As a Malaysian, grow up with all the diversity surround us ever since childhood just made me see each other as another human being, not a different race. When meeting friends or colleagues from different races, we talk and chat like we were one. We are one. Unity. That's the beauty and unique of being Malaysian.
Not different race? Yeah malaysians have superiority complex problem among SEA people. Not different? You are coz you don't cook and eat pork. You are different 😂
I'm from Sri Lanka, Malaysia is our family holiday destination for the past 20 years and I'm a Formula 1 fanatic , watched practically every race till they stopped in 2017. Its our home away from home and our top shopping destination. Haven't been there since COVID.
I am not from Malaysia but I have visited Malaysia twice, first Trip KL and second trip Penang... I loved both cities and as u said rightly it's a beautiful country with diversified culture, religion, food and tradition coming from all 3 , malay, Chinese and Indian
Oh wow, another awesome video, Ken. It's wonderful of you to show the various types of food/drinks/desserts from the 3 major main races of Malaysia to the world. We, Malaysians, truly appreciate your efforts and hard work for producing such excellent content. "Terima kasih", "Xie xie" "Nandri" Ken. Cheers again, Ken for this lovely video. P.S : Great that you can still converse in the Malay Language. Well done, Ken !!
I am from Singapore and have friends and relatives in KL. All the foods in KL are delicious because Malaysians are very picky with food. Only the stall with the delicious foods would survive. This video really makes me want to visit KL soon and meet my Malay friends from TTDI. The foods from the 3 cultures cannot be compared because they are very different. Perhaps you can compare the Chinese foods from popular cities such as KL, Ipoh and Penang. Then compare the Malay foods from KL, Kedah and Kelantan. Then compare the Indian foods from KL, Sg Siput and Kluang. Perhaps also compare the Chinese, Malay and Indian foods with those in Singapore Little India, China town and Marine Parade. I like the fried Cempedak definitely, Nasi Lemak and Lemang and for Indian dish I like the goat soup and for Chinese foods many.
Im Malaysian with many friends and relatives in Singapore. i have also lived in Singapore for a short time in the late 90s. to be fair, there is very good food to be found in Singapore as well and they are different to what we have here and in a good way. To me, Singapore and Malaysia, we are practically the same people with the same cultures and tastes for food. We have a shared history as well and should always continue to stay as close friends, even family.
Jackfruit is "Nangka" and Chempedak is "Chempedak". They look almost similar, but taste really different. You need to try the Fried Chempedak someday. It tasted soooo damn good!

Ken, for a German doing a English video is remarkable and awesome. I enjoy watching your video about Malaysia. "Malaysia is a hidden gem" with its multi racial society and its rich cultural diversity. English is widely spoken everyway due to its English colonial past. We have busy and vibrant cities day & night. They have its rich source of food and beverage , the smell that come to the nose in different area you visited. I noticed your success is because you are humble from the questions you asked and that is where they also respond favorable as the can understand you.
And I love the way you setting the base comparison: rice, chicken, dessert, tea. Pure 😌 for standards. Happy birthday and welcome back to KL, this city has been missing your presence.

Terrific video. I've always found the food far more delicious in Malaysia than the same versions in Singapore. What's more, it is so much cheaper to boot!
For someone who spent more than a year travelling all around Malaysia: exploring places many malaysians never been and tasted hundreds of local cuisines, Ken's critics and comments about local food are considered valid and legit. So to shop owners, take those critics for improvement.
