I have the M440i and it’s huge fun and plenty for what you can do legally on the public road… but as he said I’m always lusting for that M4 and wish I had that extra cash to get it but hey let’s enjoy what we have
I’m renting an M340i Touring this week, what a car, crazy fast for public roads, super comfortable, well balanced, could never have an Audi ou Merc. But would maybe consider the M340d for the extra range at a 0,1s sacrifice in the 0-60. And an actual sports car for the weekend, would be the perfect combo.
I owned a 335d Touring (2014) and that was the best car I've ever had. 4.2 seconds to 60 40+mpg, load carrying, quick, etc. 4WD, you name it. God, I miss that car!! 🙂
I used to have one as well and DMS remapped it 820nm/400 hp and it was a weapon! Poor ride on runflats and had a few electrical issues with it but very good car! 👍🙂

What you're explaining at about 5:30 minutes into the video, it's the M factor. It is the soul that gives BMW's M cars the little edge! I've actually come to like this new design of the kidney grill, it looks rather cool now :)
I wish the grill was something that appealed to me because a new manual trans m3 is otherwise soooo attractive. I have a 2002 330cic that might be upgraded. But it has to look great (to me).
This is one of the nicest Touring cars I’ve ever seen. Everything is so proportional. Everything fits so well. It looks so toight, almost as if it was born to be this.
It's a great and way overdue move by BMW to finally release M3 Touring! Though I'd still rather sacrifice track capabilities in favor of that extra bit of additional comfort Alpina B3 Touring offers.
A friend of mine works for BMW and he took me for a ride 2 weeks before it got unveiled at Goodwood and I think the way this thing handles is absolutely stunning. I thinks it drives way better than a RS4 for example. Edit after watching the whole video: I totally agree with Matt 😅
Wait. Do you own an F80? Or just road in one and now have an opinion. A F80 base with a $500 tune destroys the top of the line G80. That is a shame. For me F80 all day over the g80 by looks alone
@@CHEDDARANDWAFFLES driven a few F80 M3/M4s when I was working at dealerships. I did a photoshoot with a G80 one time and owner gave me the keys and I instantly preferred it, feels smoother and refined. don't care about tunes lol also I can see all your comments on M3 videos about it being ugly lol

The netting thing that Mat took out the boot of the car can be fitted to the back of the rear seat when you have the folded down, so you can put a protective net between the cargo and the back of the carbon seats. Pretty standard feature on the Touring.
I''m sick of the SUV box fad. Got an estate . Bought it because the Reviewer who was Irish said you could get 10 dead bodies in the back !!. (ex IRA perhaps ?) It's a Skoda Superb Exec estate and at a push you can get 11 in the back 😆😆.

@@markcampbell2491 RS6 fun factor is 2, if you have rating of 1 to 10. The heavy front makes it difficult to turn into corners. I haven't driven the last gen but if its anything like the earlier RS4 or RS6, its ultimate boredom. Great for gliding on the Autobahn but on some curvy mountain roads the M-cars are far superior.
I miss the simple days of my silver-grey Renault 18 estate - of which strangely I am reminded of (I think we got it for around 1000 pounds at the time - in the early 90s).. that car did everything I needed as a student (apart from acceleration) - with enough room to sleep in the back with the seats folded, many trips between the UK and France, 1000s of miles camping trips across Europe - a truly practical GT of its time.
Looks amazing and as for it not having a dual clutch gearbox that’s because they’re not as reliable and long lasting as the old school/ new school torque vectoring boxes
They are unless you're a larger frame, having spent most of my life playing leg-growing sports, the centre carbon cutout really restricts thigh space, otherwise they're exceptional
10:12 Below the load cover that is! But let's not forget you can take that out and then you have a much taller space to work with plus you can fold the seats to down for even more space. Man I love station wagons...

This is the ideal wagon for the states. 4 wheel drive check, nice breaks check, solid engine power check, roomie interior check. Between this and the RS4 and the RS6, it's nice to see that German Automakers haven't forgotten how to make a sporting yet somewhat family ride more sport. The suv or the crossover seems like it would be more of the wonky everyday driver. BMW and Audi keeping sporting fun alive with their makes.
I will own one of these, my ultimate dream family car! M3 has always been a dream car and now in the estate it brings family practically into my corner for thr war with the wife 😂

My daily driver is a BMW F31 and can confirm, the expanded trunk with the rear seats down is completely "sleepable." This new Touring *is* my perfect car. Hey, BMW, bring this to the states!

It does come rear wheel drive it has and option on the computer too change too rear wheel drive and you can change the traction control in the rear for optimum drifts

I own a BMW x3 330i and I use Blinkers perfectly (right to turn left and left to turn right)
