Another amazing video Daz. It’s really good to see Patong going ok, considering the year we just had. I believe tourism in Thailand will improve heaps next year. I miss all the street food especially grilled corn, chicken and banana rotti etc. I’m missing Thailand big time and looking forward to my next visit, catching up you and the family. Enjoyed your video, lots of info. Your hotel looked nice. The food looked great. I can not believe how they drive their bikes right up to the food stalls. It must take awhile to get used to walking around without getting run over, but love watching how it really is. Thank you and take care.

Stayed there in 2019 October on Surin Beach resort for 10 days,Surin beach one of my favourite beaches in Thailand due to cleanliness.Great video made me remember past.People from Northeast really likes,my fiancee likes too.Yes sad to see situation,hope it would improve over there in South.
I wish I was there now. It has been exactly 3 years since I was there. I miss the authentic Thai food. The Thai food here in the states are not the best. I can't wait to go back to Thailand, especially Phuket. Would definitely like to visit your home town in Krabi which I didn't have time to visit when I was there. Once the pandemic is over, I know the United States will be the last to enter Thailand.

Nice vid darren and crew!! Nice beach areas without da crowds. Except if in the mood to people watch. Aorn picked the best best grilled chicken there, nice and *charred !! Grilled corn 🌽 i can't remember the last time I had it 😌 I do remember you at that strip of vendors by the roadside, halal like kosher, and especially cooked to order is a big plus, individuality. Thanks for thst restaurant scene just before the end, it looked very nice. Here in the states small restaurants are getting put over the barrel one could say. Corporate dictates and there are multiple law suits ongoing. The point for me is no buffets are even available. I do most of my own cooking now. Occasional "pizza" is delivered. Many Americans donot cook, so the restaurant and pubs were there cook and server you know. Now, this event is making Walmart richer, most forced to go there or other Big Box Stores. Basically the US events for food. That pork spoon tender look great, all meat should be like that i think. No doubt you ended the trip with music lights and tights Aaaa😄 Occasional brew or drink is good for the heart i believe. And again mate, thanks very much something to look forward to during the month, its real,🎉and friendly. Be safe

Greetings Darren, love the video. Was wondering how the schooling system works in Thailand? We're interested in immigrating from UK, but have a little one who is 2 yrs old, so schooling is a key factor.

Hi PE, The schooling system has many choices in Thailand. There are Thai schools, both private and public, where they primarily teach in the Thai language. Some of those schools have English Programs where children learn most subjects in both English and Thai.
There are also private international schools where an international curriculum is used and the children learn primarily in English.

Hi Darren, I lived in Patong Beach back in 2004 for almost a year. I was surprised to see so many Muslim people and you mentioned a lot of the food is halai. I was wondering are the people Thai? Or from Malaysia?
Not a problem just curious. I hope in about a year or two to move back to Thailand or some part of east Asia. I am a Sunomi survivor and sure there have been a lot of changes since I lived in Patong. Be well and thanks for the video. 😁
Yes, they are Thai people, but often their ancestry is from other countries. There have been many waves of Muslim immigration to Thailand, and from many areas of the world. The earliest is believed to have been Muslim Arab traders who settled in Thailand during the Sukhothai period (1238-1438). In recent times (the Rattanakosin period, 1782 to present), Bengali, Cham, Indonesian, Indian, Iranian, Pakistani and Malay Muslim immigrants have come to Thailand, but the majority of Muslims in Thailand have Malay ancestry.
