This is the first electric car which I really like, the shape, design, concept, everything is what a young person would admire. even the doors, this system is sick.
No kidding. Didn't see that coming from lotus of all places. Probably has some new, unique, novel ways to rattle after a week of ownership too haha (Elise owner here)
I'm not a fan of electric cars, much less if they're from Lotus, but I have to admit lately Lotus is doing things right in the design department. This is a beautiful car, despite the issues that are completely understandable in a concept car: the inability to open windows (to get some air while driving or place your order at the drive through) , the very impractical center sittin position (to get a parking ticket or get your food at the same drive through), or the apparent lack of any storage space. Despite all this, very cool machine.
@@Shawnie_sama Because in the past all Lotus models begin with an "E". Esprit, Elise, Evora, Europa, Elan, Elite, Excel, Exige, Evija, etc. You get the picture...
Yeah, that alone would probably scratch them off the list of included features if this concept ever went into production. Dramatic effect the first time viewing it but would get old fast for the owner after a few drives. Takes way too much time just to open and close a door.
This is by far the best electronic technological jewel of the future I have ever drooled over. Yes, I want to live with and drive one of these babies forever. Lotus is committed to building the ultimate best, I thank you for this entry.
It's super cool except for how hard it is to enter and exit as the driver. Everything else is motorized. They should put the driver seat on a sling that moves towards the outside to let the driver enter it with ease. Just a thought.
Perfect (except the front and rear). Now make it a 4000 4x4 drive train :) It already looks like it and it deserves a 500+ km/h status :) Gotta love the central position for the driver with equal visibility on all sides, irregardless of the road rules = left or right driving. Just as it should be for all cars ;) I hope also everyone registers how easy is to get inside and especially exit with those doors opening to the rear :) I mean, that is true design ;)
More like a combination of Lamborghini (general body shape) and McLaren (carbon chassis, lift doors, central driver's position). They added some of their own ideas and electric drive. Overall it came out great, the car looks very nice. I especially like the wheels, which are often just ugly in BEVs, here they are great.

Very cool, for pushing forward what is possible. The doors are kind of ridiculous though, way over complicated with too may moving parts, but other that that it seems like a great concept to build on.
@@Tiber234 How do the doors open if there's a rollover? Yeah, those doors will never make it past regulation. This whole concept is meant to hype the brand. Where are the seat belts/ harness? Airbags? People think it's "cool," but real car guys get frustrated by concepts that make false promises.
Good gravy! If I was attempting to get away from someone trying to rob or carjack me I'd be dead because of how long it takes for the doors to open & close.
