Shawn never played this right, the pre-bridge section fill is supposed to be double kick and not tom roll, thankfully Dirk is playing it as it should since.
Shawn always simplified everything in live performance. He'd replace most triplets or double bass parts with boring tom tom hit. He did the same to Holy wars , Set the world afire, Trust etc
Megadeth has so many fucking cool riffs. Marty is such a monster at guitar. Yeah but you gotta give credit to Dave too. I really wonder how this dude play those fucking riffs and sing at the same time.
I wonder why Shawn couldn't or wouldn't do the correcr drum fill @1:11. I mean it should be easy for him right? every clip that I saw and every show that I went he does that lazy ass drum fill. I wonder why Dave hired this guy or he should fire his ass earlier
It's possible Dave asked him to play it that way. Maybe Dave didn't like that particular fill after a while and asked Shawn to play a more basic version. It's like when Judas Priest fired Les Binks, who is an amazing drummer, only to hire Dave Holland who was pretty much a human metronome. That's what the Priest wanted at the time, a more basic drummer.
I don't know why Dave would be OK with much simpler fills. I've been watching clips of she-wolf for years and Shawn Drover never failed to do that lazy fill, hell even when I watched them played twice he did that shit.. maybe this is nitpicking but whatever
because he's a left-handed but he setup the toms as a right-handed... so it's hard to turn sideways on the fills. I don't know why he doesn't setup his drumkit like a left-handed, fuck up man '-' The only thing he do is change the positions of the hihat and ride cymbal................ And the drum tone sounds very false (or eletronic) with those triggers

Yah I didn't like drover so much. Sometimes he stutters with the drums, especially in songs such as rust in peace... Polairs. That used to suck live when they used to take it. Glad we have the new lineup. Broderick was a fine player, he just wasn't being creative enough, dave didn't allow him to blossom through atleast that's what he claims. I really loved Glen drovers playing, man that guy was tight. Watch the That One Night concert film of Megadeth.
De Grasso was the worst Megadeth drummer by far... I still remember how he was fucking up the awesome double kick ending of Sweating Bullets Don't compare Menza and Friendman with the others. They composed their parts unlike the other members who "cover" their parts
