392 is definitely super aggressive. But, I don't think the corner at 5:00 was yours to take. Amazing race though! Super fun to watch. That pass at 3:40 was awesome. Just kept it to the floor up the inside!
@@ayrtontv6025 every single person I saw was running magnesium - 100%. Seemed like most were on MXC’s. I did see some AMV 3F’s and a few of what looked to be Swift MXC wheels. Once in a while I’d notice something else out there but always magnesium… always.
@@bagballz you want the tires in the optimal temp window regardless of the ambient temp or track temp. So when its hot you don't want the tires to get too hot so you run something that dissipates heat like magnesium. When its cold you want to make sure the tire gets hot enough so you run something that retains heat like cast aluminum.
Ryan, I saw some drivers “flicking” the wheel on entry and counter steering to some degree (with a little sawing) through faster turns, especially scoreboard turn, green turn, and the horseshoe hairpin / cell tower turn. Probably I70 also but I couldn’t see there as well. Is this because their kart isn’t free enough and this helps it rotate? Does this hurt the performance overall? It seems the counter steer could allow the inside rear to set down too early as they unwind the turn. Would love to know your thoughts on why drivers do this and what this does to the kart / overall performance. Thx so much.
I know you mount your go pro to the radiator, but are there any stands you would recommend using for karts that dont have radiators? looking for a mount in the rear left. thanks!
Hey Ryan! QQ What do you feel for in the kart if it's too lean or rich and you have to make an adjustment to the carb? Do you watch engine temps or what? And am I right to say you can adjust these carbs during a run?
Yes you are right. If there is a delay on the throttle I normally say its too rich if you get on the gas and then more throttle you give it, it doesn't really go, its too lean
@@laurentlegault7780 engine does alot. I've had people pull 2 kart lengths just from the straight. that's time that in the corners I have to work back that 2 kart lengths rather then pulling away from them by 2 kart lengths.
@@ayrtontv6025 yeah could be. But over here in Australia there’s this vortex mini rok motor for the under 12s and one of these mini rok motors has won 4 Australian titles. This motor is way quicker then most and everyone has the mini rok motor. So it’s just something in the back of my mind that motor is quite a lot bc it means u can put more teeth on n still be quicker down the straight.

Yeah I wasn't all the way there but I wanted to see if it could work. Thank you!
I watched this go down. Awesome race to everyone. Congrats on the championship
I keep watching the replay of it! Thank you!
Great outside move on the start. Congrats on the SKUSA pro tour title! 🎉
Thanks so much!
WOW!!!! Amazing driving Ryan, nice and smooth
Thanks!
Great job champ. Some awesome racing !! Gets sketchy when u get into the grass !! Nice save !!
It was a bit thank you!
Awesome race! Looks like a cold day everyone seemed to be using aluminum rims.
Was not cold out there, it was spicy.
@@TwistySoap Really? Then why did it look like everyone was using aluminum rims? I would think you need cold weather to not be using magnesium.

Can someone explain to a noob why temp impacts rim choice?

Bravo 👍
Congrats on the SKUSA title also good job avoiding the chaos
Thanks man!
Now that’s what I call diggin like Dale
Hahaha I like that!

Burns the tyres a lot quicker
I would say it definitely hurts performance. I think the karts are probably too free and that why they experience it!

Yes Odenthal Racing Parts makes great camera mounts

CRG kart 392 was blocking way to aggressively, do you agree Ryan?
He wasn't that fast. I don't blame him. When someone is a lot faster, you need the choas to slow them down
What camera do you use? Mine never come in as clear as this.
he uses a gopro hero 10👍

GoPro hero 10
X30 engines are totally even especially RPGs it’s not like a driver can get carried by an engine
engines aren’t everything in motorsports, there is also something called a driver in case you didn’t know
