In this video we will demonstrate how we removed and replaced the fuel pump on 2007 Chrysler Sebring. It should be the same procedure for the models from 2007-2010.
It is not very complicated procedure and it will not take you long if everything goes good. The fuel pump lid tends to get pretty stuck sometime. Make sure you do not hit on the fuel tank with a screwdriver because you will punch a hole in the tank.
This procedure should work on:

Good video. I only have a few suggestions. 1 use a brass punch to remove the fuel pump locking cap, that way no spark and KABOOM! 2 cycle the key 3 times to prime the system and will start right up. Nice video!
You saved me $300. Thank you. Mechanic told me they have to remove the tank, I told them my car had it under the seat and they said, they charge by the book. New fuel pump was $150, they told me $450 for everything. Did it myself:) mine was a 2008 Dodge Avenger same setup

@@AutoRepairGuys in getting a code p0452 with very rough idle at times and p0171 engine lean code.
You guys make it look so easy. Awesome! I think mine needs to be replaced because it is hard starting and hesitating when I am excelling. Thx I will let you know if I do it myself.

Does the pump assembly include the fuel pressure sensor too? I'm told it's the sensor that's going dead in my car and a friend of mine said that in order to replace the sensor I had to replace the entire pump assembly.

Dude. At least use a brass chisel, clean the spill gasoline with a wet towel, clean the fuel pump area before starting to work. Common guys.

I did this but it wasn't the problem the problem was wires touching on my camshaft sensor it had all the codes tripping and once I found it and fixed it everything fixed thanx anyway now I got a new fuel pump installed

Yup. The filter, regulator, and check valve are all inside the fuel pump.
Do they sell the fuel filter separately for Sebring 2.7 convertible ?

Bet that whole car smelled of gas. U guys should have been better prepared and clean as you go. Id be pissed if i paid you. But you got the job done. Nice work.

I made this job but some problems come, when I parking in an red light after less and more 15 seconds my fuel gauge up and my digital autonomy up too to when I star road again, is a Chrysler 200 2013 , I already change fuel cap and keep the problem, some help please.

@@979djyoungc similar, in that girl pump is located under backseat. Clean around the top really well before opening so nothing falls in. I found out that after wiping up the fuel that was left on top of the tank with a few clothes, that using a foaming glass cleaner on the surface really helped get rough of the fuel smell. I use Sprayway Ammonia free that I got from Home Depot, but Walmart has it too. One thing I learned a long time ago, at least with Chrysler, spend a little more and but the OEM fuel sending unit instead of aftermarket. The aftermarket crap out and it's a job you don't want to do twice
Mine is the 3.5 ltr, just noticed I had previously mistyped it as 3.4
So is the pump also accessible under the seat in the convertible models? And yeah I agree with a lot of comments, you guys were sloppy with this replacement and even dropped the seal in the tank 🤦🏼♂️. Also the music was idiotic.

EVERYONE CONSIDERING THIS REPAIR!!! Before you put a new fuel pump in this car, be sure that your TIPM isn't faulty (the reason for difficulty starting, and eventually the fuel pump relay being stuck on and the fuel pump burning itself out at park when you aren't expecting it). You're new fuel pump will only work and last if your TIPM is working, which it's probably already failed if your pump is burned out. Dang Chryslers...
