To me and listening through my headphones:
    - 1750s sound like an extreme case of V shaped signature, rumbling bass and elevated highs with the mids more recessed.
    - 2750s sound more flat and closer to the original track.
As always taste is subjective so I can see why people could go for either choice.
I have the Edifier R1800 TIII (for a work from home setup) and I do like it a lot. Although not tested specifically by yourself seemed like a very close fit to the 1700 and 1850DBs. Well I hope so anyway :)
Great comparison as always and continue the great work.

i was thinking about that if you could add sub for some speakers and test even with different subs but i thought that you have enough work / comparisons already, but if you are going to test speakers that has sub out then test other subs too pls, for example Klipsch The Fives with some Klipsch sub etc., but testing subs is a bit tricky cuz you have different subs in different parts of the world and not all are shipped worldwide
but if you get into this kind of testing / comparisons, that will be good, but it had to be done right and you could do one separate video about sound in different rooms, sub placement etc. so people learn its not just "i buy this, it sounds awesome" and then be disappointed or surprised... i was trying to point that out in your first comparison of Edifier S360DB where bass was overwhelming (i dont know if you tested if default with 0 treble, 0 bass, but it sounded like it was on default, i have S360DB and i had to turn that bass down with bass knob cuz theres too much bass + i have that sub in the corner of the room so its amplified even more), if you have sub or add sub, you have to tune it for your room and placement is also very important
so if you are going to test different subs with different speakers in the future im happy about that and thanks for the good work and additional work with subs

Hi guys, I need help. I have visited several sound stores and asked about the Edififer R2850.
I have been told that Edifier in general does not provide good sound and this has come to my attention because of the very good comments I have heard on this channel. In my country, Argentina, there is not a single store that has Edifier equipment, except for the official store which, unfortunately, does not have a showroom and they only sell their products online. In other words, I would have to buy it without having heard it. Could you help me decide? Do you think I should "risk" buying it?
I have been told that Edifier is not hifi and provides sound far below any hifi stereo system. Is that true? Does this Edififer model worth it?
Are there maybe some better options for the same price?
Thank you and please excuse me for my bad English.

The 2750 is better balanced and brings more detail. There is a second guitar in "Man on Fire" which is almost not present with the 1700. Note, the T5 is nice for it's price but it's not a good sub and in this video a bit overbearing.

Forget about Logitech and Creative (by doing that you would save your money). It's plastic/mostly plastic (with shitty MDF) bullshit, mostly with one-way drivers. So overall sound is meh.
Does Presonus Eris E3.5 really cost not more than 100$ somewhere now? If so, you can buy them.
Cause buying Edifier R1280T is not the great idea in 2021, they kinda old and there is R1280DB/R1280DBs which have better sound and more inputs (including Bluetooth). Also there is R1700BT/R1700BTs (I dont mention R1080BT/R1042BT cause they dont have knobs for Treble/Bass adjustments).

@@welles298 THX just means that the Speakers are powerful enough for movies for example the Z625 subwoofer can go 35hz low, plus its 200W RMS Total.
I Don't care about the Loudness and i heard sound test for z625 on youtube and they seem to have weak highs compared to speakers with Tweeters.
Plus The Z625 costs 170-190 Bucks so its double the price, the other solution is z623 that cost around 150 but they lack Optical Out compared to z625 other than that they are the same.

The R2750DB would go very well with a good budget sub like the Elac 1010, definitely way better than a T5. Or get the new R2850DB, pair it up with the Elac and cross it over at 60 - 70hz.

    • @johnnywong2583

I am new to this and I am deciding what to get my desktop speakers for games, movies and music (pop and AMV). I read your comments explaining why getting a pair of speakers with sub out that I can afford and add a sub down the line is superior therefore S360DB, S2000 and iLoud Micro Monitor are out of question. R1855DB (+sub), Audioengine A2+ (+sub) and R2750DB are still within my budgets. I would like to hear your opinion about my choice.
Correct me if I am wrong, the R2750DB seems great but may not be ideal for my purpose because of the size (desk width can be either 120 or 140cm and I will be sitting like, half a meter from the speakers). Meanwhile, several reviews commented that warranty for Audioengine is basically nonexistent outside USA so I may just avoid the brand. This leave me only one option but I will be grateful if you can suggest other speakers that fit the criteria.
Regarding the sub, the Elac 1010 does not appear to have RCA out. I am wondering how exactly do you connect this to the R1855DB (or the speakers that I will buy) while keeping the ability to adjust the crossover. I am asking this because other comment suggested the proper connection is from the source to the subwoofer then to the speakers (in my case, it would be PC >usb> SoundBlasterX G6 >3.5mm line out>subwoofer>RCA line out>speakers). I am not sure how the Elac 1010 can achieve this. And if I am connecting like this do I still need to stick to speakers with a sub out?
I would like to get the Elac 1010 or a sub around that price range instead of the T5 because I have read comments that the T5 does not wake up from sleep if the volume is not high enough.
Sorry for all these questions and thank you in advance for the answers.

@@johnnywong2583 hi johnny, which part of the world are you at? Sound quality wise, the r2750db or even better, the R2850db is the best choice out of the lot. The A2s are ok, but limited volume wise as they start limiting and cutting out at a lowish level. Size wise, the 1855 is great for desktops but I wouldnt mind the r2850 for my desk as I priorotize sq over anything else.
As for the elac sub1010 (sub1020 if you are in thailand), it has rca comnections, so 3.5mm from the 1855 to the left/right rca on the sub1010. Its plug and play, just use the 3.5mm - rca wire supplied with the 1855. The sub1010 won the best budget 10 inch sub shootout in Erin's test, so its pretty much the best sub for its price right now. If budget and space allows, I would definitely go for the R2850DB and Sub1010. Be prepared to be wowwed, such a setup can easily fill a 40 - 50 meter squared room and performs exceptionally well nearfield too.

@@-MarkWinston- Thank you for your reply after all this time and I live in the UK. After reading your comment I still have 2 questions.
      1) I understand that the R2750DB and R2850DB sound better than the R1855DB as demonstrated in this channel. The desk I plan to place the speakers on is either 120 or 140 x 75cm. So I will be sitting like 50cm from the speakers and the center of the pair will be something like 85cm max, give or take. I wish I can fit a bigger desk but I can't (my room is 2.7 x 3.7m but the door and wardrobe has to be taken account of). I am wondering if it will be too close. I mean my concerns are it will hurt my ears even at minimum volume (I am unable to find any reviews regarding the speakers' minimum volume), especially seeing how big and loud the R2750/2850DB are in some Russian RUclips channels.
      2) If I connect RCA from the sub out of the R1855DB (or 27/2850) to the sub, will I be able to adjust the crossover value? Or do I have to do it like, source > sub (RCA out)> speakers in order to do that? There is also a comment saying if the T5 is connected from the R1855DB, the volume of the T5 will be too low (he solved this by connecting the other way round). Not sure if this is going to happen to the Elac 1010 or other subs.
Thank you again and I am looking forward to your reply before making the purchase.
