It’s gonna be a tough one. I’ve been digging on Sinbad since he came on tour. Club Med is one of my fav players too. I want both players to win. But only one can. I guess all I can do is cheer for a good match.
- It’s not over until it’s over! - Great comeback win for Medvedev and a crushing blow for Zverev. - Sinner needs to finish Medvedev in 3 sets or it’ll be a long day in the final.
Regardless, it's the matchup we've been waiting for. Haven't seen them play a 5 set in a stage like this, only remember the 3 sets one like Rotterdam final from last year. Meddy is as gritty as it gets but let's see if Sinz can do it.
@@katerinaklecka1881 Sinner is favourite ,and will probably beat Daniil in straight sets. Someone who beats Novak doesn't need to prove theirs mental strength against anyone. But I like Daniil, because he is Russian and naively straight forward person.

DM Meddy Doctor MD has a chance to revenge his losses against Rafa and Novak here at AO open. Sinner could be 1st time champion! It's a bit of a win for fans of the sport as well, imo.
Not a good strategy, if you know Medvedev and his more important wins, you then know most of his winners come when his opponent comes to the net. He’s exceptional when it comes to PUNISH NET APPROACHERS.
Zverev is not the mentally strongest player. He should see a sports psychologist; much more talented player than Medvedev yet finds a way to lose time and again after being up.
The dream is alive for Medvedev! The first time he won't face either Nadal or Djokovic in a Grand Slam final - though Sinner looks ready to take on the challenge, and has won their last 3 meetings
Daniil is just something else. He mentioned in the post match interview how his 5-set record was not great, and he wanted to improve it. Goes on to win three 5 setters in his first tournament of the year, two of them coming from 2-0 down. I hope he can recover, Sinner is definitely on fire but sometimes you get an adrenaline dump after climbing the mountain... It will be harder to pull some of those drop shots against Sinner too. Let's see if third time is the charm!
Meddy seemed to have a plan from the start to just wear Zverev down. He didn't play too aggressively, just kept hitting balls back, and trusted his ability to outlast Sascha. Brilliant.
6:15 ,That was absolutely GENIUS!,I only saw Federer do that kind of shot once,on the return, are you kidding me,that was the shot of the tournament by far!,he's a MONSTER.
Watching this match brought me new levels of respect for Sascha and Medvedev especially Meddy. After he lost the 5 setter against Rafa where it looked like he started to fade physically, I never ever thought he could come back from 2 sets to love down and win such a grueling encounter.
@@dannykntb0474 Funny thing is that they're paid "equally" at most of the events now, yet some continue to complain. I guess they want equality "plus".

1. His positioning-- he stays way behind the baseline. 2. Great anticipation. He's excellent at "reading" his opponent's swing. 3. Great footspeed, especially for someone as tall as he is.
Funny how everyone began talking about Zverev’s stat of “only ever lost a 2 sets to 0 lead at the 2020 US Open final” during the Alcaraz match, only for it to actually become relevant to this match. Thank you Meddy for saving this AO. Was rooting for a Sinner/Alcaraz final, but this would have been my second choice. Hope he has something left in the tank, but I’m expecting Sinner to win his first major in 3 or 4 sets.
Man. So much good to come from this tournament. I had doubts that Zverev would ever hit his peak again like he had before he got injured, but here he is. Medvedev back in the final after such a stellar comeback win. Must be an AWESOME boost to the confidence that only ignited the hunger. Sinner continuing his amazing push and breakthrough. I think we're going to have a great final. Meddy might be my favorite... but unfortunately I don't like his chances of beating Sinner. I saw the other semifinal match, and I don't think I've EVER seen anyone take it to Djokovic like that. Especially not in Melbourn. Whoever wins, I can't be upset. Absolutely well-deserved and well-earned on either end.
This kind of matches show why this sport is very entertaining and incredible. Cause when you think there's already a winner (as it happened with Zverev when he was leading 2-0 in sets), in all of a sudden, you see that nothing is defined 'till the last point (reason why at the end Medvedev won in five sets). It was a big battle that already prepare all of us for what the big final gonna be soon.
So happy for Meddy!! Coming back from two sets down is no easy feat. Tbh I really thought Alex was gonna beat him in four. Another thing is he’s really starting to improve his record in best-of-five, which is a really good thing! Wish them the best of luck against Jannik. As for Alex, it was really tough to sort of root against him since I’m a fan of his as well. But you have to pick one and I chose Meddy in this one. Still proud Alex made a deep run, I think he’s really back to form after his injury at the French. Keep your head up. It’s a long season 👏🏻. Wish you the best of luck the rest of the way.
