Played glc for the first time a few weeks ago and I must say I'm absolutely hooked on the format. It's such a nice break from not only standard format, but it's also super duper fun to express your creativity with all the different decks you can make. Cannot recommend those who haven't already to get in to the format and have fun with it.
Hope this video gets enough views to warrant more like this, really enjoyed it and you made it easy to follow with the effects in play and what the players were digging for. That psychic deck looks like it can be nasty if it draws right
We're going to start gym leader challenge at our local card shop and I'm looking for more decklists to consider. I need to build three decks. One for myself, my son, and my daughter and while I already know about the GLC website lists, I'd like to see what some other people are playing!
This channel and GLC as a whole has inspired me to start getting into trying my hand at TCG content. SUPER excited for the future of this format, and I'm hoping it becomes an officially supported thing, it's just SO much nicer than Standard IMO.
newb question: considering you play every card as a one off: How many attackers you should play in your deck? I mean looking at the decklist of most decks... it feels that if your main attacker is gone your game is basically over
That’s just not true! You have hisuian heavy ball which can get cards out of the prizes and many cards like rescue stretcher which can recover Pokemon when they get knocked out. Most GLC decks play between 10-20 Pokemon.
Formats like Standard often build decks with just one main attacker (e.g. Mew VMAX) and just play multiple copies and attack with all of them. But because GLC is a singleton format, you have to explore multiple attackers in your type and ways to recover your most powerful ones. I would say my average GLC deck has 5 good attackers and 2 Pokémon recovery items.
I enjoy post-commentary matches, would rather watch those than the dragged-out live commentary ones (even on ptcgo), if it's worth the production time investment.

😝😝😝 I do so fun control 😈😈😈
Your production quality combined with your passion creates fantastic content. I hope both this content and the GLC format as a whole continue to grow.
Love this! Definitely need more tabletop gameplay, excellently commentated :)

Tabletop stuff is just great, you get to see games that don’t just give you ideas for decks but also strategy for them. Great video Andrew.
Your tabletop videos are awesome. Especially when you do GLC or unusual formats/older metas. I would love to see more!
Would love to get deck lists please.
This is the only non-traditional Pokémon format I genuinely love.

Wanting to get into GLC and get my friends into it as well, I would absolutely love the decklist for both dexks so I can build them and teach them!

@@TrickyGym i didn't want to be rude. :-) I'm not a heavy pokemon tcg player (mostly playing with old decks) and looking into this format

Thanks for the feedback. These are my favorite to produce but also the most time consuming.
Guy on the right can't sit still to save his life
I know this is a sour question, but i will ask again tomorrow on your stream, but if pokemon tcgo goes perma dead whats the plan for you?
