Thank you! I tried to get as close as possible without stepping onto the track. However, the lanes were very wide, so it made it a little more challenging! 😊
I was really happy to see you again this year! I'm happy that my javelin and mid were shown in the running video 👍 Thank you so much 😊 Let's definitely radio control ''ラジコン’’together again!😊
Oh it is! 😊 That's what's so appealing. There's no race pressure. Everyone is there to have a good time. The location, atmosphere, food and laid back vibe are fantastic. 👍
My gold/carbon Javelin nearing completion. I sent all the parts out for anodising in the same gold shade. It's looking trick! Kyosho quality second to none .. you've spent a lot of my money, David! Quote from one of your vintage series videos "get the one you like, you won't be disappointed. But I guarantee it won't be your last". Not wrong, for the better. Great videos - thanks :)
Tons of great kits out there! The start of the race had me giggling with the pile-up right from the start! That is a lot of cars to be on the track at one time!! LOL! Glad to hear you had a great time there. I am sure it was very easy to get distracted by everything!
Looks a great event, its a shame the weather spoiled the rest of it, but as my club races on grass. I know only to well the pain of the rain. Some great action shots 👌 i need to learn how to film like for my video’s when im at the big events.
What a fantastic collection of high quality! Not a fan of grass races, as it places such a strain on the motor and ESC combo's. Obviously stacks of drivers who race these tracks take this into consideration when gearing. Did I see RC10s here at a Kyosho Meet lol....??? But as you said there was a variety of vintage on show..
Thank you! The grass was freshly cut before the event and the cars didn't seem to have much trouble running on it. A proper dirt track would be ideal, but the location and scenery more than make up for it. The event is open to any off-road RC, regardless of manufacturer. There were several (very quick) RC10's on track, plus a couple of Schumachers. I ran my Yokomo 834B. 😁
The Vintage Meet isn't a competition or a race. It's purely a get together of vintage buggy enthusiasts.👍 There is free running time in the morning, a parade run, BBQ/curry and in the afternoon a short elimination race. There is a "Vintage of the Year" competition with an award going to the best vintage buggy on display. For running there are no restrictions on buggies, motors, power sources. Bring and run whatever you want! 😊
Cool video, I was wondering what you may know about Kyosho motors. I went on an uninformed buying spree. I purchased a fazer mk2 build kit and got a G14L stock motor because I saw it was the one they supply in the pre built fazers. I also have a G27 single stock and a LeMans 490. What applications are these motors good for? And, are there any Kyosho motors you would recommend?
The G14L and G27 are both sealed motors that cannot be rebuilt. The G14L is also a 550 sized motor (it's longer than a normal 540). It has quite a bit of torque and the built-in cooling fans are a nice touch. It goes well in my Fazer Rally. With the chassis cover on, cooling can be an issue and there is little room for a fan. Both motors are pretty cheap to buy and offer good cost/performance. The Le Mans 490 is a great motor. I have around 10 of them. For me they're perfect for use in the 2wd buggies. Don't let the 30T put you off. While they don't put out the RPMs, they do have plenty of torque. I find they do well with the Scorpion series' 6.9:1 gearing. They are rebuildable if needed and they look good too.
Nice, I love the MTs
… and then… the Clodbuster cruises by…. Lol😅 Love it!!!
What a wonderful event! No race pressure; just all about the beautiful machines. Great footage as ever! 👍
Thank you!
Wow! Thanks for sharing.
And I thank you for taking the time to to watch and comment. 😊
Blast from the past 😀. Some awesome looking machines.
Really fantastic close up camera work 👏
Thank you! I tried to get as close as possible without stepping onto the track. However, the lanes were very wide, so it made it a little more challenging! 😊
Thank you for this video, it’s a real pleasure to see all these beautiful cars from my youth🥰
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Very cool collection of classics
Very nice meet David with some great looking rc!🙂👍
Thanks 👍
Great wide varieties of vintage buggy👍
Thanks 👍
What an awesome event!!!

Some brilliant cars there - seems like a great vibe

What a great event. Love the grass track and the mud was fun to watch also.
Thanks 👍
It's on again!s event. Thank you for sharing this with us over here in Australia David.
My pleasure! ☺️

Thank you for the kind words. Very much appreciated! ☺️ Your gold/carbon Javelin will look amazing when done. 😎 👍

I think we ended up doing 3 takes on the parade run as it's surprisingly hard to get everyone to move in unison behind a camera car/camera man! 😁
0:03 Grasshopper being picked on 😆
😁 It's surprisingly difficult to get 50+ machines to drive slowly around the track in unison! 🤣
The Tomahawk bodies with the Ultima rear wing looks great. So many well presented models, little wonder you got carried away, I would have as well.
It's amazing to see what some people have come up with in terms of modifications! 😎 I'm always blown away by the sheer variety of machines on show. 👍

Thank you! It was a shame it rained in the afternoon, but on the bright side we got to run for most of the morning. 😊
ahhhh so envy, i wish i can join!! also, other brand are allowed eh? as long as its vintage?
The event is open to any RC buggy regardless of manufacturer. In fact there were quite a few modern machines and even a few monster trucks! 😊

Hi. What are the competition rules? Silver can motors? Limits on the batteries? Do they combine classes? Great video!

What was the date of this event? Do you know when it will be held next year? I would like to try and attend...
It is usually held on the weekend following the Tokyo Hobby Show. Dates for next year have not been announced.
@@KaiCityRCthank you for the information. I really enjoy visiting Japan and since I’m a collector this looks like a fun event to try and attend.
