Not sure if you know this, but Korea has one of the most longest working hours in the world. So, the part where you say you don't get it - RM is referring to the streetlights as others' thorns bc the streetlights are made from ppl who work relentlessly through the night. Seoul is famous for the night views, so for people who work in Seoul, we often say '옥상으로 가자(let's go to the rooftop) = let's take a break' while working overtime. When we go up the rooftop during our overtime, we'd see the busy streets and the night view of Seoul. It consoles us, but it's also saddening to think that those lights are also made by people in pain just like us, who can't return home even after the moon rises. That's how the phrase 'We are each other's nightscape, each other's moon' is made.
RM tells us to 'look closely at the blinking light' and asks 'isn't the night view such a cruel thing?' to the listeners. It reminds me of a quote, 'Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot' by Charlie Chaplin. :) Hope it helped.

RM mixtape is in different level now. Before he'd do some strong lyrics and dedicated to all haters and etc. Now his mixtape have been so thoughtful and deep and got that different level Vibe. I mean like how he think in different perspectives of this world and we cud tell how much of reading he cud do, how much thoughts he cud think, how much he had to go through to create this beautiful mixtape. :)
Ikr, I think it's different, maybe not everyone likes it (They think It'll be banger etc) but definitely if you deep inside this playlist brought you to another level vibes & understanding. I just love how the whole playlist songs explore pieces of RM as Kim Namjoon
We have to remember he's from Korea and I read somewhere that in Korea people who live in the "ghetto" "projects" were/are called "Moonchild" .. it's just because here in the West the hills are reserved for the rich but over there the hills of the city are for the poor and they are considered closer to the moon because they're high up there. So I think he's telling them that it's ok even if you're from there you can still shine and make it.. be proud of who you are and where you came from. Y'all look very handsome today

The "ghetto" places of Korea which are crammed with small houses on top of the hills are called "Moon village" but we don't call people who live there Moonchild. But I do like your interpretation :)
@@booyaboo_83 well I take no credit for the explanation lol I just read it somewhere and then the song made more sense to me. I live in a small farming town in Central California made up if mostly field workers and it hit right at home for me after reading about the Moon hoods.. :) I fell in love with this whole album. RM, or I feel like we should address him as Kim Nam Joon for this album, is such a genius when it comes to writing. 💜👑💜
@@esthergarcia19 Yes, Namjoon really IS a genius especially when it comes to writing lyrics. It's not something that can be made in a matter of days, he seems to be really devoted in reading and making his stories genuine.

@@booyaboo_83 yes. I loved watching him on Problematic Men. I'm sure it has a different name over there lol just hearing all the music he has written and the word play he has on it, it leaves me in awe.
I love this song so much! The message behind this track is so incredibly deep, personal, and heart-breaking, but also encouraging, hopeful, and just beautiful. Every single one of us can interpret the song in their own way and we can find things we've personally been through or even pieces of ourselves in the verses. It makes me feel supported actually.

In my opinion This song says that not everyone has to shine in the sun and it's okay to be different. It's actually inspired by 4'0 clock and if you look at it in a LGBT way it makes sense, it's okay to be different and it's okay to cry, it's okay just love Yourselves. Lovely reaction

This is how I interpreted it as well, from an LGBT perspective. It made me cry the first time I listened to it because I feel every word so much. Namjoon is amazing 💜
