This is definitely the largest knex coaster on record I’ve seen in years since Balrog. The air time hill is absolutely incredible and one of the largest in knex. The mountains add a nice touch to this amazing project.
Former builder here. Weights under the trains (Pennies, magnets, etc) can really help keep momentum. I even used clay before. They will require you to beef up your supports a little though. Also, staggering your grey rods in your supports using small “granite” or yellow rods will keep your supports MUCH firmer and solid
Pretty insane! I can't imagine just how crazy the real falcon's flight will be (if it actually opens!) It would be super cool if you mounted a mini camera to a train to get pov footage
Dude this was amazing. In 2003, I got the Storm Mountain set for Christmas and absolutely loooooved it so much. I became obsessed with Knex rollercoaster setups and went round my neighbour's house a few years later to combine our sets to make a mini Kingda Ka. This was amazing. Also, as a side note, the flow of this video was really nice.
I'm a rollercoaster enthusiast and this is really cool! Use to try and make my own Knex coasters when I was younger but they never turned out this good!
This is next level. Every part of this video had me laughing, I was nervous time after time after seeing how many things had to be put into storage. AND ROLLER COASTER DREAMS? I HAVE THOSE TOO. too many. That base which uses no 7 way connectors is genius, like my jaw dropped because it looked so cool and effective. nerd stuff haha what a crazy 2 and a half months for you. so cool to see it all finished.
Awesome work, it really shows the capabilities of knex. It’s impressive how far these recreations have came recently , and everything seems to be fairly proportional in size to one another. Good job, looking forward to the next project.
@CoasterObsessed this vid is amazing and we appreciate the time and effort you put into these vids. Most of youtube is gaming where you sit down and look at a screen, but you put effort and physically put together these projects. Good job keep on making content and grinding so you can make it to a big youtuber 👍🏼
This is a very large and intricate build, it took a lot of planning and work and you should feel proud. The problem I have with K’nex roller coasters in general is that if you had a human small enough to ride the coaster they wouldn’t survive it. The relative speeds, the resulting G’s they’d experience, and the twists and turns would turn the little human to a skin bag of minced organs and broken bones. I’m a ball machine guy myself because there’s stuff that is infinitely cool you can build, but there’s no thought to comparing it to a real life object, and whether it would be survivable.
Although you’re right to a certain degree, one should keep in mind that when you scale down a rollercoaster, the mass of the trains should also be scaled down. The plastic trains he uses are relatively much too light compared to the real thing. If you slow the video down to 0,5x, you can see that the forces and speeds already look much more realistic.
You can't scale gravity. Because its smaller its going to look like its going much faster. If you blew it up to full size it would go the same speed as the real thing so technically its right. Lol. Dam physics! Haha.
@@rublie1426 Yep, this is exactly how miniature sets are used in movies. You have to film them at high speed frame rates, then slow them down in post. I'd love to see this setup in slow mo so it's silky smooth. You could do the maths and workout exactly the frame rate you need in order to match the same speeds it should be IRL.
I don’t know what might be the largest K’nex coaster ever built, but yours is surely in the running. Puts my CDX-Blocks+LEGO extended Xcelerator (unfinished & stuck in development hell) to absolute shame.
That was amazing my friend! I love rollercoasters and I think I have now caught the same bug as you! I’m going to start a k’nex coaster obsession! Hahah! Well done on that triumph of a build! Love it 🎉
I really like the fact youtube has these sort of coaster updates. I never woulda been able to do this style I was an old sscoasters user though, like what you're doing here. the accurate support structure was very nicely done. you have a unique build style!
mannnn why couldn't it have been anywhere elseeeeee. Shoutout to all the cishet white guy coaster enthusiasts yall go have fun on this shit. Like a 100ft drop and it feels like a predrop... I need to coup the government of Saudi Arabia just so i can get on this thing LOL awesome vid too btw, really impressive :)
I love how that boosted lifthill turned out! But also you gave me terrible flashbacks to that feeling when you wake up to find a big part of your coaster toppled over in the wind.
This is beyond amazing and inspiring. I can barely get my coasters to work in RCT. 😂 Thank you for sharing your passion and dedication (and engineering prowess) with us.
insane, that base design that doesn't use any 7 connectors is super cool as well, I might have to use that. most of the new pieces (blue rails/white flexi rods/surfer car) come from the 'shark run' set that was a walmart exclusive!
That would be awesome! One of my goals was to get in contact with people working on it!! I sent it to intamin and the social media accounts of quiddiya but they haven’t responded yet! Thank you!
Glad the algorithm showed me this video. Lots of videos I never seen before I can binge about K’nex coasters here! I always try to gauge how big a coaster can be made based on set numbers, helps plan ahead when building (I hate hitting a stopping point and needing to wait for more sets to arrive). How many sets do you think this took you to build? Also have you ever noticed any negative effects to having coasters outside? I’m quickly outgrowing my house with coaster size.
Please consider Subscribing! New coasters coming soon!!!
You should get a small clip-on mic for those shots where you're far away from the camera :)
I got one part way through the video 😂
@@CoasterObsessedoh ok Im only like a quarter of the way through 😂
Just shared it on my channel!
i love this video but in falconsflight is alsow a loop. where is ist ?
This model is actually a bigger ride than some kiddie coasters
yeah lol
It is 😮😮

Cool
If your baby is 2 inches
Can't believe Knex doesn't sell LSMs yet.
Real!

So incredible homie.
This surely qualifies him for an all-expenses paid trip to be one of the first on the ride!!! 👏

Great! Waiting for the POV
Its absolutely insane how good of a job you dit with this! that airtime hill looks amazing! Cudos on all the hard work and time you put into this.

This is probably one of the coolest Knex creations that I've seen on youtube! Amazing job getting it that accurate!
