Got several wild catnip plants around my property. Brought a few leaves in for our indoor cats and felt a little bad for basically being a drug dealer to my cats. Feel loads better knowing it has a purpose other than getting them high!
Murray is making me laugh like come on give me the goods already lol. 😂 My cats loves catnip especially my boy cat and he knows what the container sounds like when I get it out.
I wrapped a sm box of catnip for my cat & set it under the tree. Later we watched as he tore in & unwrapped the whole thing. We laughed thru the whole thing.
I have a few questions. Would it repel ticks too? And how often should you give it to your cat? Once a day? Or a few days a week? Thank you so much! I love your videos 🥰
My 3 year old Doberman was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure three weeks ago. He eats well and drinks lots of water. I have put him on a fish / chicken soup diet with leafy greens ginger, turmeric, carrot. I also give him Vetmedin, omega 3, Frusimide, potassium chloride, Augmentin. Please advise as his condition has not improved. HELP ME
I have a huge catnip bush in my yard. It was my cat's favorite spot to lay in the sun and scratch his log. He has passed on--now 3 little strays have discovered it.
True. Sensitivity to catnip varies from cat to cat. I wonder if silvervine twigs would work on them since it’s believed to be twice as potent. Have your heard of that one? not suggesting it since I'm still doing some research. I just wonder if any of my subscribers have tried it.
My older cat also is largely indifferent to catnip. We got her a CN toy for Christmas when she was 1 or 2 and she barely touched it. Brought some fresh leaves in for our other cat 14+ years later and she finally started rolling in it, lol.
I've found that rosemary works better than catnip just a tiny bit in food or rub torn bits thru fur. I'm wondering if some catnip species are stronger than others, it's lemon balm related isn't it?
I've got a question I've given cat nip to my 1 yr. old cat a few times before but the other night after her play time with it about 2 hrs later she pucked a couple times the next day she got sick again I never gave her anymore in fact I washed her toys and made sure none on the floor today she seems fine So my question is did I give her to much ? She's an inside cat so I'm sure it must had been from the cat nip I'd love your option Thank you so much ?
I rescue & everybody has fleas . I used dinovite before because it's natural but they quit making it. Is peppermint essential oil 1% solution w/water ok to use on both cats & dogs? Would I need to add a carrier oil as well? There seems to be a 50/50 online? Thanks! Love your videos!
In my experience cats that have enjoyed some of the nip become aggressive also and play with their claws extended, so I have to be careful. I call it playing for keeps. Watch out! 😻
All people (and animals) react differently to different stimulants/drugs. I mean, looking at alcohol, you've got the sad drunks, the angry drunks, and the happy drunks. Makes sense that some cat's will get loopy on cat nip while others will become aggressive.
Dr Jones Veterinary Secrets What concerns me is quality. How do I know that there aren't fillers in the catnip? Like hay or parsley or some other non-catnip ingredient? Or a catnip product does not have that ingredient because it has been over dried or something? Maybe you have some brands or a way to tell if a product is of good quality? That may be why some of these kitties aren't interested in "catnip" because it is poor quality or "fake" Thank you!
I love this! Any thoughts on catnip essential oils? I kind of had a joke where I would make a lotion with catnip in it for if your cat hated you but I don't know how well that would work LOL the lotion would obviously be for people not cats
Hello I have a 11monts old male cat. vet gave me a iron syrup for him that syrup 5ml contains Ferric ammonium citrate-80mg Folic acid-0.166mg Vitamin B12- 1mcg is this syrup safe for cats?
Dr. Jones, I'd like to buy your complete supplement for dogs. I have a couple of questions about the supplement itself. Where is it manufactured? What kind of quality control or efficacy testing is done? I once had a small startup selling merchandise online, and I know from experience vendors can be based overseas, have no track record, and are less than scrupulous. This is my only concern when buying supplements that aren't a big brand name. It's hard knowing who to trust.
Hi MF. It is manufactured at our plant in Salt Lake City Utah. GMP 3rd part testing- CSB Nutrition Corporation has its own in house full service laboratory enabling us to serve you better. We have a highly trained staff that makes sure our raw materials, in process, and finished products are up to our high standards.Chemistry: Our chemistry lab performs identity and potency testing on our raw materials and finished goods to make sure you are getting the highest quality products you expect. I'm wondering if I could Brew some catnip and just Spritz my cat? Or should I mix some catnip tea with coconut oil to Spritz? Thanks
@@phantomba7634 I did try to grind the cat nip a little better and sprinkle it on the floor for them to roll in. I combed them but I didn't try the spirits yet , I kind of forgot about it because the fleas weren't really bad this year. But next year I would like to try it. I think if the Spritz is a fine Mist like one of those small blue bottles would do, they might not mind it is much. But if it's one of those big white bottles they might run for the Hills. I just heard that a good diet can help prevent fleas. And some people think nutritional yeast and some garlic may help. Use very little garlic if you do. I'll try to update next summer after trying it.
My dog is acting like she's scared ir confused. When we get near her she looks at us like she doesn't recognize us. She runs around back n forth and almost looks like she's high or something. This is the 2nd time it happens. Could it be some type of seizure?
Maybe she had a stroke. That can leave them very confused. She may turned ( partly) blind from a stroke or a tumor. Her pupils will be wide open if that's the case . She could also have dementia.
