-mini loops - though its all really close lol) - its splitting hairs, and Stage 3 gets a bit for doing its thing :)
if you do the mini loops then the conversion ration is 3.33 sec on one it wont mater how many there are only if they are inter connected the 3.33 sec will get more on the next one ... MK 3 belt 30/s can support a little ower 60 frationators so a tank and 60 fractionatos on mini loop but its better to build that on a side planet as once you get to a high number of them depending on your rig you will get FPS drops for me its 260 or so i guess its the min loops that do that
Hey, seems it doesnt work anymore - can you confirm this? When i built it i just ejects the hydrogen generated by the plasma refining but it isnt "punching" the loop
no worries :) I actually was going to play DSP next week to prep for my holiday special vids, I'll still open a few files and check to see how its working as I know I had to mess with it on my last map :)
It can unjam itself - the only Jamming is not using all the Deuterium if you have all 3 stages, though as soon as you do use Deuterium it all unlocks - the only thing you have to watch for is actually the Graphite (Graphene? lol) as a seperate piece outside of the loops it could lock it up - though it is easier to dispose of in so many areas I've never had them lockup with that latest design (my daisy-chained Fractions would lock up if they couldnt dump Deuterium, but the Splitter-Loop solved that problem in the shown design so Hydrogen just bypasses right to Stage 3 in that case ). Of course its all still work in progress - I'm going to use the new design at the new system, so we'll definitely see how well it works long term :)
I had your same problem. Downgraded a single belt immediately after the crack connectors to force it to spit out a hydro downline to make sure the loop didn't fill up 100% and stop working.
I'll have to check on this - I did update the design several months ago as one of the updates did change it slightly - though I still used the (mostly) main design for doing this setup (in fact my 12 Colonies Hy setup uses a 4/12 setup based on this).
You were wrong on how the Fractionator worked. You say it makes Deuterium from Hydrogen and that is incorrect. There is 1% Deuterium present in the Hydrogen you produce so the Fractionators just strip the deuterium out. I have seen errors in all these setups where the excess hydrogen isn’t bled out of the loop NO NEW HYDROGEN WILL ENTER THE LOOP. It will only exit the loop when a deuterium leaves so that is only 1 for every hundred processed.
I like this set up. Wouldn’t you want to use fluid storage containers to house the hydrogen instead of storage boxes? 1200 vs 10,000 😎
Probably LOL :) I like the control of boxes - you can grab stuff from a box, but you cant from the tanks... if they made the tanks like the boxes I'd be ll for it :)
@@ManiacMax ahhh true. Well now you can delete and have hydrogen confetti all over the floor and pick that up lol

SO Useful thank you
So smart. Very cool!
I think in EP36/37 I'll be building this in the NEXT series on a large scale - so we'll see it in full action :)
I cant Help Myself but somethings odd. My Belt only runs full and the Xrays stop. Is the T3 Speed needed for that glitch ?
I don't think it's a glitch. The important part is how the priority of the splitters is set up.

Can it self restart if the main output belt jams up enough to shut everything off? That's usually my issue.. the deadlocking.
