I guess his addiction is the reason that One-X is so freaking good and successful. Most of the songs are heartfelt, and that's what makes them great.
Probably not but him being famous is probably the only reason anyone cares probably other guys from our area would have just struggled and people would have just spit on them and called them a junkie regardless of how talented they were.
I love how in all the interviews I've seen of Adam he is always saying, "you know"!
Adam is such an awkward person 😂. I think he gets nervous during these interviews, plus he gets really emotional when he talks about his addiction. I’ve seen interviews where he’s totally fine and then he gets asked about his addiction and then he stutters and his voice gets rough like he’s about to cry. That period must have been so hard for him 😭.
Sometimes he says you know! as in yeah you get it. Other times he says you know like asking if they understand. It's where the emphasis is like eh.

We are not the sort who always like to discuss our personal matters publicly and Adam sharing too much information with the press could get twisted.

He dominates lots of interviews but that's Adams story he can't step on it. Besides Neil probably did not want or have to stop partying like Adam did. It's like when I was pregnant and didn't drink and some people treat you are diseased or something for not indulging like them it makes them uncomfortable.
Or maybe he was genuinely listening to Adam and like his nature, trying to help in some kind of way amd understand how it works.
Felt REALLY BAD for Adam. Remain clean.

Well I could not relate to lots of their songs I did not have addiction issues and they sounded really angry lots of the time too but I always liked and respected them. I think they are at least honest and that is why their music resonates with people.

Anybody notice that he says "you know" ALL THE TIME? Lol. This should be a drinking game! Every time he says "you know", have a shot of Tequila! No seriously. 3DG is one my favorite bands, and I admire Adam for overcoming his addiction. I wish him and the rest of the band the best of luck for the future.

One-X sounds like a drug reference to x but it's about him being the
one-x out of all the checks
Judging by the album cover and name, pretty sure One-X refers to the person left out and different from the others, that is different from the rest of the crowd. It's even said in the "One-X" song, "we stand above the crowd, we are one". It doesn't refer to a check list.
Man one-x was such a clutch album
God, I can't watch this without crying. I really want to see Behind The Pain. It hurts so bad though to see Adam talking about it, and you can tell it hurts him to talk about it. And that's why I love these guys. Because, no matter how much it may hurt to write something, they still will. And so many people have changed becuase of that. Neil looked kinda bored too, huh? lol (oh and announcer lady, Adam's hometown is not Toronto ;))

He says you know all the time as a defense to being misunderstood and judged constantly. It's a way of asking for people to be empathetic.
The thing is lots of them don't know and are judgemental. Where they are from most teens are experimenting with drugs and alcohol by about 16 not everyone develops an addiction or problem but there are no malls or movie theatres etc. So teens get bored and hang out if you want live entertainment you have to make it yourself. It's generally a safe place though we take care of eachother if I ever got stranded I could knock on someones door and they would let me sleep on the couch I would do the same for them. Adam just got in over his head with those pills and I am proud of him for saving his own life. Partying is just a normal part of our youth we do it a little different is all no bars just bonfires tunes cranked and the substances just amplify the experience. Were they not rockstars they would have done all that anyway. 19 is legal drinking age there is no prohibition in Canada now so it's not illegal to party and cottage country is where loads of people do it. Glad I was never into pills or hard drugs but it could easily happen to anyone get them prescribed once and some people get hooked for life.

Holy God I didn't know he was popping that many pills like Candy. Lucky he didn't end up like Pat. I moved out of Peterborough in '99 lots of people were getting heavy into drugs when I left.
It really makes me think about how many Canadians have problems like Adam but are not offered the help he was. Drugs seem to be a major health concern in this country.
I remember Pat. Brandon was the older nicer looking brother but Pat and I were the same age and rode the bus together when I lived at the lake and he sat behind me in 10th grade math. I remember when he died and the asshole I lived with said oh well Junkies die and it was right at Christmas and I was mocked for being sad about my friend and his family though the piece of shit narcissist who smokes dope and swills booze himself maybe he will die and we can not mourn him for retribution. Not as if Pat did not come from a decent family and was not a great ball player himself or anything maybe got a sports injury and hooked on pills due to doctors anyway he should have lived longer I was upset about it. Honest to God that runty Olney has some nerve bad mouthing the Lauries like that. I am still pissed off about that. Pat was being groomed for the minor leagues while Olney douchebags just sit around around and gossip about how "jelly" they are of them and assume everyone is jealous of them too. Lets see them survive even one winter in Ontario pampered pup princesses. I would love to tell Brandon how his brother was dissed after his untimely death and give him a hockey stick too those sissys would run away to suckle their mommys withered teet before facing a grieving Norwood boy.
