It's so refreshing to hear a Bible teacher teaching Truth. In these last days, God is leading His true children away from man made doctrines, of which most churches are full.
Thank YHWH, I was searching for a study to understand the TORAH. I was blinded for years seeing only the words on the Tablets and ignoring the rest. Praying for truth brought me to the 5 books as the full Commandments of YHWH. Now here this is. Thank YHWH

I came across CBJ about 6yrs ago. This Bible has been so eye opening! I believe hebrew roots to be a cult, however, I have been building a home library of books from scholars to help me understand the faith in which I'm now grafted into as a believer in Christ! To come to a better understanding of how these men and women lived, how what my Savior meant when he taught. The Hebrew language is amazing, and biblical Jewish tradition is also amazing!

I love listening to Torah Class AND I love the topic of "dinosaurs" , a group of ancient creatures called by a new, modern name coined by Richard Owens in the early 1840's. They are described in the Bible, both land and sea, in the book of Job, called by different names. My daughter enjoyed harrassing her very worldly science teacher with facts regarding dinosaurs, their time period, and the fact that mankind did indeed live and walk with them. She'd come home with the most hilarious stories of the class laughing at him all red faced and stuttering at pictures she'd show the class of the many evidences showing that humans and dinosaurs existed at the same time. That was 7th grade. I still laugh at the memory of her describing the look on his face when she walked into his 8th grade science class! Sorry, just a bit of funny memories. I love God's word and always encouraged my daughter to share her faith wherever she was, including public school. Now, thankfully she's grown. She homeschools her son due to the current evil propaganda being taught in today's American public education system.

Yes, Yeshua and the disciples quoted extra biblical sources (including the apocrypha), BUT they NEVER sourced, acknowledged or attributed it to scripture. There are truths in the apocrypha… but there are proven historic and other errors. It adds additional information to help fill in the gaps where we lack in oral tradition. BUT it was not divinely inspired by the Holy Sprit - therefore NOT the same as the WORD OF GOD.

However, many of those books were removed because when the rabbis started removing books and breaking 1 book into 2 books like Samuel and Kings, other books were pushed out of the cannon. For example, compare the septuigent cannon to todays modern tanak cannon. There's a few books missing. The New testament has the same kind of errors as the apocrypha and even in the tanakh so we wouldn't be able to consider any of it inspired or scripture. But when we understand that it is man that makes errors, we can rightly divide the word with precept upon precept, line upon line, and eat the meat and spit the bones.

Some people don't even realize that the Torah is the first five books of the Bible, normally referred to as the five books of Moses, it's the beginning of our Bibles!

Thank you. Yes. The Hebrew word Torah translates into English as instruction or as instructions. And it is not necessarily limited to the first five books which in Hebrew are called Chumash. When you pronounce the 'c h' use a guttural, from the throat h sound. Similar to the CH at the end of name of Bach. Johann Sebastian Bach the great composer. In German the CH we see written is pronounced the same way. Torah can also mean the comprehensive writings and teachings that come from God through the Hebrew people. That would include the books of the Prophets and other writings that exists in the Jewish lexicon that many Christians have never looked at or studied.
An interesting study is to look to see where Paul and the Apostles got their teachings. Some say Paul got some of his teachings from Pagan poetry. Some also would say there are a bunch of New Testament teachings found in apocryphal writings. Jonah Barnes says, just because it was written a long time ago, doesn't mean it was the first time it was said. This says to me that Jesus and his apostles had scriptures outside or beyond what we have today as the Old Testament. It's most important to have spiritual guidance when reading to find what is actually God's true word.

Additionally you have to have discernment and wisdom to take from the ORAL Torah to understand the WRITTEN TORAH... Example on the day of ATONMENT we are command to AFLICT OURSELVES... what on earth is being said to us... how do I afflict myself? It means a HARD fast. A Hard fast is no food, NO WATER... not all fasts are hard fasts. From sundown to sundown. So having a knowelge of things like this is important.
I just have to say as a west coaster...I visited a food truck in Washington DC and ordered a Coke. The guy asked what kind I wanted I said regular. He looked at me funny. I looked at him funny. 😂 Then he gave me a Coke. It wasn't until I mentioned the interaction to someone that they explained to me that in some places Coke refers to any soda...pop...soft drink. 😊

It is definitely only a regional thing. I know some southerners and some westerners that misguidedly call all soft drinks 'coke' but only thanks to the internet. Here is the Midwest, most call it pop, soda or even soda pop (or in the more proper manner, soft drinks).

Leviticus 10:6 High priest don't rend your clothes.. When Jesus was interrogated the high priest rent his garments and Jesus took the role of high priest offering the sacrifice on the cross. I think this man does a very good job explaining . But i think I not use the Scriptures & use “The Covenant “ ( The Way ) ! Like he said not even the writers like Paul Shaul , or Timothy or John , Mark ever saw or it was published till a century of later & till they organized & selection of the New Testaments ( may be better to say Testimonies of Yeshua ) as Revelation does too ! In all fairness I'm going to politely push back on the notion that there is no such thing as an old testament. Please read Hebrews 9:15-18. If there is a New Testament, there much logically be necessarily an Old Testament. Scripture calls it the first testament. That said, I admit I'm splitting hairs. And I agree with what you are saying.
Paul is not God or the son of God. .Jesus was many years on earth. He taught from the Old Testament.. Why would Jesus change his own word..isn't the word made flesh..is God confused, that he changes his word..not so. keeping God's commandments is not negotiable .Jesus fulfilled ..is a testament that we can try to follow his example

Paul understood what is meant by resting in Jesus. The yoke of Jesus is easy. The yoke of men is hard and there is no salvation in it.
All gr8 but at 20.50 he states only OT scripture but Peter states 2peter 3 v16 that people twisted Paul's words as they do the other scriptures. NT writings contemporary to the apostles was regarded as scripture
The greek word means writings but only used as scripture when referring to the tanakh. So when he says "the other scriptures", he is actually reffering to the other writings that were being written and dispersed in their time outside of the tanak.

Your analogy with BW vs Color tv was ok but I tell my friends that it’s more like a child “reading” a book by looking at the pictures vs reading the book. Hebrew equates to about 75% of Torah’s meaning and understanding because of the many layers of meaning contained in the Alef/Tav.

I came across CBJ about 6yrs ago. This Bible has been so eye opening! I believe hebrew roots to be a cult, however, I have been building a home library of books from scholars to help me understand the faith in which I'm now grafted into as a believer in Christ! To come to a better understanding of how these men and women lived, how what my Savior meant when he taught. The Hebrew language is amazing, and biblical Jewish tradition is also amazing!

I love listening to Torah Class AND I love the topic of "dinosaurs" , a group of ancient creatures called by a new, modern name coined by Richard Owens in the early 1840's.
They are described in the Bible, both land and sea, in the book of Job, called by different names.
My daughter enjoyed harrassing her very worldly science teacher with facts regarding dinosaurs, their time period, and the fact that mankind did indeed live and walk with them.
She'd come home with the most hilarious stories of the class laughing at him all red faced and stuttering at pictures she'd show the class of the many evidences showing that humans and dinosaurs existed at the same time.
That was 7th grade.
I still laugh at the memory of her describing the look on his face when she walked into his 8th grade science class!

I love God's word and always encouraged my daughter to share her faith wherever she was, including public school.

There were books Messiah quoted from. The Apocryphal writings are scripture as well♡
Yes, Yeshua and the disciples quoted extra biblical sources (including the apocrypha), BUT they NEVER sourced, acknowledged or attributed it to scripture. There are truths in the apocrypha… but there are proven historic and other errors. It adds additional information to help fill in the gaps where we lack in oral tradition. BUT it was not divinely inspired by the Holy Sprit - therefore NOT the same as the WORD OF GOD.

However, many of those books were removed because when the rabbis started removing books and breaking 1 book into 2 books like Samuel and Kings, other books were pushed out of the cannon. For example, compare the septuigent cannon to todays modern tanak cannon. There's a few books missing. The New testament has the same kind of errors as the apocrypha and even in the tanakh so we wouldn't be able to consider any of it inspired or scripture. But when we understand that it is man that makes errors, we can rightly divide the word with precept upon precept, line upon line, and eat the meat and spit the bones.

Thank you. Yes. The Hebrew word Torah translates into English as instruction or as instructions. And it is not necessarily limited to the first five books which in Hebrew are called Chumash. When you pronounce the 'c h' use a guttural, from the throat h sound. Similar to the CH at the end of name of Bach. Johann Sebastian Bach the great composer.
In German the CH we see written is pronounced the same way.
Torah can also mean the comprehensive writings and teachings that come from God through the Hebrew people.
That would include the books of the Prophets and other writings that exists in the Jewish lexicon that many Christians have never looked at or studied.

An interesting study is to look to see where Paul and the Apostles got their teachings. Some say Paul got some of his teachings from Pagan poetry. Some also would say there are a bunch of New Testament teachings found in apocryphal writings. Jonah Barnes says, just because it was written a long time ago, doesn't mean it was the first time it was said. This says to me that Jesus and his apostles had scriptures outside or beyond what we have today as the Old Testament. It's most important to have spiritual guidance when reading to find what is actually God's true word.

I'm 69 and grew up in Washington State & we also called it pop . Perhaps where Tom grew up it was called Coke , ?

It is definitely only a regional thing. I know some southerners and some westerners that misguidedly call all soft drinks 'coke' but only thanks to the internet. Here is the Midwest, most call it pop, soda or even soda pop (or in the more proper manner, soft drinks).
When i moved to Mississippi, just about everyone called all soft drinks a coke, but a few said, "Let's go get an RC cola and a moon pie." which meant lets go get a drink and a snack

In all fairness I'm going to politely push back on the notion that there is no such thing as an old testament. Please read Hebrews 9:15-18. If there is a New Testament, there much logically be necessarily an Old Testament. Scripture calls it the first testament. That said, I admit I'm splitting hairs. And I agree with what you are saying.
Paul says that we are not under the law but under the Grace of God. The gentiles were never under the Torah laws.
Paul is not God or the son of God. .Jesus was many years on earth. He taught from the Old Testament.. Why would Jesus change his own word..isn't the word made flesh..is God confused, that he changes his word..not so. keeping God's commandments is not negotiable .Jesus fulfilled ..is a testament that we can try to follow his example

The greek word means writings but only used as scripture when referring to the tanakh. So when he says "the other scriptures", he is actually reffering to the other writings that were being written and dispersed in their time outside of the tanak.

Your analogy with BW vs Color tv was ok but I tell my friends that it’s more like a child “reading” a book by looking at the pictures vs reading the book. Hebrew equates to about 75% of Torah’s meaning and understanding because of the many layers of meaning contained in the Alef/Tav.

75 And the angels will be stationed all around them, and they will be praised by their Lord. And it will be decreed between them in truth, and it will be said, “Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”
Quran 40:7 (Sahih International):
7 Those who bear the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed: "Our Lord, and admit them into gardens of Eternity, which You have promised them, along with their forefathers, spouses, and descendants. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
Quran 69:17 (Sahih International):
17 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will carry above them that Day the Throne of your Lord.
24:2 The woman or man found guilty of sexual intercourse - lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah , if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment.
In whole Quran there is no description about rape case, in which the punishment is sentence to death, one more example is at 23:5-6 "And they who guard their private parts Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed "
But if they will not concern with torah cannot solve it, same which of the animals are clean and which are not clean , Jesus crucifixion and so many examples.
9.Jesus and universal covenant
It is not for a human [prophet][1] that Allāh should give him the Scripture[2] and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allāh," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."Aal-e-Imran 3:79
Nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as lords. Would he order you to disbelief after you had been Muslims?Aal-e-Imran 3:80
So is it other than the religion of Allāh they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned?Aal-e-Imran 3:83
Say, "We have believed in Allāh and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants [al-Asbāṭ], and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him."Aal-e-Imran 3:84
And whoever desires other than Islām as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.Aal-e-Imran 3:85
How shall Allāh guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the Messenger is true and clear signs had come to them? And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.Aal-e-Imran 3:86
Those - their recompense will be that upon them is the curse of Allāh and the angels and the people, all together,Aal-e-Imran 3:87
Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved,Aal-e-Imran 3:88
Except for those who repent after that[1] and correct themselves. For indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.Aal-e-Imran 3:89
Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - never would the [whole] capacity of the earth in gold be accepted from one of them if he would [seek to] ransom himself with it. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.Aal-e-Imran 3:91
And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allāh and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allāh. They do not exchange the verses of Allāh for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allāh is swift in account.Aal-e-Imran 3:199
So if they argue with you, say, "I have submitted myself to Allāh [in Islām], and [so have] those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture and [to] the unlearned,[1] "Have you submitted yourselves?" And if they submit [in Islām], they are rightly guided; but if they turn away - then upon you is only the [duty of] notification. And Allāh is Seeing of [His] servants.Aal-e-Imran 3:20
And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded.[1] So We caused among them[2] animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allāh is going to inform them about what they used to do.Al-Ma'idah 5:14
O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much.[1] There has come to you from Allāh a light and a clear Book [i.e., the Qur’ān]Al-Ma'idah 5:15
By which Allāh guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace[1] and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path. Al-Ma'idah 5:16
10. Universal Covenant
Allāh has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves[1] after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient.An-Nur 24:55

The New testament started when the Lord died on the cross ( the Testator), we need to rightly divide the word of truth.
Without Torah Christianity makes no sense.

@imanewtype If you are saved, you are grafted into Israel. There were all nations that came out of Egypt, but all were Israelites when they crossed the Jordan with Joshua.
