This race was really challenging for me. I had the speed to win but early mistakes cost me valuable time. In this video, I try my best to overcome the challenge I set for myself, early in the race. Learn the strategies I used during this race in this video!
Rather than think about "what you should have done", I'm more impressed with how you handled the situation. Mistakes will be made because you're making decisions within a thousandth of a second. How you recover from those mistakes is what makes you different. I love that you didn't give up because you were passed by a handful of people. Also, your ability to stay calm and "THINK" through the problems ahead of you and work with other drivers, is so impressive and I can't count how many times I've pointed out to my boys of your amazing abilities. Racing wouldn't be as fun without trying different things and learning from them but your approach after those mistakes is what really makes you a great racer. Nice work Ryan!
@ashlynspeed32 awesome to see you’re collaborating with OMP. Thanks for all of your great tips.
Thank you! I’m really happy with it!
@ethanossowski Thanks, Ryan, for being one of the few people that post videos like these. I started racing Sr Rotax last year and your videos really helped me as a rookie.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!

Hello I love your videos I race mini swift and I am looking to get better I am going to be at super nats and I am going to do the rest of the uspks races. I am able to fight in the mid pack and I just need to improve some to get to be able to fight up in the front. Can’t wait to see you race at the next uspks race
See you there!
are you going to do a video of road america for uspks and what class are you running
After the race I will and X30 Pro Senior
In your next video, will you discuss the sock covers on your steering spindles?
Not in a video
@staylowbro loving your videos! It's been helping immensely with my karting
Thanks for watching!
@lcordony! 👊🏽 Love the channel, dude. Thanks for mentoring all us amateurs
Thanks for watching!
@theeryancameron great video again pal. Hoping to get back into racing again this year, haven’t raced in 11 years. Kz2 now though 🤝
Thanks for watching! Cool that your getting back in the seat!
What tyres do you guys use over in the states? Here in Austrralia we use Dunlop DFMs.
We use MG yellows
This might be a dumb question, and i race four strokes so im not a total noob, but why cant karts have side mirrors? If somebody did would they be disqualified? How can you effectively race defensively without mirrors? Do you look back after every corner exit??
There is really no need for them. You can just look back whenever you want
2nd isn't that bad my dude you atleast got good points in the bag
Thanks Jarred!
Nice video, What kind of sensor is near your left front tyre?
It’s a speed sensor
@tombirdinsta , why the bag over the track rod joint ?
Just to mess with the competition
@NunoMPS46

This year is my first year racing (ROK GP) and your videos are really helpful. Thank you very much for this channel. These commented race videos are something you don’t see on youtube and I find this very helpful; to hear the strategies and thoughts throughout the race from someone as successful as you are, it’s kinda like having a personal trainer. Keep up the good work, good luck in your future races! And thanks again!

How do you afford racing? Do you have a full time job?
Racing is my full time job
@maplechill Thanks for the giveaway!
@garciamatheus17
Congrats on the race!
In my opinion you shouldn’t have defended and stuck to your line, knowing that the leaders tyres would fall off at the end.
Also one thing that I have noticed that you guys bump draft as much as the British champs do, obviously correct me if I’m wrong I’m a fairly new viewer
We really only bump draft when we are chasing down the leader. It’s only because the tracks we race at have long straights
@gio.inam loving your content, greetings from Italy 💪🏼🇮🇹

novoal4646@....Great informative tutorials Ryan ...great for the kArting community worldwide ...thx for bringing your in thoughts whilst racing and yes I also use OMP racing here in Thailand and good to see OMP coming onboard ...thoughts about round 4 and lower tyre pressures and I understand why you use lower pressures opted for in the final but you have compromised yourself because of it ...if you push harder to get the the tyre temp up you lose rubber more and not have much left for the last laps but if you drive within the kart and not push the tyre you are not faster than the rest ...cache 22 situation ...but for me with the lower tyre pressures I think I would have pushed to the front trying to get more heat into the tyres and make the gap and let them destroy there higher pressure tyres trying to get to you ...just thoughts Ryan ....what would all do next time and like to know your analysis also of that lower tyre pressures..?
I am enjoying my kArting once again after a 12 year hiatus but now living and racing in Thailand now but I am a 63 Australian and the oldest racing in Thailand atm ...doesn’t matter about the age although a little slower as the body not so nimble but Ryan its so enjoyable racing again and especially in a different country..
Keep up the good work mate lovin the vids ..
@novoal4646
@novoal46
Can use either
Thank you for watching. And yes tire pressure is always a catch 22 if you don’t hit it correctly. I probably would have started a little higher on pressure the next time. Glad your getting back in the seat after 12 years!
