Ray, congrats to you for your award. I am very sure that you deserved/earned it. ❤️❤️❤️you guys. Kevin be careful wielding that chainsaw, we don’t want either of you hurt.
Hi Kevin and Ray, Congratulations 🥂on your award Ray. Thanks for sharing the yarn shows and all your purchases. Love both of your jumpers your knitting. My ziggy shawl is coming along and so enjoying it. Before I started watching you I never would have more than one thing on the needles now I have 3 a crochet blanket for my Grandson, ziggy shawl and a cardi for me. It’s lovely to have the change. See you next time. Have a good two weeks🦊🧶
Guys, guys, guys - what I absolutely love about your vlogs is of course seeing your knitty stuff but also hearing the story of your weekend trips or your few days away at a woolly gathering. It’s how you tell the whole story and it makes me think I have come along with you both. Just fabulous so thank you very much. Congratulations on your nursing award Ray. How brilliant is that. Any piccies of the evening?? Kevin, I hope you are enjoying you new life routine. I think you bank is going to enjoy the summer months recovering from your “ breaking the bank” acquisitions 🙈🤭😂

Hi Ray and Kevin, thank you for sharing your escapades and all the deliciousness you purchased. Hubby loved your Star War purchases. In lockdown hubby and I started walking 4 times a week to help with our mental health but also to get out and enjoy the fresh air too and it has become part of our life now. Have a wonderful few weeks ❤❤❤
Again, congratulations on your Erlbacher!!!!! I am super excited. It was really great to hang out with you both. It was a really nice experience to sit down and chat.
Was bummed I couldn't spot you guys in the crowd, but so happy that you made it on a great year for the festival! It was so beautiful out and no trodding through mud like the last 6 years. Great show and loved seeing all of your new purchases! Happy Knitting!
Hi Guys, what a fun podcast, I feel like I miss so much living on the West coast. Thank you for taking me along on all your knitting trips. See you soon...
Thank you, Ray, for the snippet of There’s Always Tomorrow from Rudolph!!! It’s my fav 😊Love hearing about all the traveling you’ve both been doing. I’m living vicariously thru you! 😄
The thing about spinning on a drop spindle is that it's so compact, convenient, portable, relaxing and almost meditative. You guys should give it a try. Try out a Turkish drop spindle because that one comes apart and can be tossed in your pocket if you get a short shaft one :) and it's fun making a pretty little center pull cop on it.
Congratulations Ray on your outstanding nursing performance. A special place in my heart for RNs, my daughter is a certified RN in oncology. Have a great week guys! 🙃
Congratulations, Ray, on your nursing award!👏🏼👏🏼 My mom and grandma were both RNs back in the day. And Kevin, I am so happy for your CSM order! I just haven’t been able to justify the expense but I’ve been smitten with them for quite awhile. Lucky you, you can write-off as a business expense when you make sock tubes to sell in your shop! (hint, hint😉) Have a wonderful time in Montreal!
OMG…I LOVE THAT ray won an RN award…I cannot remember the last time an award ceremony took place at my hospital…and I’ve worked there for 41 years….congratulations!
Omg thank you guys so much! Meeting you IRL was one of the highlights of the weekend for me! You two are just perfection. Hoping to spend more time soon 🫶🏽💓
I know I'm late, still binge watching from episode 1. But congrats Ray on the award. I bet your patients love the hell outta you. You have a nice, calming, sweet nature.
Thank you for sharing all the adventures with us!! I live in the southwest (New Mexico) so live vicariously thru you both!!! Congratulations Ray!! Love the new color ways Kevin! Gonna get a Birdie Parker ruler, bag strap thingy!!! 💜💜💜
Thank you both again, for a lovely episod. I love listen to you and see all the fine knitting you do. Looking forward to the next episod. With love from bright summer evenings in Stockhom ❤
Great to hear about Maryland Sheep and Wool and Yarncentrick and see the wonderful treasures you found. Gabby was my first trunk show too. At Knit New Haven. I had met her at a knit group in Fairfield and she was wearing her amazing Soldotna Crop made from her hand dyed yarns. I was so naive. This acrylic guy, at the time..., Not sure I even knew there was such thing as hand dying yarn! It was great to see her yarns at KNH that day and glimpse other actual male knitters! You guys! We didn't meet in that busy store, but I thought that was so cool! Possibly my first male knitter sighting! Certainly locally. Best wishes for more May!
Hello from Maryland. I am SO BUMMED that our paths never crossed at Maryland Sheep and Wool. I was there working all weekend and kept looking out for you guys. Of course there were an estimated 17,500 people on Saturday! Sunday was much calmer but hotter. I’m so glad you had a great time. Y’all come back!
I'm so glad you got to meet amazing people. The Haynes family are the best - we love them as our local dyer! The backdrop is a "step and repeat." Next time we will definitely take pictures! It was such a treat to see you both, compare notes, and get some hugs. If you can believe it we went to Ellicott City for lunch before we headed to the festival. Small world! We love playing games! Remind us to show you the game closet sometime.
Another great / fun episode! Ray, congratulations on your award! Well deserved, I'm sure! Loved meeting you at Yarncentrick. Got goosebumps when you told the story about my husband recognizing y'all and telling me you were there. I called him to see it too. 🥰 He knits too (one sweater and several hats). Great purchases at all events. Looking forward to your next episode!
Loved the recap of your weekend in Maryland! My husband and I were the ones to stop you on the ramp into Yarncentrick, and I had to call him in to watch when you started talking about it. Thank you for being so gracious with us, especially when you were in search of “John” 🤣 Also, earlier in the episode my daughter came in, and I mentioned that her dad and I had met you guys in person last weekend. Her 10-year-old non-knitting (yet) self was suitably impressed. Congrats on the award, Ray, and have an awesome time in Montreal!
Love your new colorways Kevin esp Autumn Drive. Wow wee! Ray your Parish Lines 2.0 looks AMAZING ❤❤❤. Maryland Sheep and Wool sounded fantastic too. What a fun weekend. Thanks for the podcast!
Well done on your reward Ray! 🥳 Vendors must do a happy dance when they see you coming along-you’re soooo easily sold! 🤣 Kev, your lux fingering purchases look veeeeeery like 2 you have in your shop! 😉
Oh gosh! You guys are enablers. LOL The minute you showed the Birdie Parker watchband I had to go online and order one. I ordered the real cable design. Anxious to receive it. Thank you for showing yours. Another fun podcast. ❤️
Congratulations Ray!🎉 Watching you show your yarn/knitting swag was like watching a couple of kids at Christmas 😂. Now I have to go to Maryland Sheep and Wool!
Congratulations Ray 🎉 I was sad that I didn’t get to see you guys at Maryland Sheep & Wool, but completely understand why you guys didn’t go on Sunday. I kept hearing it was crazy busy Saturday. The longest line I was in on Sunday was the food line, but it moved quickly. It was a great time.
I always look forward to your podcasts. Congratulations, Ray, on your reward. I'm a retired RN and am always glad to see a good nurse being recognized. On a sad note I am very bummed that I missed seeing you at Magpie Fibers (apparently by less than 15 minutes) and at Maryland Sheep and Wool and I was watching for you. You are so right about the traffic. My daughter and I go every couple of years and we arrive on Saturday mornings nearly an hour early, armed with coffee and knitting. You both have a great haul. I also love Madder Root and have a few of her bags. Have a great time in Montreal (it's on my bucket list). Hope to see you in Rhinebeck.
Thank you Jan. Sorry we missed you at Magpie Fibers and Mary Sheep & Wool. Hopefully we see you at Rhinebeck, that can be a little easier to find us, we are typically on the hill on Saturday for most of the day.
Congratulations on your nursing award, Ray. Recognition is wonderful when you deserve it. Maybe if I travel from my home off Maryland, to my home town in N.H., I will see your Billboard when I go thru Conn. Its always nice when I can get the time to watch you gents.
That was a jam-packed podcast! Congrats on your award, Ray. Have fun in Montreal. You probably won’t have time this trip, but I recommend visiting Quebec City one day. We had our honeymoon there [ahem] years ago, so it holds a very special place in my heart.
Oh my God! I might have to just go buy those paper cranes right now because I make those almost everywhere I go and just leave them 😂 it’s like my calling card! I even can make them out of gum wrappers! There’s a few rows of them on top of my cabinet at work so that people can see them when they walk past. Love that!!
Watched you a bit yesterday but glad I saved the rest of your video to join you on Mother’s Day. Looking forward to an afternoon knitting on the deck.😊
Congrats Ray! I love seeing all of the things you guys got. That fox tote is soo cute! Couldn't help myself and immediately went over to Tanneicasey and purchased a bag. I love watching you guys and finding out about all different makers. That EKF yarn is soo good, I'm anxiously awaiting my NP order from her, I've been trying to snag a skein of the daybreak color for a while now.
Exciting news about your new sock machine. I look forward to watching your learning curve since I would like to have one also. Congratulations to Ray on your nursing award. Glad to hear your hospital appreciates you! Maryland Sheep and Wool sounded wonderful and inspiring! Keep the delightful podcasts coming…we really enjoy watching you both! Stowestudio
Congratulations on the award Ray 🎉 When you guys go to Montreal you need to go to La Banquise for Poutine. Other places to visit is Old Montreal, Botanical Gardens, Parc du Montreal. There are lots of farmers markets to visit in Little Italy. A lot of the tourist sites you can get there by taking the Metro. I can’t wait to hear about your trip and your thoughts on Montreal. I plan on going back to see my brother in September.
Thank you Kathy! Thanks for the suggestions, we went to the Botanical Gardens many many years ago, would love to go again. We are really excited to go this year.
That’s so exciting that you are getting a Erlbacher sock knitting machine! My husband ordered me one for my 40th birthday last Saturday. I am counting down the weeks and it has only been 1 so far.
Hello to you two, I am new to group, back to knitting , it had been a major part of my life but I also quilt and at some point, you have to pay more attention to one or the other .. Found you on U-tube and enjoying you both, Kevin, you will have to fill me in on the giant mugs - the ones with my dishes are too small, I like a bigger one. Really enjoying your podcasts - From Boston, SC retiree - / children spread with jobs, one in Ct. -
Hi, Thank you so much for checking out our channel and commenting, we really appreciate it. The mugs that we have are from Pawley Studios, they make great mugs and ceramic pieces.
I can't believe it's been 2 weeks already!! Don't talk about hot....on Wednesday it was about 70°+/-, needed the heater in the morning..... tomorrow is supposed to be 101°, AC is already on!! 🙄 Congratulations Ray!!! Made me smile when you were talking about a 6 hour drive.....I drive (at least once/twice a year) 13 hours to see my BFF in Idaho.... piece of cake!! 🤣😂🤣😂 Haven't yet this year.... getting over Donner pass still isn't the best. I learned something about those "screw-on" shawl pins....they're also a cable needle!!! I received a couple "cats" as a gift with a yarn purchase, thinking it was just a pin.....then I watched a podcaster (for the life of me I can't remember who) & she was using it as a cable needle saying that you almost never drop stitches with one! Tried it & it was PERFECT because it doesn't get in the way!
Thanks for the shout-out for the New Jersey Turnpike. Makes my Jersey heart happy. Ray, you mentioned about liking the Dapple yarn this time around but not the first time. I wonder if it's a matter of the needles you used. Maybe wood vs. metal. Or maybe a different size. Needles can make a big difference.
Hi Sandy! We loved the drive, it was definitely the easiest part of our trip. It must be the needles/gauge I am getting this time, but it is wonderful to work with. Sad they have discontinued making it.
Sounds like a great time! I have a Pawley mug that is Princess Leia Sheeple mug (I LOVE the one Kevin got. I didn't notice the ships until you mentioned it.) A Sheeple is a design from Erin Lane bags. So it's a sheep in the Leia slave costume. I LOVE the Jacob sheep! It's my favorite sheep. They didn't have it at CT S+W. I got a raven and chicadees to make. I think I have to join this year's club. And congratulations to Ray!!
Happy Nurses Week and Congratulations Ray on both your award and grad school grades and progress. I’m looking forward to seeing your knitting machine guys, and I agree with Ray, Kevin, the yarn he’s using for his socks that you dyed is really nice looking.
I’m always so excited to see the notification for your podcast. Love all your purchases and how you provide the details. You did a great job recapping all the places you went. Congrats Ray on your award and for the “A”! Kevin, I’ve made two purchases of your yarn and I can’t wait to buy more. Your colors are absolutely beautiful and your technique is spot on. 😊
Kevin, re a sleeveless cardigan, if this is the look you are after, searching buttoned vest gives you some options. Ray congratulations on your award. Very happy for you. I don't suppose the billboard will make it to Australia but would love to see a pic when it comes out. A wonderful episode as usual xx
I love my mugs from Pawly Studios! I have two. One that says “I knit past my bedtime” and one that has Mando’s helmet with “This is the way”. I need to order another one.
Hello, I went to the Maryland sheep and wool festival too. I saw you guys from distance, and I just wanted to let you know that you should try the train. My friends and I have been going for the past two years and taking the train, and it is so nice to be able to knit and visit and not be stressed out. You go straight into the Baltimore airport where you can hop on a bus and be taken to the car rental place and go from there. This year we took the high-speed train out of New Haven and it was a great ride.
If you guys return, two restaurants you should try are, Ananda, which is a farm to table Indian restaurant, and Jimmy’s Famous Seafood (crab cakes). Both have amazing mouthwatering food.
Next time, if you go to Maryland Sheep and Wool, take Route 97, which is the next major road west, and you would have been taking a left into the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds always seems to be surprised with traffic for any event.
Congratulations Ray and I am delighted to have both of you coming to my favourite city . Montreal will welcome you with open arms ,hope to get to see both of you . Also I hope we have no rain. Try smoke meat and bagels , Max and Vincent will take you to the best places I am sure.
This is the third time I’ve run out and bought a bag from somewhere you two have recommended. AND, the second time I’ve run out and bought the exact same bag as Kevin. 😱
Oh the sock machine will be handy in doing swatches for your hand dye wool.oh and good morning guys. Happy knitting and happy mothers to everyone's mums, xxx
HEY YOU GUYS!!! Just finished a three day stash dive. I'm gonna have to trade my scuba gear for a min-sub soon - it's getting pretty deep!. In spite of that, I'm still envious of your new treasures, and the adventurous journeys during which you acquired them. YAY! Let's hear it for the "Let's hear it for the Boys" MAL!
Hey y'all! Great episode - just wanted to mention that Dapple has not been discontinued - in fact, we recently released five new colors!
Hi! Thank you for letting us know, we apologize for the misinformation.
Omg lol that was me who gave you the yarn cozies! I'm so glad that you like them! 🥰
Hi Sara!! Thank you for the yarn cozies, it was great getting to meet you. Hope you enjoyed your weekend at Maryland Sheep & Wool.
Ray, congrats to you for your award. I am very sure that you deserved/earned it. ❤️❤️❤️you guys. Kevin be careful wielding that chainsaw, we don’t want either of you hurt.
Thank you Connie.
Hi Kevin and Ray, Congratulations 🥂on your award Ray. Thanks for sharing the yarn shows and all your purchases. Love both of your jumpers your knitting.
Thank you Jill. We love going to these events, hopefully our recaps inspire others to go if they have never been. Our bank will definitely enjoy the summer break lol.
Hi Kevin and Ray! Another enjoyable podcast!!! Thanks for sharing!Congratulations Nurse Ray! 🎉Can not wait to see a picture of you on the billboard! ! Happy Nurse Week! Kevin, "Your" yarns are so pretty! Great names too! Have a good time in Montreal! Happy Knitting! ❤🧶
Thank you so much Maureen.
OMG, the breaking the bank section was glorious. I have serious yarn envy, but am also filled with inspiration! Thanks!
Thanks Donna, we definitely did some damage, there was so much beautiful yarn there.
Hi Linda! We really love our walks, so happy we started them and have continued to do them.
Again, congratulations on your Erlbacher!!!!! I am super excited. It was really great to hang out with you both. It was a really nice experience to sit down and chat.
Thanks friend, we can’t wait to get it. It was so great seeing you guys and getting a chance to chat.
Love the 2 Swanky yarns together, Kevin! Beautiful!
I adore the stories. I'm like Ray with driving and my husband like you, Kevin. amazing! haha! I love all the catching up. All the best, Kimberly
Thanks so much!! I don’t think I could stop telling my long stories, even if I wanted to lol
Was bummed I couldn't spot you guys in the crowd, but so happy that you made it on a great year for the festival! It was so beautiful out and no trodding through mud like the last 6 years. Great show and loved seeing all of your new purchases! Happy Knitting!
Thank you Shawn, we had a great time. We hope to make it back there again.
Hi Guys, what a fun podcast, I feel like I miss so much living on the West coast. Thank you for taking me along on all your knitting trips. See you soon...
Hi Candee! Hope you are doing well, we definitely have some good shows out this way. We should make a west coast trip some time.
Thank you, Ray, for the snippet of There’s Always Tomorrow from Rudolph!!! It’s my fav 😊Love hearing about all the traveling you’ve both been doing. I’m living vicariously thru you! 😄
Thank you Erin 😀
I love my coffee stitch markers from twin mountain handcrafts! Thanks for keeping me company while I work on my shawl! ❤
Hi friend, They are really cute, glad we got to get them.
We both have drop spindles, it just hasn’t taken off for either of us…yet
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast It's not for everyone...like any craft, you either like it or you don't. Cool that you gave it a try though.
You guys are a party! I would live to just follow along behind you for a fun time! So fun!
Congratulations Ray on your outstanding nursing performance. A special place in my heart for RNs, my daughter is a certified RN in oncology. Have a great week guys! 🙃
Thank you Sharon 😊
Congratulations, Ray, on your nursing award!👏🏼👏🏼 My mom and grandma were both RNs back in the day. And Kevin, I am so happy for your CSM order! I just haven’t been able to justify the expense but I’ve been smitten with them for quite awhile. Lucky you, you can write-off as a business expense when you make sock tubes to sell in your shop! (hint, hint😉) Have a wonderful time in Montreal!
Thank you Sally. We definitely plan on using the CSM for showing off yarn when it is dyed.
OMG…I LOVE THAT ray won an RN award…I cannot remember the last time an award ceremony took place at my hospital…and I’ve worked there for 41 years….congratulations!
Aww thank you so much! You all deserve awards too!! And 41 years?! Wow, that’s so inspiring ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

They are such a great size, definitely our favorite.

Stowestudio
Aww thank you so much! We really enjoy being able to do them and are so glad you are continuing to feel inspired 🥰
Soup mugs!!! They would be great.
The mugs are fantastic, they would be great for soup.
Great to see you at MDSW! Nice haul!
Great seeing you both, sad we didn’t get a picture.
Loved your MDSW recap. So fun 🧶🧶🧶💕💕💕
Thank you Janelle, we had a great time.
That’s so exciting that you are getting a Erlbacher sock knitting machine! My husband ordered me one for my 40th birthday last Saturday. I am counting down the weeks and it has only been 1 so far.
Hi Heather, We are doing the same countdown, can’t wait to get it and start using it.
I’m so excited to hear more about your sock machine!
We are so excited for it 😀
Hello to you two, I am new to group, back to knitting , it had been a major part of my life but I also quilt and at some point, you have to pay more attention to one or the other ..
Congratulations Ray!!!
Made me smile when you were talking about a 6 hour drive.....I drive (at least once/twice a year) 13 hours to see my BFF in Idaho.... piece of cake!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Haven't yet this year.... getting over Donner pass still isn't the best.
Hi Patti! Hope you are doing well. Wow, that is hot, hope you are staying cool.
Always a treat!!!
Thank you Stacy.
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast Glad you're enjoying Dapple! We're still making it! :D
Congrats Ray! And that backdrop area at the entrance (or on a red carpet) is called a “Step and Repeat”.
Thank you, Step and Repeat 😀
Guys, you were 10 minutes from my house. Hope you had a great time at MD sheep and wool. We gave you great weather.
Hi Judith, We had a great time, hopefully we can go back in the future.
Low key excited that Kevin and I are test knitting the same cardi 😊🥳
I’ve really been enjoying it, can’t wait to make some more progress on it.
Thank you for the 9 inch circulars ❤
😂
I LOVE that coffee mug!!!😍
They are our favorites!
Congratulations Ray. Kevin I just cast on So Basic as well. Will be fun to see your progress. Happy Knitting.
Yay, can’t wait to make some progress on that sweater.
Oh i hope you list her at the end! Birdie Parker? That is amazing!!!
You did! I subscribed! Thanks
Thank you!! It was a great trip, the Jacob sheep are so cute.
Happy Nurses Week and Congratulations Ray on both your award and grad school grades and progress. I’m looking forward to seeing your knitting machine guys, and I agree with Ray, Kevin, the yarn he’s using for his socks that you dyed is really nice looking.
Aww thank you so much ❤️❤️
I’m always so excited to see the notification for your podcast.
Thank you for all the kind words and for supports our Etsy shop, we really appreciate it.
Aww thanks 😊
Yay, the boys are back - yippee 😄
We are 😊 Thanks for watching Jill.
I love my mugs from Pawly Studios! I have two. One that says “I knit past my bedtime” and one that has Mando’s helmet with “This is the way”. I need to order another one.
OMG we almost got a mando one too!! Love it
Guys, EZ Pass is life changing. And you pay far less than if you pay cash. Thx for another lovely video visit ❤
We definitely need to get one with all the driving we have been doing,
Hello, I went to the Maryland sheep and wool festival too.
Hi Tara, The train is a great idea, we never thought of that.
It was so great meeting the two of you! Thank you so much for the kind words 🥹 can’t wait to see your shawl!!
It was really great meeting you and seeing all your beautiful yarn.
Awesome!! We’ll definitely try that!! We are beyond excited 😊
Magpie is an awesome store! I discovered it last year on Friday before the show. Got to meet Andrea Mowry! This year, I stuck to yarn.
Hi Mary, It is such a great store, we are so happy we were able to stop there.
The sock machine will be great for making knit samples of your yarn. Have fun with it
Really looking forward to that.
This is the third time I’ve run out and bought a bag from somewhere you two have recommended. AND, the second time I’ve run out and bought the exact same bag as Kevin. 😱
LOL, sorry…🤣
Ray, congratulations on the award and happy Nurse’s Week.
Thank you Angel!
Oh the sock machine will be handy in doing swatches for your hand dye wool.oh and good morning guys. Happy knitting and happy mothers to everyone's mums, xxx
Hi Andrea, That is one of the main reason we purchased it. Hope you had a great Mother’s Day.
Hi Kitten! Hope you are doing well. We always love doing the Let’s Hear it for the Boys.
Cooper Canyon Grill....yummy. glad you enjoyed Gaithersburg!
Yes!! Thank you, that is the restaurant we went too. They had great food and strong drinks lol.
