I was afraid he'd gotten run over by a bus. I Started listening in 2016🤔 seems like forever ago. But lately, (for reasons yet to be explained) I keep hearing IT'S FRIDAY FOOL, AND YOU NEED THIS TOOL!!🙄😆😅🤣😂
Just in time... We used a few on my last Pro street build....Really want this build to Top that!! As far as prices on tools that Improve on all aspects of a job ...Its only pricey if you keep doing it the same old way !!! Any tool or materials that benefit a better outcome are usually $$$ WELL SPENT. Thx for the Info...how do you say that again......" Deutsch "🤣 BTW thx for the link😉
Darn it! I just bought a high dollar 2 jaw version last year. It has 4 interchangeable jaws so you can use it on old school crimps or barrel crimps or deutch connectors or even pcm pins. But I sure like that 4 jaw unit and those solid pins. Hmmmmmmm.
Been about 6 to 7 years since I last worked with these making wiring harnesses, but they were the best I've worked with for automotive, mining, and construction equipment. Also some nice CAT specific line items too. Definitely don't cheap out if you're buying the crimping tool, they are absolutely worth their hefty price- once crimped on the right setting, they are rock solid. Probably the best part of this, is that if you upgrade your harness and want to add a wire or two extra, then you just get a connecting plug the next size or so up, take the pins out of the smaller connector and add them straight in. Literally plug & play! Re-pinning is super easy too. They are already on my christmas project list for this year!
Mr. Forums, I love ya, but this explanation kinda sucked. These connectors are ABSOLUTELY awesome. You missed the part about how easily they pin and un pin. You can expand a project (like adding more lights to a rack on your off road rig) by unpinning a 4-pin connector and upping to a six. They're also mercifully forgiving to anyone who makes a wiring mistake because of how easy one can unpin and repin. The "back" sides of the connectors are numbered so you can more easily get your wires to match up. Lastly, due to the way these things lend themselves to builders, the DIY crowd has made all kinda of compliant additions to the DT connector platform. These things are AWESOME!
I’ve been using open barrel pins because I didn’t want to spend the money on a DMC crimper, I’ll definitely look into this kit! Keep up the awesome videos!
i love these tool episodes. something tangentially related. i'd like to know who makes the narrowest impact swivel impact socket for getting in tight spaces. anyone here know ones to consider?
I wish I had an answer because I have the same question. I own snap on and grey pneumatic. Between the two I do prefer snap on. Have not tried any others really
Missed the Friday tool videos! These types of terminations are pretty standard in aviation worldwide. Use them all the time at work and they’re excellent! We get all our crimpers and dies from Daniels Manufacturing.
So, are these ODB compliant connectors? Didn't get a close up. W/ so many custom cars running computer controlled drivetrains, using anything other than OEM type, ODB compliant connectors is foolish. Once you get use to their superior function & reliability, it's hard to go back to old crimp style. I invested in a hydraulic crimper quite some time ago, more because after 50+ yrs of wrenching, construction & metal fab, it was agony to crimp wires. It isn't the actual sqeeze, that's painless, it's when you let up on the crimpers... yikes! Feels like an electrified hot poker in your wrist. (Give you young guys something to look forward to. LOL) Got a 12 ton crimper for
The delivery of these 'It's Friday Fool' episodes always makes me laugh...Practical advice surrounded by a little bit of humour one of the best ways to getany message across..meanwhile I will continue to swear at my Volkswagen connectors...They may be German...but they're NOT Deutsch...
That’s a cool tool and connector. I use Delphi connectors. Same idea. Crimp the pin to the wire and insert to the connector. Plus it’s easier to pronounce.😂 ✌️😎
I work on buses we have used these for years. Had weather pack on older buses band still on newer buses. I like the weather packs for quick easy pro look. Deutsch, German engineering, over engineered but it looks good.. But the Deutsche you can make a multiple wire harness that doesn't take a lot of space
😂😂😂😂 It's Friday Fool.... Lawd I've missed these episodes!

YAS ITS BACK
TGIF Fool! Great timing as I was just looking into this type of connector. Thanks for posting this!
Great video, shame about the background music!!
Glad these are back! Killer way to start Fripays 😂
The price on that iWiss crimper is fantastic. I picked up an actual Deutsch crimper for a lot more than that one.
Been a MINUTE! Welcome back.
Just bought a kit last week and already used it, best stuff ever
Great video, would a ferrell crimper work for the Deutsch pins? Looks like it works exactly the same. If so, then I only need the connectors lol

It's the only connecters i use on my boats.
Saw a kit on Temu. Yeah I know, but whole kit with tool was around $50 🤷🏼♂️
if you shop diligently TEMU can be a great place.

Miss the old intro!
Deutsch connectors are great. I love that you can easily repin the wires between different connectors if you decide you need to add a few extra wires.
Are you just assuming the gender of those connectors?!?! How dare you! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video
Absolute Game Changer!!
Well worth the investment been using these for yeara
Now you are listening to my conversations also 😅
