I don't know what it is but it seemed everyone was slow. I am not sure if they weren't awake or if they are getting old. Everyone just seemed slow compared to the Vikings. Brock seemed to hold the ball too long when he had people underneath for easy completions. It doesn't make sense since you know they are going to blitz, get rid of it as soon as possible. It was like everyone went out drinking the night before and stayed up til 0400 hours. It's one game though. Let's see how Niners respond.

I put this loss more on kyle than anyone. Sure the defense was bad but it was a winnable game. Purdy was 28 for 36, 319 yards. Pressured 13 times, sacked 6. Kyle didn't adjust pass protections, didn't use play action enough, too many obvious passing plays on drop backs, didn't use up tempo early enough in the 4th, guys weren't getting open. I put this more on Kyle than Brock. This felt like the superbowl all over again. Historically before brock Kyle doesn't call plays well when trailing or makes good adjustments.
Niners got outcoached in all 3 phases of the game. Purdy had that tough pick and that weird fumble/slip - unacceptable 97 yard TD - receivers struggling to get open, etc.

Having only these ideas is not really what I would expect from an NFL head coach to begin with, but for the whole game, Warner, Bosa, Juszczyk, Kittle and Mason were the only players who looked like they sticked to this advice and were at least awake. Everybody else really looked tired, jet-lagged and unable to focus.
Defense giving flashbacks to the end of last year where they could not get off the field on 3rd down. Offensive mistakes everywhere as you point out (and receivers who are getting ZERO separation) but don't forget that it felt like they were starting 1st and 20, 1st and 15 or 2nd and 10 on the majority of their drives. Constantly behind the chains due to mental mistakes.
Flores employs what's been called a "hybrid" secondary. Where the LBs, safeties, and even sometimes the corners constantly shift their positions from where they're normally expected to be. Those looks clearly had Brock Purdy confused at times, which forced him to hold the ball longer.
The offensive line got exposed with delay blitz's and bluffs, with bad communication. Brendel was consistently getting caught on a stunts or getting driven back to Purdy. Two ways to beat complexed defensive schemes: one is stretch the field with vertical shots outside the numbers or catching the defense on overlord blitz's or bluffs and zoning them out putting a hat on a hat.

I put the loss on the fact that we don't have true number 1 WR. We have 2 ourstanding #2s, but when you come up against D that can speed up your QB & play press man you need a WR who can win off the line & fight through reroutes to get open early & often. Now we don't have that & we don't have the cap to get that.
Calling the secondary the best unit on the team after witnessing them give it up on that late drive while they were still in contention is pure uncut madness.

Pathetic work by Kyle despite going into the half with a significant time of possession advantage. Mason largely ran roughshod, averaging 5 yards per carry. Stop it

The Vikings didn’t adjust, Kyle blew it. There was nothing to adjust to because Kyle abandoned the run. Simple as.

The 12 play drive only took 4 minutes it was a 99 yard drive hard to go much quicker when the defense isn't letting anything get behind them

I was a real huge Purdy supporter but I think he’s regressing, other than a few yards he look pretty ordinary and shaky.

Great analysis, Larry. All around crap game not withstanding a couple of outstanding individual performances. Purdy was great and then awful in turns. The O line was shit. Play calling sucked!!! Receivers cannot get separation. As predicted, Aiyuk proving he isn't all-world. Typical big contract hangover. Should have traded him. Def front 4 were still at the airport. Even special teams had a huge let down. Hopefully this is a major wake up call. They looked like they were believing their own hype.

Brock Purdy can't get over the hump.
Same defensive zone coverage the whole game no blitzes no disguised coverage Sorensen got pieced up but most of the blame is on Kyle and the oline like always 49ers looked washed early and need too go on another 10 game winning streak late
That’s 5 games in a row where Purdy struggles to find the endzone. 1-12 on 3rd down…. That’s not a franchise QB.

I like Purdy but he was my #1 reason for our loss. He played like a Rookie. Confused - Lazy & Immobile! Hope we never see this Purdy again!!!

That would be the O-Line play. Sacked 5-6 times. He didn't trust the protection. TBH it was an all around $Hit show.
