I think this has been helpful. The issues I'm having with the little MJX Lancia is pushing me in this direction! A 1/10 scale version on this chassis would be 'problem solved' 😁👍
Hi there Dom, a great summary of the XV-01 chassis. I’m looking forward to completing my XV-01 chassis build, hopefully getting it out in time for some slippery icy conditions for some running 😮. Test that front motor, belt driven, 4WD system. Great fun seeing you slinging int around 😊take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😁
@@rc-dom-uk Yeah, they hadn't improved so much when they released the VX-02 in the perormance. Mark and Rob compared both, I think so. I'm not so confirm withmhaving the motor and the main gears in the front chrash zone, but the weight distribution seems to be better. I have to admit that a converted CC-01 is in my planes, but I'm still suckig informations😉
Thanks Mark . I might do. Putting this out as a tester. I’m sorting of aiming them at the beginner or me a few years ago when I didn’t really understand the tech stuff well and just wanted basic info . Silly stuff like … will my batteries fit? Does it go well off-road , etc. Thanks for the feedback mate . Always appreciated 😊👍 Sorry I forgot about todays meet up but tbh I’ve had a stinking cold so I don’t expect you want that 😂👍
Thanks buddy. That’s great . I’m just testing the water with this video really . And my technical knowledge isn’t that great but I thought it might be useful for beginners who perhaps need a simple guide . I really do think this is in terms of bang for buck / reliability and fun one of the best rc out there 👍😊 Thanks for your feedback here. Much appreciated 😊👍
Good question. I know the mk 1 doesn’t and the tamiya escort mk 2 body is to small . Honestly not sure . But email L and L and they are very helpful as I’ve asked similar questions myself buddy 😊👍Sorry I can’t help more .
Hey great overview of this lovely chassis Dom. I like the trancy sound track. Do you have to have a subscription to that site to use their music in your vids?
I would like more ground clearance on my XV-01. I noticed in your video you have the longer bottom shock mounts installed - did you have to cut out some of the chassis for the steering arms? Great video as always, cheers!
Thanks buddy. No cutting . Just added the long tie Rod ends to the shocks . No problems at all . I actually built it from day one this way as I needed clearance. You can also use the different holes to screw the bottom of the shocks in as well to increase clearance. This seems to me to all be within the tolerance of the kit . 😊👍
@@rc-dom-uk After adding the long shock ends at full droop the edges of the steering rod ends were hitting the chassis. Had to trim them down and turn the right-side turnbuckle around so it didn't hit either. Also cut small grooves in the chassis and now everything moves freely. So much happier with the increased clearance and I don't feel the chassis is compromised in any way. Rally on!
Cool . I have it stock . So stock tamiya 540 motor . Note : you will need longer wires to reach the esc with the XV01. Tamiya tbl02 esc . Kyosho synchro radio set . And finally a slim / short steering servo by savox . 👍
Not sure . Definitely worth a google . You can get extensions. But I’d just eBay XV01 stock motor or something like that. The Novafox and wild one motors also use long wires so I think they would work to 👍
Thanks Addam . I love it and think you would enjoy it . And the build to as it’s different from the standard tt02 style builds . It really is capable and would do well on your track with the high ride height 👍
Ooooh the Audi, Delta and old Evo shell 😍😍,very realistic handling by the looks of it 🙌
Great rally chassis . Captures the feeling well. Thankyou for watching buddy . 😊👍
Great review on the XV01, impressive body collection too. Got many happy off road hours on my XV01 now and still going strong 👍
Thankyou. Same here . I’ve spent hours with it. It’s just a bit magic 😊👍

it’s a fantastic chassis mate . i do recommend it 😊👍

Hi John , thanks for checking it out . I think you will enjoy the build as well as running it. It’s certainly different and premium 😊👍👍👍
Cool Dom. The last rallye car I had was the TA-02 and I still want one, so the overview was just right for me the rere-beginner 😉
Thanks mate. I’m glad it helped . I don’t think you will be dissatisfied with the XV01 😊👍

Thanks Bob. Great minds think alike 😊🤜👍
Thnx for the video! I’m awaiting mine to arrive at my local hobby store.
thanks for watching and i hope you enjoy it 😊👍
Great video Dom! Love the XV01! Will be looking at getting different body shells on it at some point. 👍😊
Thanks buddy. Glad you enjoyed it 👍😊 yes it’s fun doing the new bodies 😊👍
Great video Dom 🙌🏻 Love my rally chassis RCs and can’t wait to see more of these videos
Thanks Craig. Just trying to vary it up a bit 😊👍
Awesome RC car. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching buddy 😊👍
Great overview Dom. Loving all the bodies you have and it handled that deep sand no problem. All the best mate.
CheersRob . I think it’s a cracking bit of kit and have had many fun hours drifting about with it . Plus being a rally fan it’s ideal 😊👍
What would you recommend for radio transmitter, servo, esc, receiver, battery and charger?
Awesome rc's and video, great information
Thanks buddy 😊👍
