To be fair, Batarang's are based on shuriken, and shuriken aren't especially deadly. They were primarily tools of distraction and that could give minor injuries to open up the target to a follow up attack. Killing with them is possible. But not easy. Like if you had amazing aim and power and targeted someone neck, then yeah, sure, you'd kill them. But you'd more likely use them to cut someone's exposed hand or face so they drop their guard or just use it to make a noise in the opposite direction of where you want to go. The lethality of shuriken (and by extension Batarang's) is massively overstated. Btw in Batman The Animated Series, Batman uses the "Bat-Star" in "The Last Laugh" and "I Am the Night". Which have a more practical and more shuriken like design.
It almost sounds like Batman is a...NINJA! D: Oh right, he is. XD Excellent point. Tools of distraction and minor injury / debilitation...so he can beat them to a pulp. That checks out. :D
Really like this channel, it's different enough from the main channel that it's always fun to watch even when the topics overlap. Keep up the great work T!
the batarang and that are 2 different things that exist simultaneously but originally the batarang is a something that can curve or come back which is why i wouldnt call what he uses in the movies batarangs
Love the Batman transition! I was hoping for The Animated Series Batarang. Specifically the long thin one. Not the one that is more like half a disk. Though, I think the disk one would work well with practice as well.
It would be fantastic if you could invite some *shuriken expert with you to test your batarangs* and to explain different functionality. You could find them from ninjutsu, chihou, and some European knife masters. Nice video, I would love te see more of this!
It had to feel so cool when you were shaping them at the grinder. The Arkham is my favorite design too. If you do another, I’d be interested to see the one from the animated series. Instead of a bat head, that side is a clean arch so you would have a longer run of blade. Either way. This was a fun watch. Just recently found your channel. I’m going through it all. Shit’s really cool, man.
Yeah, but you need way higher amount of testing throws to get any form of significance. 10 throws each from 4 different distances and you would have "enough" to get a good idea. (can be off camera- so less time spend)
I can see this being a nice series project. Do groups of three Batarangs per video and when you have them all (all the interesting ones) then do a head to head/ finale video.
Loved the video my only criticism really is for the arkham batarang, there's a lock in the middle to keep it from folding on impact, but that's really just more of me being a nitpicking nerd than it is a criticism. Can't wait for more in the future!
It's actually quite interesting seeing how the different Batarangs fit their respective Batmans. Batflecks' Batarangs stick into their target much more easily as he aims to inflict as much damage as possible. Bale's are able to cut but not severely injure and Arkham's Batarangs are mainly used to knock out or simply incapacitate foes, not injure them.
this was entertaining. i'm curious, as to whether or not most of the original Lego ninja weapons from the mid 80s to early 90s, would scale up to workable props for testing. that would be interesting, especially since the main three weapons, were a katana, a kunai and a ninja star, also called a surukin or throwing star. i know that having those things, outside video usage can be problematic, however i'm curious enough to suggest this idea.
you should design your own one based off the Blade throwing scythe thing you did before, maybe a batwing pointing in each direction. Seems like that would give the most effective bat-erang
I think that would be very interesting to test not just diferent batarangs but the way you throw them, you did all the same way, but you could try different techniques. One that I find very interesting is the way experts throw poker cards (and manage to pierce and cut things).
Definitely want to see more baterang designs i think it would be fun to have a definitive list of baterangs which ones work and which don't. Although it's not really a list since most of them would probably either work or not work.
Probably difficult to test in a grassy field, but how about distance throwing? Which is more comfortable? Which is easier to use? How far can each fly? Do they stay accurate over distance? etc. They all look beautiful, btw.
I enjoyed this and think you are correct. I throw shuriken and depending on the point styles all work pretty much the same. Thanks for all you time and efforts. Take Care and Stay Safe.
If you take the akham one, split it in the middle, mirror one half and put it back together you get the same effect as with the blade knife. It just works soo much better.
The standard you hold yourself to is as high as ever! Always incredible content when you're involved, brother 🙏🏽 With that said though I'm here praying you make some Bloodborne trick weapons to test 😂 I know they might be dangerous to the user in most cases, but man they are cool
I think I would say there was a clear winner, if Arkham hits 50% of the time its bang in the middle, however on a human sized target it is probably more reliable getting both prongs stuck in the target rather than just the one of the batfleck"s
man I wish I could have seen this sooner!!! Also, 10K views! CONGRATS MAN! And c'mon, guys, give the channel a like if you watch it!!! YOU REALLY NEED TO if you want to see more content!!! These creators are getting SLAMMED by RUclips!
Great video. Small note, you threw the Arkham batarang wrong throughout the video. Look at how Batman throws them in the game. Not sure if that’s an aesthetic thing or an aerodynamics thing though.
The real issue was the throwing technique. Often times you threw the arkham design backwards. I think if you did some practice with the different styles you might get different results. Cool video
Great tests of batarangs, the dark knight is the best of the three , yu should make test of call of duty BO4 knife or red hood knife. It should be amazing.
While in modern vernacular they are batarangs, originally batarangs were blunt and these would be razor bats. He didn't start using these till after Moon Knight started using his crescent darts and the Frank Miller gave Batman something similar in Dark Knight.
I have no idea if this effected anything but I noted you threw them all, for want of a better description, it was in an ears front grip I have no idea if a change of orientation will effect anything also your Arkham baterang may need adjustment as the game one seem have a flatter orientation and yours more resembles the Blade glave with a more hooked shape. In a little side note the Baterang from the 60's batman was more of a bludgeoning weapon
The main use of the bat shuriken... that's what these are, different from the batarang... was to be used to pin clothing to walls, or inflict only minor wounds, like throwing a ring a keys at someone, without seriously wounding or, possibly, killing someone. They were never meant to be high damage items.
Ok, I think it would be cool to test distance accuracy. Like how far away can you be from the manikin and hit at least 3 times in a row. Every 3-5 meters should be a good reference. "Though it would be a lot of walking back and forth." Honestly, I thought Batfleck was going to do poorly. Less pointy things and all that.
More throws of the saw blade would have been good. Because being circular and the sheer number of sharp points, it has more potential to cause cuts and sharp pain then the batarangs. Even better, remove every other or every 3rd tooth and try again... maybe less likely to bounce?
How about the Adam West version...out of wood. Looking back, it makes sense for the era. Kid oriented show from the '60s, so they were meant to knock out the henchmen. But now that I've suggested it, I wonder what to bother testing about it. 🤔
Be honest..... the big gorgeous looking Batarang on the thumbnail for the video. Did you get that in the Batman Arkham Asylum video game that came in the special edition Batman emblem plastic box that had a doctor's Journal and the dossier of all the profiles of the most serious criminals in Arkham Asylum???🤔...😅
Is today Batman day for me? I happened to grab my Batman shirt today before finding out about the OSP detail diatribe on Batman and then watching this video too.
now I know why Batman throws Batarangs even with the no kill rule. they can hurt when they hit but the chances of killing someone with a batarang is slim
2:44 You know, you could put some Batman music in there, right? From Batman Arkham series for example. Just to get the mood and tone of the video right. As for the Batarangs, they are all deadly. You just have to understand how to throw them so that they actually get stuck in the target. Cause when you throw it in the wrong way, then it just gonna bounce off.
More than just using more designs, you need to do more throws. No way of knowing what the margin of error for this is, but you're *well* within it. You have a hit rate of 50% on average and are within one throw of that on every single one of them!
Now to follow in the wings of Arkham you need to make a few with cameras on them and a few with shock and various other attachments. Ok I'll settle for the bat shaped pointy things .
I am aware that More throws are required and there are a lot of variables here but hey this one is just for fun 👍🏼
Foamy or Phoney Stark was the best suggestion I saw.
I still enjoyed it ! I've admired the batarang since childhood.
His name is Kevin. You're welcome 👍
The Dummy's name is Tony Stank. As a nod to civil war.
*in throatiest voice possible* "I'm not wearing gambeson"

Batranth: FIRST TRY!
(Lego Movie)
I feel like as Batman doesn’t “kill” a 50% of not hitting the target with the sharp bits is a good thing especially if you don’t want to kill them
I wonder if anyone else remembers when Batarangs weren't stylized throwing blades and used like actual boomerangs with a cord to ensnare badguys.
the batarang and that are 2 different things that exist simultaneously but originally the batarang is a something that can curve or come back which is why i wouldnt call what he uses in the movies batarangs
Man doesnt realize that hes doomed himself to eventually test all the batarangs😂
2:53 I'm gonna say this because I haven't seen anyone else has, but dang Tyranth looks good in that getup
Love the Batman transition!
I was hoping for The Animated Series Batarang. Specifically the long thin one. Not the one that is more like half a disk. Though, I think the disk one would work well with practice as well.

Nice choice of background music. I've been missing some good R&B.
Tyranth content! I was so confused that you mentioned making these in the Shadiversity video a while ago, but hadn't seen them here yet.
sometimes it can take a while to get content done sadly
Almost 10k already. Well done.
Yeah, but you need way higher amount of testing throws to get any form of significance. 10 throws each from 4 different distances and you would have "enough" to get a good idea. (can be off camera- so less time spend)
7:08 I think you nicked the top of the squash before hitting the tree
"A Shad is coming. . . . Someone like you, some to rattle the Nates. . . "
Your throwing accuracy is scary amazing.
Batarangs are probably carbon fiber. With the amount Batman carries, any metal would be too heavy.
If only modern Batarangs could return if they missed like a boomerang, though becoming shuriken like did made them look cool on screen and in games.
The channel has serious grow potential! I subscribed. The concept all about screen testing gadgets, a novel RUclips channel idea.
You can tell that Tyranth really enjoys his work. 🤗 I love it!
"Nope, nope, nope, nope. Alright, first try!" -Lego Batman
Beautiful craftsmanship as always!
It’s amazing that you have that old Shogun Marvel comic on the shelf. I got them when they came out. I don’t think I was really reading yet.
My favorite Batarang is Batman Beyond, cool design and ,i think would perform well. Great video.
I’m really enjoying the channel so far, keep up the good work! Oh and I would like to formally suggest the name of the dummy to be Iron Dan.
Awesome Video! Keep up the good work and really looking forward to the next Batarang test!
I can see this being a nice series project. Do groups of three Batarangs per video and when you have them all (all the interesting ones) then do a head to head/ finale video.
By the end, dude really got pretty good at slinging those wacky things!
Loved the video my only criticism really is for the arkham batarang, there's a lock in the middle to keep it from folding on impact, but that's really just more of me being a nitpicking nerd than it is a criticism. Can't wait for more in the future!
I have the testing music stuck in my head.

Neat video! I’m curious to see more designs tested!
These videos are great. Keep it up brother
On your next test video, test for range. See if the smaller or lighter ones can go as far (and as straight) as a bigger/heavier one.
Tyranth is an amazing shot! Goes to show that the bat symbol makes a great throwing weapon!
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Those seem wicked!
Really enjoy your videos. Always appreciate seeing the fabrication. Keep up the good work

Nice vid. You filmed it before Chad, right? Keep it up.
Yeah this was filmed a while ago now
Trying to do a batman voice i somehow sounded more like Schwarzenegger instead :D Anyway great video, that was a lot of fun to watch.

Definitely want to see more baterang designs i think it would be fun to have a definitive list of baterangs which ones work and which don't. Although it's not really a list since most of them would probably either work or not work.
that is True they will either work or not work haha
Awesome video! 😊
could be an idea to try out Riddicks Furyan Ulaks
Not bad but can be much better if "wings" are in opposite directions :) Just watched blade video and now I know a lot about throwing weapons lol
Damn dude, I'm constantly impressed by how good your aim is!
Could you make Jetstream Sam's quick draw assisted scabbard done with airguns or co2 cartridges?
Gotta do the glider cape!
I would be curious if one design over the others had a better effective range.
Next up. The sawblade gun from far cry new dawn ❤
A few games likely have Sawblade guns. That alone could be a few videos.
Probably difficult to test in a grassy field, but how about distance throwing? Which is more comfortable? Which is easier to use? How far can each fly? Do they stay accurate over distance? etc.
They all look beautiful, btw.
With only 2 ends that can really stick in, distance matters so much.
I didn’t expect them to do so well
I enjoyed this and think you are correct. I throw shuriken and depending on the point styles all work pretty much the same. Thanks for all you time and efforts. Take Care and Stay Safe.
I got the switch blade one stuck in my foot after it bounced off the tree I was trying to get I can guarantee it will not kill just hurt
If you take the akham one, split it in the middle, mirror one half and put it back together you get the same effect as with the blade knife. It just works soo much better.
The standard you hold yourself to is as high as ever! Always incredible content when you're involved, brother 🙏🏽
With that said though I'm here praying you make some Bloodborne trick weapons to test 😂 I know they might be dangerous to the user in most cases, but man they are cool
For one of your future videos, you should test the glaive from Krull.
*recalls something about throwing rotating metal objects into trees*
I think I would say there was a clear winner, if Arkham hits 50% of the time its bang in the middle, however on a human sized target it is probably more reliable getting both prongs stuck in the target rather than just the one of the batfleck"s

The quality of these vids obviously deserve way more views. Perhaps us fans should help out for reals, at least once in a while.
To be fair, if any of those hit me in the wrist while I was pointing a gun… the guns going down lol and I’m probably nursing a broken bone.
While in modern vernacular they are batarangs, originally batarangs were blunt and these would be razor bats. He didn't start using these till after Moon Knight started using his crescent darts and the Frank Miller gave Batman something similar in Dark Knight.

isnt everyday batman day? haha
What about the Rebellion from dmc
Basing one of the Batarangs on the Arkham versions? Well got 4 games to choose from.
Nice video... but where's the Adam West representation?
I like how he recognizes that sawblade steel is very tough
If you don’t have the money to buy proper high-grade steel, just use an old sawblade 👍
It comes down to the throwing technique, Bro. All are weapons. Just gotta figure out the best technique for throwing them.
impressed by your use of the saw blade. like the native americans, you used all of the buffalo.
now I know why Batman throws Batarangs even with the no kill rule. they can hurt when they hit but the chances of killing someone with a batarang is slim
It all comes down to the Speed, RPM and Distance. With enough practice...They all should work.
Dang it man. If only you threw shields as well as you throw batarangs. 😂
Seriously, though, great video. Thanks for the entertainment.
"Where are they" - the 10k subsribbles

If you do re do this, Please please pleas oh please test the batman beyond battarang.
Thank you for another fascinating project. Musical greetings from Belgium, Gunther (singer and lyrics writer of Gabriel Scar)
As a union welder, i know that was a lot of grinding
Indeed it was..
Now to follow in the wings of Arkham you need to make a few with cameras on them and a few with shock and various other attachments. Ok I'll settle for the bat shaped pointy things .
Please test the batman beyond Batarang too
I would like to suggest "Ironmir" for your test dummy (in honor of long suffering Boromir on Shadiversity).
Got the QMX replica at home.
Thing would legit cause a TBI, definitely a weapon.
*It's a Batfleck
