The singer of Sabaton, Joakim Brodén, made a song and video with italian fun metallers Nanowar of Steel, who you also reacted to twice before, called "Pasadena 1994". It is about a totally different "battle", but one that was very important to many Italians. Maybe you would like to look at that one as well? Great reactions!
G’day grumpy old men , sure you’ve heard it a million times but the young punters out there probably haven’t , Steve Harley & Cockney Rebels ‘Make me Smile’ does make you smile , every time you hear it .. what a song , what a great sound. Johno from Queensland 👊
I love Sabaton, so any track of theirs is a good track. However, score wise for this performance I probably sit more with Alex than George on this one. It's still a banger though. For anyone who lives under a rock and doesn't know, Sabaton has its own history channel which gives deeper understanding of the battles or themes of all of their songs. It's fascinating and is worth a look, even if you only have a passing interest in the band, or the themes they sing about. Alex, I have picked up on how some of their live performances are shot from behind. I reckon you are right though; I think it's so they can flog their DVDs and Blu Rays, which is perfectly understandable, it's so hard for a band to make a dollar out of a big tour now. For this reason, being able to promote their songs on RUclips, while saving the amazing video footage for paying punters makes perfect commercial sense. Another anomaly with Sabaton is that they seem to underutilize Tommy Johansson (one of their guitarists). Tommy has his own RUclips channel where he releases covers that he records at an impressive frequency, almost one a week. Tommy is a supremely talented instrumentalist and a very good singer. It's kind of strange that Sabaton don't use his skills more to diversify their sound a little bit, as the most common knock on Sabaton is that their songs are a little one dimensional. Personally, I don't agree with that, but if you read the comments on their videos on RUclips, there is a cohort that feels that way. Anyway, Long-winded Len is over and out.
That's stage crew.. not a dummy 🤣 This is the title track of the Great War album, so it's basically an intro to the rest of the album that is about specific stories.
On Aurora... Since you're a tad fans,HAIK is a must. HAIK is a show from the norwegian broadcaster NRK. An hommage to Aurora. Should be a special since it is about 45 minutes long. Came out a while back,so lot of songs to react to from after that show. And the chorist I believe is her sister...
So that muscle you talked about... In certain martial arts (which will here remain nameless), you train that muscle to engage through deep full upper body breathing and eventually are able to pull all of the equipment inside. Thought you might like that tidbit. If you really push I might tell you the nature of that training. I equate the Roman Empire with Western expansionist policies that assume we are so much better than everyone else. But that is a basic human thing the Romans happened to apply better than anyone. Good song. Great songwriting does not have to be subtle. Sometimes the subject matter and the medium don't demand it.
I enjoy Sabaton as an event attending the theatre. I would not have an urge to purchase an album of their music. Would be interesting what the show would be with out the special effects
I saw Sabaton at the Ryman in Nashville (capacity less than 2500) and their show was fantastic, lots of fan interaction, great music, definitely the best concert I have ever attended. No special effects, just the band, the crowd, and the music. Obviously you are more interested in the spectacle than the music. My advice is you should stick to Taylor Swift.
@@alancarter41 I never said anything negative. Based on the videos I have only heard them live. Enjoyed watching them live. My question was would the music stand up on its own. According to you it did at a concert you attended their music works without the special effects would. I’ll take you word for it The Taylor Swift commit/reference was out of left field
Thanks for the update. My only reference I have had have been videos. Was interested in how they presented without the affects. If there is a live video less the effect please send me a link or asked the Thamesmen if they could put something together
Gosh, at the beginning when Alex started talking about "Mango & Brown," I wondered if you guys were going to get into a discussion about television detective series' or something like that, lol! (Thankfully my cremaster muscle did not respond to this, lol.) Anyway, regarding the scoring, I agree that it is a good song, but I also agree with George that the single camera from well behind the stage does not give a good impression at all. I'd probably give the song alone a 7.5, but the horrible video takes it down to a 6.5 in my book. Cheers!
Just curious if you would look into a week each for two great female artist I have never heard on your station Janis Joplin and Linda Ronstadt two of the greatest song interpreters of all time right up there with Carol King
Sorry guys, but you talk a bit too much. Can you please insert a mark when the reaction starts? I saw that you also have reacted to Metali with Babymetal, cool .... but it is 24 minutes long. No, I think ill skip it.
@@mikeschenk4730 Ahhhh .. I actually think the guys are nice and fun. I just thought it was a bit toooooooo loooooooong this time, and when checking another one it was the same kind of length.
