8:00 Note Ken that this is the best way to buy as its Max Retail Price. Its standard practice in India. No one can just sell at higher price than that. The way you see other countries is actually allows them to hike or lower price by own tags, where customer may not know actual MRP. Hence this is best way and practice.

Ken, for the prices, unless a big supermarket chain that gives discounts, mostly other stores sell at MRP(Maximum retail price)which is set at product level and is the same for each product irrespective of where you purchase from. This is a little different from the USA or other Western Nations where stores have the power to sell at the price they want to sell at.

Hi ken ... It's great to watch your videos.. as I am from India my thought is Indian people like to blow horns as for too much traffic and crowds.. as everyone is in a hurry to reach their destination...

It is mandatory by Govt of India to have MRP (Maximum Retail Price) on all the products Packets. So across India products costs are consistent. So, in most large supermarkets, they will display price.. Small supermarkets or shops don't display price as it is the same price listed behind. In some case, large supermarket give further discounts on MRP

8:02 That's because India follow a MRP culture, that's Maximum retail price, unlike western countries. Western countries malls might manipulate prices. For ex, I was in UK, and normally used to get the same product at different prices in different markets, and believe me, the difference is huge

Bargaining is 100% a part of the culture in the west also. It just happens for bigger items. You want to buy a car, a house, you can bet there is bargaining. In the US you can even negotiate your medical bill. And for even bigger things, it is called 'negotiating' and there are fancy-shmancy courses on it taught in exorbitantly priced business schools.
