Kevin and Ray I am so sorry you had to endure that rude, ignorant woman. It had nothing to do with her age. Rude is rude. I am a 75 year young knitter and I love you guys! And lastly, Kevin your “flower” sweater is gorgeous and looks amazing on you!! ❤❤
I’m absolutely gutted that people act that way in general, even more so that it was toward you. Lucky I wasn’t there. Lol. Granny would have gotten an ear full! Love you bunches! Love your wonder channel. Keep up the great content and beautiful vibe!
Age is no excuse for ignorance! Shame on grandma. By the way your Once and Floral sweater is gorgeous and looks great on you Kevin! I may have to knit one for my son, I think he would love it. First I have to get my yarn stash in order.
Yay, it's Kevin and Ray! Beautiful shawls! Sorry you had to endure those hateful comments. Being elderly does not excuse hatefulness (I'm 76). Love you guys. 💕🙂
It is always a pleasure to see you both. You are stand up people to walk away from such ignorance. I love all your knits, and I want to be on your yarn diet! Thank you for sharing.
Rude is never ok....no matter how old you are! Keep wearing those flowers or whatever else you want to wear! You guys are awesome, funny, kind and generous!
So sorry for the rude woman. You guys are the best and so inspiring. Kevin you have been adding orange and fall colors to your stash from the beginning. Ray you have been adding so many gorgeous colors to your stash too. Have a great knitty day.
I am so sorry that happened to you. You guys are so nice and giving guess that judgemental lady lost out on you gift you did the right thing in acting in love back towards her age is no excuse for judgement and rudeness. You are the better example of what we all need to act like in these hard days.
Aww, wow, this hits us in the feels. Thank you so much, that’s very sweet. This community and people like you make bad interactions better. Thank you 😊
SO great Meeting you both at VKL along with Kim, Kate, And Laura (The KnittingPosse). Loved your sweaters and didn't even notice your bags until I looked back at my pictures. Thanks for 2 hrs of fun
OMG, that floral sweater (which is gorgeous, btw) story had my jaw on the ground and tears in my eyes. You deserve a special place in heaven for not educating that old biddy, on the spot. You guys have hearts of gold and are far more loved than that poor, bitter woman could ever have been in her long, sad lifetime. I'm so sorry you experienced this.❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
I love these videos, your chatter keeps me company while I crochet and then on my crochet breaks I visit about all your links. You give SO much fantastic info on these videos that I learn stuff every time! Thank you so much for all you do, it is appreciated.
I’m in a wheelchair and I’m accustomed to people being stupid toward me. But that doesn’t make it suck any less. We brought an older friend of ours out to dinner once and she proceeded to tell my husband how “special” he was to be in a relationship with me, and at the end of the dinner we were taking a photo for Facebook and she PATTED ME ON THE HEAD. I practically swallowed my tongue, I was so shocked. So I can’t really say I know how you felt, but I think it comes close. It is rare anymore when I don’t stop someone who’s being stupid and educate them. But sometimes even I get so shocked that I don’t know what to do.
Starlight Knitting Society is a delight - it's a must-visit when you make it to Portland, OR. Thundercats, ho!!!! At Haynes House is one of our favorite local dyers and I use their yarn pretty regularly now. The family is terrific and I'm pretty sure you talked to Terri & Brian. Will be sure to tell them hello for you next time we see them! We looooved The Bear. So intense, but so worth it. Can't wait for another season.
I got you, Ray. "Side By Side" by Dean Martin Oh, we ain't got a barrel of money Maybe we're ragged and funny But we'll travel along singing a song Side by side
HEY YOU GUYS!!! Hopefully that dear old soul hasn't spent her whole life being judgmental, rude and intrusive. Kudos for treating her better than she treated you, and not letting her negativity get you down. You lovely lads do you, in your own ways, and seem to have a lot of fun doing so. We certainly have a lot of fun watching you do so. Congrats on the great haul.
Lovely new STASH items from VKL! Sorry for the ignorance you experienced and totally get how you managed it, sometimes silence and turning away is powerful.
Thanks for keeping me company while I try to finish up a test knit. Both of your sweater wips are great. Ray, that blue will look great on you. Kevin your once and floral looks great on you and is so beautiful. I was sorry to hear you had that experience.
I am so glad that you discovered some awesome Black makers! At Haynes House is Terri and Brian--Terri is the head dyer and her husband Brian makes project bags (Uncle Brian's Bags). Ain at Passion Knits Yarn is fantastic and comes up with some great clubs. And she often collaborates with Whitney Marie Anderson, who makes really, really good progress keepers, stickers, and bags. The perfect shout out for Black History Month!
Thanks for sharing VKL with us! So sorry for the dark spot during the adventure. At the very least, Granny should be old enough to have grown up with if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything!! Looks like some awesome acquisitions for your stash enhancement!! 🥰
I have made plans this year to use my STASH instead of buying any more for a while. I just love you guys. You both bring so much joy when I watch your videos. ❤️❤️
Hi Kevin and Ray, I have the yarn tracker, it is fantastic and working my way through my stash. Love the yarn you purchased and omg the Thundercats my sons loved that program and I did too. Have a fantastic week. Hugs from the UK❤❤
Thank you for another great podcast Gents. Ignorance unfortunately is not driven by age, and no one deserves to be spoken to disrespectfully or with judgement. So sorry about that situation.
Great show guys, thank you. Something my mom told me when I was young, "consider the source", that little sentence has served me well over the years when I have encountered ignorance. Loved all the yarn you purchased, definitely has given me a reason to make some space on my yarn shelves ...😆. Take care
I love the way you can enjoy yarn together. Not all of us have someone who understands the obsession and the struggle to not create a giant stash like I have. Kep up the great work!!
Thank you so much for the laughs. I really needed it. Our family had a tragic death and you both helped me so much. And if I had of heard Miss 112 granny I would have given her a few snarky remarks.
I'm so excited that I ran into you at VKL! Such a pleasure getting to chat with you. So sorry that you had to encounter such a rude lady. Ray, you and I are at the same place on Twist & Turns--I need to pick mine back up.
Love ya both! Stash. That flower sweater is everything and you wear it well! Never mind the senior citizen. Her ignorance is on her and not to be taken to heart.
Oh my gosh! My local shop! Starlight Knitting Society! Your bags are gorgeous! I purchased my first wax canvas bag from them and love it! My yarn stash is about to be enhanced by Myak yarn! Thanks so much!
Omg! It’s so hard to believe that there are still people out there with those preconceived, hateful notions AND that she felt compelled to let you know. I would have been A LOT less pleasant than you were, Kevin. You and Ray are the nicest couple and it makes me sick to think you had to be exposed to that kind of bigotry and total ignorance. Forget her- we love you both!
My husband was black and I white during the 70s through his death last year. We saw so many people who lived through the path of becoming better people. It is hard to meet them on the path but learn to just accept where they are and show them a way to grow to a better person. Don’t give them a snarky face but a sweet face. It is odd to look back over those short 47 years…. Enjoy you time and be happy!!
Appreciate the time and fun you bring! It is always great to hear of different makers and see projects I may not normally be drawn to. I have a cross-stitch stash tracker that is so helpful. One for yarn would be great!!
I saw the Mota yarn at Wisconsin Sheep & Wool last September. I was blown away with the story about this yarn. My knitting group is doing a Steven West KAL and a few of us had chosen the Dustland sweater including me. I bought the black Mota and I’m chugging along and absolutely loving it. I split for sleeves about a week ago and I’m about 2 to 3 inches past the sleeve split onto the body. Great purchase and that blue will look great on you Ray!
Bring on men wearing flower sweaters and pink shirts and whatever makes you smile the most. Am I weird that logging all of your stash into an app sounds like a fun way to spend an afternoon? Glad you had a good time at VKL. Love your podcast!
AT Haynes House is a great group. Terri and Brian are lovely. They are local to us dyers in Maryland, outside of DC. We first met them at a trunk show at our LYS, Sweet Pea Fiber. We've since bumped into them at Rhinebeck, Shenandoah Fiber Festival, and Maryland Sheep and Wool. Terri is also an author, we went to a meet & greet when her latest book was published. They are wonderful and their yarn is gorg!
Finally got wifi set up in my new place in a new city, woo! Excited to watch the rest of this episode finally! ❤ I always get inspo from your WIPS and I’m so excited to knit all the cozy things here in Buffalo!
Yes! Kevin your Moon Bump colors will be stunning! Ray I am looking forward to seeing your progress on your Dustland sweater. I have this on my list. Yay! You haven’t given up on Twists and Turns. Truly sorry you had to experience someone with a cold heart. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Kevin and Ray, thank you for another awesome podcast. Good call on getting MyAk yarn, I have some and love it. The Oslo hat is definitely something you can both tackle. It’s a really chill meditative knit with a few interesting techniques. Jonna (Kim & Jonna) has made like 11 of the Oslo hats. I am at 1 and I have plans for 2 more.
You are lovely gracious people. I wish I had been there. Someone that close to kicking off the mortal coil shouldn't leave it without being confronted with their ignorance
Once again a stellar podcast. I am usually all caught up with many podcasts but I have not listened to any since Feb 6. My husband and I have been full time RVers in a 43” motorhome for 6 years. We live in the US travelling during the winter and spend the summers in Canada. I am an obsessive knitter, knitting hours a day since we are both retired nurses. So when I say I had thousands of dollars worth of stash I know you can relate that I am not exaggerating. On Feb 6 our motorhome burned to the ground due to new faulty batteries we had had installed the month before. We are ok…..but my stash is all gone as well as all my knitted projects(sweaters shawls mitts hats etc etc) So here is the perfect opportunity to start and track my future stash with the new app. And by the way kudos on how you handled that rude old hag….seriously being old does not give you the right to be ignorant. You handled it much better than I would have. But then again you guys are classy so there you go. Sorry for the hurt…it’s never ok.
OMG so sorry to hear about your motor home and the lose of all your items. You also are the winner of the giveaway. If you can email us your email address, we can have the code sent to you.
LOL Ray, it's called a ring distaff or finger distaff. A podcaster I watch uses one a lot. Hers also has the little bird on it. :) And I love your Vertices Unite!
Kevin and Ray, I would love to try out the new Stash App. I loved your recap of VKL. I actually met you there briefly. I was walking past you both and actually recognized your sweater and said to myself, “Hey, Kevin made that sweater!” And then I realized that it was actually you wearing it. I stopped and said hello. I would have loved to spend some time talking to you but my daughters were with me and they were teasing me for being a “Fan Girl”. Your sweater was amazing! I’m sorry that you encountered an ignorant woman. Don’t let her steal your joy. Your sweater was so beautiful and you should enjoy wearing it! Ray, I believe that you were wearing your Riddari. After seeing yours on RUclips, I bought yarn and made one for myself. I was going to wear it to VKL but was afraid I’d be too warm. You inspired me and it’s my favorite sweater. Kevin, you have such a talent for mixing colors. You color choices are always stunning. I wish I could borrow you for a day when choosing colors for my Stephen West shawls. Thank You both for your You Tube Channel. I look forward to each show and enjoy every minute!
Kevin, I am so sorry you had to experience the ignorance of that elderly lady. No matter the age people know to be respectful. This proud Momma Ally is giving you big hugs. Keep shining like the bright star that you are. 🌈
Your scarves are so lovely.I hope you gents get plenty of wear out of your makes, they are too good to be on a drawer. I say that a good night of wine is the cure for a long week of work. Ray, you are so funny, always getting your way in life. Does that mean that eventually Kevin will one day become a full time yarn dying artist? I just love you two. Such a great couple with so much talent! Thanks for inviting us in.
I've been using the Knit&Note app for about two months now and I am in love. You can store patterns, your stash, and start projects on there. There are row counters, and you can take great notes. It will also show the number of projects you have completed and how much yardage you have used. It's been super helpful and fun to work with! :)
Awww you guys, thanks so much for the mention Kevin, it is ALWAYS a pleasure to see y'all, and I know we'll be seeing each other again at CT Sheep & Wool if not sooner ❤️
Love to see the haul and hear the VKL stories. And hey, I got a ball of that Wooldreamers Mota (marketed to me as "cheese yarn" - lol) at Knit City Vancouver last September. Mine is purple and now I'm thinking I'd like the same colour on the grey base for low-contrast mittens and hat or something. Hmmmm!
As always I enjoyed another episode. 😊 It took me three nights to watch, but I enjoyed seeing all the purchases and projects! My stash is getting out of control and would certainly benefit from Caleb’s new app. 😊
I believe, that comes from the Castilla-La Mancha region, the D. Quijotes land, and the great Manchego cheese, very tasty and popular..,thank you, for putting it in the map.
Hey Ray - I am also working on Twists and Turns and I bought a fun little I-cord maker on Amazon which has been a life saver, as well as very fun !! For the next section!!
Hi Guys, my father in law was 102 when he passed and he lived with us and we always spoke about race and sexual orientation and many other topics that views have changed and he was always very sensitive to everyone’s feelings and always open minded. Bottom line regardless of how or when you grew up, we can all learn just as he did. You guys are the best ❤ always look forward to seeing you every fortnight! I have lots of stash to organize would love to get the app!
Kevin you handled that situation with such grace, sorry that happened to you. It was great to see you at VKL! I absolutely love your shawls! Ray your vertices is amazing. ❤
Terri and aBrian live in MD right outside of DC, online only. They have been at Maryland Sheep and Wool. They are wonderful people and an amazing family. Terri has organized a group DMV Fiber Friends which meets periodically. DC/MD/VA I am so blessed to know them and live in their area
Thank you again for sharing your knits and purchases. It's best to just ignore ignorant remarks as you did. Sorry that you are left with that memory. best always!
I'm glad you had a great time! I didn't go this year because of my health issues. I saw some Murky Depths at Knit.Pearl in Avon awhile ago. So pretty! I may have to join in on this Oslo hat kick. I didn't visit Oslo when I was in Norway. I was on the other side of the country in Stavanger. Your faces just lit up with the Thundercats kit.....it was fun to watch. I've been to M&J Trimmings in the city. Yes, if you haven't been to NY is awhile, Times Square has changed! I remember walking around it (with my parents) in the 70's and the peep shows and other businesses that were in Times Square (LOL)
I am sorry to hear about that rude woman and what she said to you. Ignorant people suck. I am happy you had a good time otherwise at VKL. Loved all your purchases, and love you both!
Loved catching up! I think your floral sweater is one of my faves, the colors are gorgeous! People shock me. I would have had to walk away too. Glad you both had so much fun! I laughed at so many points in this episode, so much witty banter and completely thought those same tunes throughout, Ray. ALL THE BEST to both of you! - Kimberly
It was great hearing about your weekend. I've never been to anything like that so was very interested in your take on it. You did find some great yarn and now I know just what to look for for a sweater for my husband, since I definitely don't have a sweater quantity in my stash.
WOW!! I would have probably opened my big mouth. I can do that now since I’m considered a senior citizen. So glad the crafting world is a huge diverse group of people. You did great walking away. Sigh….
You need to go to Italy and drink Prosecco. BTW, it's bruschetta aka "broosketta". LOL That's too bad about Kevin's experience with the older lady. Glad you had a good time in NY. Maybe I'll get there another time! I've looked at that App to track your yarn stash. I don't use Ravelry so it might be a good idea!
I really like the umbrella toes and heels because the ssk stitches on my cut in heels leave a gap. It has the same number of decreases but they’re spread out over rows.
Aww thank you! You’re so right, age isn’t an excuse. I think Kevin looks very handsome in the sweater too 🥰
I think that is so awful that she needed to spread her vile opinions.. she is very ignorant.
Ray, I only uses the umbrella toe and heel now for my socks. I love it! Fits better for me. 😊
I’m absolutely gutted that people act that way in general, even more so that it was toward you. Lucky I wasn’t there. Lol. Granny would have gotten an ear full! Love you bunches! Love your wonder channel. Keep up the great content and beautiful vibe!
Aww thank you so much, we love you too 🥰
Age is no excuse for ignorance! Shame on grandma. By the way your Once and Floral sweater is gorgeous and looks great on you Kevin! I may have to knit one for my son, I think he would love it. First I have to get my yarn stash in order.
Oh I totally see what you did there! LOL good job!!
Yay, it's Kevin and Ray! Beautiful shawls! Sorry you had to endure those hateful comments. Being elderly does not excuse hatefulness (I'm 76). Love you guys. 💕🙂
Aww thank you so very much ❤️❤️
I just love Ray’s sense of humor and the little songs he breaks out and how he cracks up Kevin
Lol it’s fun, we both just sing random stuff all day around the house.
It is always a pleasure to see you both. You are stand up people to walk away from such ignorance. I love all your knits, and I want to be on your yarn diet! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Kathy!
That silly lady probably has never watched your show and has no idea how very wonderful you truly are, hugs!
Aww thanks Sheila!
Rude is never ok....no matter how old you are! Keep wearing those flowers or whatever else you want to wear! You guys are awesome, funny, kind and generous!
Thanks Sue 🥰🥰
So sorry for the rude woman. You guys are the best and so inspiring. Kevin you have been adding orange and fall colors to your stash from the beginning. Ray you have been adding so many gorgeous colors to your stash too. Have a great knitty day.
Lol I really do love orange/rust color.
So great to meet you too!! Thanks for saying hello and being part of this awesome community ❤️❤️❤️
Good morning Kevin and Ray!
Knitting along while you keep me company
Hi!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, hope you are doing well.
OMG, that floral sweater (which is gorgeous, btw) story had my jaw on the ground and tears in my eyes. You deserve a special place in heaven for not educating that old biddy, on the spot. Thank you Kevin!
Awe! Thanks for the Hot Toddy Hoodie shout out. It was wonderful to meet you both at VKL on the Saturday. Even if it was brief! - Knitatude
It was so nice to see you!! I’m so excited to start the sweater!! I need about 8 extra arms to knit all the things!!! 😂❤️❤️

Some people just need to have a rude-ectomy!
I'm glad that the rest of your experience was so positive and I absolutely LOVE the acquisitions!
Starlight Knitting Society is a delight - it's a must-visit when you make it to Portland, OR.
Thundercats, ho!!!!

We looooved The Bear. So intense, but so worth it. Can't wait for another season.
Your yarn purchases were so fun to see and your knitting dreams. You can add it to the “stash” wall behind you😉 I enjoyed your podcast as usual…
Thank you Sue, our stash is more like a yarn store now lol.
I got you, Ray. "Side By Side" by Dean Martin
Oh, we ain't got a barrel of money
Maybe we're ragged and funny
But we'll travel along singing a song
Side by side
I was singing the song in my head, but couldn't remember who made it popular.
Now it’s in my head…
YES!! OMG thank you…though now I can’t get it out of my head..haha
Thank you Kitten!!
Thank you Tyanne 😊 Good luck with your test knit.
I am so glad that you discovered some awesome Black makers! At Haynes House is Terri and Brian--Terri is the head dyer and her husband Brian makes project bags (Uncle Brian's Bags). Awesome!! Thanks for that! We’ll totally check those out. Terri and Brian were soooo nice and we can’t wait to knit with the yarn ❤️❤️
Love your yarn purchases and planned projects. The yarn STASH app is something I could use for sure. Thanks for the book reviews!
LOVE THE GREEN IN YOUR SHAWL KEVIN Beautiful shawl Ray
Thank you Lilian!
I guess if I win this I’ll have no reason not to organize my STASH. always great to see you guys
Thanks for sharing VKL with us! So sorry for the dark spot during the adventure. At the very least, Granny should be old enough to have grown up with if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything!! Looks like some awesome acquisitions for your stash enhancement!! 🥰
Thank you Julie!
You guys are such fun keep it coming.🎉 individuals who can’t be nice or hold their tongues should stay home. ❤
Thank you Christine.
I just love those leather buttons. I love antler buttons as well. So cool
I almost bought some antler buttons too.
What a great new way to organize your stash! I am also so sorry for your encounter with that mean ol’ lady. It was truly uncalled for!!!!
Love it Kevin ....that should go on a bag ... 'dropped stitches don't scare me' x
Hahah love this!!
I have made plans this year to use my STASH instead of buying any more for a while. I just love you guys. You both bring so much joy when I watch your videos. ❤️❤️
Thank you! We absolutely love doing these and spending time with you all ❤️❤️
Hi Kevin and Ray, I have the yarn tracker, it is fantastic and working my way through my stash. Love the yarn you purchased and omg the Thundercats my sons loved that program and I did too. Have a fantastic week. Hugs from the UK❤❤
Hi Linda!! So happy to hear that you like that yarn tracker.
Thank you for another great podcast Gents.
Ignorance unfortunately is not driven by age, and no one deserves to be spoken to disrespectfully or with judgement. So sorry about that situation.
Thank you Susan!
Great show guys, thank you.
Something my mom told me when I was young, "consider the source", that little sentence has served me well over the years when I have encountered ignorance.
Loved all the yarn you purchased, definitely has given me a reason to make some space on my yarn shelves ...😆.
Take care
Hi Dee, Thank you for sharing, that is a really great way to think of things.
Thanks for sharing your Vogue Knitting adventure. Lovely yarn haul to add to your stash.
Thanks for watching!
I love the way you can enjoy yarn together. Not all of us have someone who understands the obsession and the struggle to not create a giant stash like I have. Kep up the great work!!
Thank you Marietta!
oh a diner!!! from NY/NJ living in Santa Fe I miss REAL diners. You all had such a good time. Thanks for sharing. you are the best
Nothing like a good diner.
I have a whole room of yarn- quite a stash!
I’m an Apple nerd. I’d love to keep track of my stash on an app designed for iOS! Ray, those blue yarns will be spectacular!
So glad to run into you and Kate on Sunday! Sounds like you had a great time (despite the one rude, ignorant lady). Hope you are having a good week!
It was great to see you too!! Seeing everyone is our favorite ❤️
Thank you so much for the laughs. I really needed it. Our family had a tragic death and you both helped me so much.
And if I had of heard Miss 112 granny I would have given her a few snarky remarks.
We’re so sorry to hear about your loss! Glad we could bring a smile or two your way. Sending lots of hugs and love to you and your family ❤️❤️
I so need to organize my stash ! The app sounds like a winner
I'm so excited that I ran into you at VKL! Such a pleasure getting to chat with you. So sorry that you had to encounter such a rude lady. Ray, you and I are at the same place on Twist & Turns--I need to pick mine back up.
It was so great getting to meet you.
watching the weather forecasts; looks like CT is in the path. Stay warm.
Thanks so much!! We’ve got plenty of knits 🧶❤️❤️
Love all of your stash purchases. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! It means so much to us ❤️❤️
I like that I can just take a picture of my yarn stash.
Agreed, it’s a great feature.
Love ya both! Stash. That flower sweater is everything and you wear it well! Never mind the senior citizen. Her ignorance is on her and not to be taken to heart.
Thank you Deb.
Oh my gosh! My local shop! Starlight Knitting Society! Your bags are gorgeous! I purchased my first wax canvas bag from them and love it! My yarn stash is about to be enhanced by Myak yarn! Thanks so much!
Oh how awesome!! You’re so lucky to be so close ❤️
She must’ve been living in a shoe for the last 50 years. Shrew.
My husband was black and I white during the 70s through his death last year. We saw so many people who lived through the path of becoming better people. It is hard to meet them on the path but learn to just accept where they are and show them a way to grow to a better person. Don’t give them a snarky face but a sweet face. Thank you Carol 😊
Appreciate the time and fun you bring! It is always great to hear of different makers and see projects I may not normally be drawn to.
I have a cross-stitch stash tracker that is so helpful. One for yarn would be great!!
Thank you Cyndia. That is what we love about podcasts, we always find new patterns and yarn, always walk away inspired.
Glad you guys have a *mostly* good time at VKL. My stash is not huge but every time I go to a yarny event, it grows 🤦♀️
VKL was so much fun, it was great to meet a bunch of people and spend time with friends.
I’m so glad I found your videos! Thank you for all the inspiration. I know what to do with my stash. 😊
Thank you so much for watching and commenting Alicia, we really appreciate it.

The yarn is beautiful, the story of how it has been sourced is so cool.
Bring on men wearing flower sweaters and pink shirts and whatever makes you smile the most. Am I weird that logging all of your stash into an app sounds like a fun way to spend an afternoon? Glad you had a good time at VKL. Love your podcast!
Hi Jennifer! Spending and afternoon logging yarn would be great, seeing what’s in your stash can be so inspiring.
The stash tracker app sounds awesome!
Thank You Guys Always A Joy to Spend time with you both, You made my Sunday 💙🤗💙
Our pleasure! We love spending time with you all ❤️❤️

Hey Scott! They really were, the booth was amazing, definitely wish we got more of their yarn.
Finally got wifi set up in my new place in a new city, woo! Excited to watch the rest of this episode finally! ❤ I always get inspo from your WIPS and I’m so excited to knit all the cozy things here in Buffalo!
Yay! Congrats on the new place! Moving can be so stressful but Buffalo is a great place to knit and wear all that cozy goodness ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for watching and commenting Fiona! We can’t wait to cast on the Oslo.
I am glad that added to your stash because mine is overflowing. Luckily you inspire me to work on my planned projects for my beautiful stash.
Aww 🥰
Oh, and for my husband’s deeper insteps, I just add rows before I start the decreases. Fits great!
That’s is a great trick, we both typically add 4-5 rows in our heels before starting decreases.
You are lovely gracious people. I wish I had been there. Someone that close to kicking off the mortal coil shouldn't leave it without being confronted with their ignorance
Love the AT Haynes House yarn! You will love knitting with it.
It’s so nice!!! ❤️❤️
Thank you Valorie, I’m show happy with the shawl.
Love your podcast and love all the stash! Also love your purchases!
Thank you Jo.
OMG Ray! Seeing your Vertices Unite shawl makes me want to knit another one!
Hi Lynne, Do it….it just such a great pattern and so fun to knit.
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast ok! You convinced me! I agree with you that it's a great pattern and fun to knit!
Thank you so much Danielle.
You guys do a really really good job. Love this and both of you! Wish I lived close to you, we'd be besties!
Totally!! Come on over bestie!! Lol 😂
Kevin, I am so sorry you had to experience the ignorance of that elderly lady. No matter the age people know to be respectful. This proud Momma Ally is giving you big hugs. Keep shining like the bright star that you are. 🌈
Thank you Clara!
Since I’m living in a tent at a state park this summer I am knitting from STASH almost exclusively. 😉
Hi Nicole, What an awesome experience that will be, hope you have enough stash to make it through the summer 🤣
That sounds amazing! I love car and tent camping! And always having stash on hand is a must!
If you are in the South Carolina area this summer, come say hello. We can hang out with Mother Nature & Knit.
@@nicolecox2151 that would be awesome! But don't think I'll be near there. I'm in California, but may road trip to Oklahoma to visit my family. 🚗
🥰
Your scarves are so lovely.I hope you gents get plenty of wear out of your makes, they are too good to be on a drawer. I say that a good night of wine is the cure for a long week of work. Ray, you are so funny, always getting your way in life. Does that mean that eventually Kevin will one day become a full time yarn dying artist? I just love you two. Such a great couple with so much talent! Thanks for inviting us in.
Hiya! Yes, Kevin is going to be focusing on dyeing full time in the next month! I’m so happy for him and that he gets to explore his passion 🥰
I've been using the Knit&Note app for about two months now and I am in love. You can store patterns, your stash, and start projects on there. There are row counters, and you can take great notes. It will also show the number of projects you have completed and how much yardage you have used. It's been super helpful and fun to work with! :)
Thanks...downloading it to give it a try.
Thank you for the feedback on the app Kira, we will have to check it out.
Awww you guys, thanks so much for the mention Kevin, it is ALWAYS a pleasure to see y'all, and I know we'll be seeing each other again at CT Sheep & Wool if not sooner ❤️
It’s always sooo great to see you. You always have such a warm smile and it’s like running into an old friend 🥰
Hmmmm!
It would great on the other base for a low contrast project, it’s been really nice to work with.
As always I enjoyed another episode. 😊 It took me three nights to watch, but I enjoyed seeing all the purchases and projects! My stash is getting out of control and would certainly benefit from Caleb’s new app. 😊
Thank you Diane!
I believe, that comes from the Castilla-La Mancha region, the D. Quijotes land, and the great Manchego cheese, very tasty and popular..,thank you, for putting it in the map.
Thanks for the info! You’re so right 😊 it’s absolutely lovely 🥰
Hey Ray - I am also working on Twists and Turns and I bought a fun little I-cord maker on Amazon which has been a life saver, as well as very fun !! For the next section!!
Hi Gayle, We have thought about purchasing one, we might have to make the leap.
Good luck going through your yarn stash to get it all in the app!
Lol 😂
Hi Guys, my father in law was 102 when he passed and he lived with us and we always spoke about race and sexual orientation and many other topics that views have changed and he was always very sensitive to everyone’s feelings and always open minded. Bottom line regardless of how or when you grew up, we can all learn just as he did. You guys are the best ❤ always look forward to seeing you every fortnight!
I have lots of stash to organize would love to get the app!
Thank you so much Olivia!
Kevin you handled that situation with such grace, sorry that happened to you. It was great to see you at VKL! I absolutely love your shawls! Ray your vertices is amazing. ❤
Thank you Cassandra. It was great getting to see you at VKL. Hope you enjoyed your time there.
Hi guys please do ever what you whant and feel ist a plaesure to see you here ♥
Aww thank you so much 😊
Terri and aBrian live in MD right outside of DC, online only. They have been at Maryland Sheep and Wool. They are wonderful people and an amazing family. Terri has organized a group DMV Fiber Friends which meets periodically. DC/MD/VA I am so blessed to know them and live in their area
Hi Joyce, They were wonderful, such great energy and a beautiful booth, we both can’t wait to work with their yarn.
Thank you again for sharing your knits and purchases. It's best to just ignore ignorant remarks as you did. Sorry that you are left with that memory. best always!
Thank you Marla!
Stash!! I have been wanting to try something to keep track of mine.
I would love to try the stash tracker so!😊
Hey Kevin and Ray it's always a pleasure listening to your podcast. Can't wait to meet you both.💕❤️
Thank you so much Patricia.
My stash is in need of organising. Looks like Vogue was fun. Love the orange yarns.
It was a great time, and I’m so obsessed with orange lately.
My stash needs some organization help! Loved your VKL haul and can’t wait to see those beautiful yarns come to life.
Lol ours too!!!
I am sorry to hear about that rude woman and what she said to you. Ignorant people suck. I am happy you had a good time otherwise at VKL. Loved all your purchases, and love you both!
Aww thanks so much ❤️❤️
Loved catching up! - Kimberly
Thank you, it was such a great weekend.
It was great hearing about your weekend. I've never been to anything like that so was very interested in your take on it. You did find some great yarn and now I know just what to look for for a sweater for my husband, since I definitely don't have a sweater quantity in my stash.
Thanks 😊 it was a really great experience
WOW!! I would have probably opened my big mouth. I can do that now since I’m considered a senior citizen. So glad the crafting world is a huge diverse group of people. You did great walking away. Sigh….
Thank you 😊
You need to go to Italy and drink Prosecco. BTW, it's bruschetta aka "broosketta". LOL That's too bad about Kevin's experience with the older lady. Glad you had a good time in NY. Maybe I'll get there another time! I've looked at that App to track your yarn stash. I don't use Ravelry so it might be a good idea!
Yes, lets take a trip! We are so down for that!! ❤️
I de stashed my yarn last year during our move!!!!!!
I really like the umbrella toes and heels because the ssk stitches on my cut in heels leave a gap. It has the same number of decreases but they’re spread out over rows.
Yes you’re so right, and the fit is really great too 😊
