I really enjoyed watching this video and I appreciated your personal and honest opinions about his music. Squarepusher is such a talented artist which such a wide range of work, that I wasn't surprised that my #1 favorite wasn't even mentioned. Hearing what other people like and why, gives me further insight into the impact of an artist, I'm going to re-listen to some of the ones that you mentioned, and then make a top 25 of my own. Thanks for putting this together! You mentioned at one point, how you had one of the songs almost entirely memorized. I think with music as complicated, and initially daunting as Squarepusher's, that the process of becoming familiar with it through repeated listens is what binds us to it, and makes us love it. Initially, its a challenge, but then when you actually know where the song is going, or what the incredibly complex beat is right down do each hit, you feel a sense of accomplishment, as well as being treated to an experience more involved that other, much simpler music. I believe that a lot of my favorite music are songs which I initially don't like, because they are unfamiliar or challenging, but that I then appreciate more for their uniqueness after hearing more. Squarepusher's discography, and my love of it, definitely is a testament to that.

I had to de-activite my "hide youtube comments" just for this video, I couldn't resist to discuss this topic for this excellent excellent fellow. If I had to make a top 10 I'd have a brain meltdown. One thing for sure though is I KNOW "Beep Street" would be #1 with no doubt whatsoever. This track is one of the greatest - of all time in my opinion - in the whole world. It's like from another,.. no.. forget I can't describe my thoughts for the life of me, but this is the shit. I'd have a HARD time not putting both "poetry" tracks in there too, but other than that I just couldn't pick singles out, way too much good stuff in his discography. I wonder if he's coming out with anything new soon? It's some time ago he had his SHOBALEADER tour right? One can hope. Anyways thanks for the entertaining video! And thank you for igniting my desire to listen deeply to squarepusher for the 11th hundred time! So rarely I see videoes like these about guys like Tom.

Hello my friend, greetings from sunny Spain!. Been listening to electronic music since 1992 -I'm 42 years old already- and came across your channel some few weeks ago. I would ask you to review some Autechre stuff, theyre the best band I've ever heard and trust me I've heard a LOT. Also, please do something on purist techno as Basic Channel / Chain Reaction, Downwards, Jeff Mills, Oscar Mulero... It seems not to be your cup of tea but for me techno is the deepest and purest expression of spiritual electronics. Anyway thanks for your vides.
Cruza El Viento Yeah, given his love of Squarepusher, I’d think he’d be into Autechre too, or at least their first few albums (which admittedly are my favorites of his, simply bc I haven’t given his more complex discography the attention it needs to be absorbed, particularly Elseque release, and their newest “album” from this year, which I’ve yet to listen to). That said, yeah, they’re up there in the most mind-blowing sound sculptors that I’ve ever heard. It’s actually insane how good their work is, however impenetrable a lot of it may be for most folks. I’m sure that I could listen to all of their music for the rest of my life, and ALWAYS find something new in the mix. ✌🏼

His remix of DJ Food’s “Scratch Yer Head” deserves mention. Even though it is not his track, he remixed it so well that it’s nothing like the original but absolutely a Squarepusher track. He made it his own & it’s arguably better than the original.
No order, but 10 tracks I particularly like (although most of mine would probably be from Ultravisitor, so I limited it 3 from there): Ultravisitor Iambic 9 Poetry Circlewave Beep Street My Sound Go! Spastic I Wish You Could Talk 4001 Energy Wizard Kontenjaz

Funnily enough, Tetra-Sync is actually a pretty life defining track for me I think it was one of the first songs I'd heard from him and most likely one of the first breakbeat based songs I ever heard, it pretty much brought me into electronic music as a whole.
1. Papalon 2. Planetarium 3. Iambic 5 Poetry 4. North Circular 5. Theme From Goodbye Renaldo 6. Sarcacid Part 1 7. Iambic 9 Poetry 8. Rotate Electrolyte 9. The Exploding Psychology 10. Male Pill Part 5 The top 3 are no brainers, but the rest were fairly difficult to place.

Cooper's world is the same track which got me into Squarepusher.
I’d have rated Journey to Reedham and Tomorrows People higher but that’s me not you.
Mine is full rinse
Have never even hesrd the nr 1 pick. Probably because its on a mini album
Where's planetarium?!
My favourite is Do You Know Squarepusher's title track. Its a shame its his worst album by far. The first time I sat to listen to it all the way through I was so utterly disappointed with the whole thing.
You should do what you did with David Guetta on the top 10’s and do best and worst with Calvin Harris
I strongly urge you to listen to Port Rhombus!
I have and it is very good, missed the cut for the list tho because too much competition
