I served in the russian army when I was 19 years old. That was in 2014. Best time of my life. I have never been so physically strong and mentally calm.

Is it war that defines a man? It’s really hits a primal instinct in certain men I suppose. Being a soldier is sadly both honorable and pitiful role. You fight with your heart and everything you’ve got, but for what cause? The news over here is always insisting that this invasion was unprovoked but if you aren't clueless you'd know that it clearly was. Look at American foreign policy the last 20 years. 40 years. Look at NATO moving closer and closer to their border after many leaders over the last few decades said it wouldn't, and even worse, they straight up said that doing so WOULD provoke Russia.

@dupe Russia is literally next door to Ukraine. There should be no excuse to have logistics this poor. If the US can sufficiently equip its troops that are on the other side of the world, Russia can supply its troops that are fighting next door.
@@thebigsad5402 Ukraine is literally right next to Poland and other Pro Ukrainian countries who are supplying them with weapons and more yet they cant amount enough to make a counter offensive. logistic and supplies is just not that easy in this current situation for both sides. Cant compare this war to Iraq or Afghan since it was literally a bunch of global economic powers against 1 country

@@proshacot a lot of the area is in poverty and is a very bad area quality of life wise, on the other hand they keep a lot of traditional roles and value (compared to western countries), I would say that being a soldier is a very masculine role and that the ad had defined this.

I think every American should join the military while young. I working at a Mexican restaurant, had no future, so I joined Army in 1973 mainly to get some training on computers, which was a new field back then. Five week training class then put in a computer room to work. The hardest thing is to get a start in life and the Army gave me that start. Led to a career in computers, working for NASA on Space Shuttle, retired a millionaire, all due to that five week computer class then work experience. Go Army!

I'm a vet from more recent wars. Noone should join the US military until we end our empire and withdraw our troops overseas and actually do the job of defending the homeland.

Those in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force, have only ever had the job of securing the interests of those in the federal government. It’s a good ad. The US military would be tailoring their military ads to transgender people and equity/inclusion.
The Russian military has no women, meaning they have no logistics. 85% of the current U.S. Army are non-combat support roles. Russian troops are basically fighting a war like it's Vietnam.
Almost like they want everyone to know that the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" days are over and they will take anyone who is competent and willing.
Except U.S. actually cares about its soldiers and does not send them to a dangerous slaughterhouse, with 100K+ casualties.
