This is pure art from beginning to end!! I'm so freaking amazed at how you did the design, transfer, design stitching, watercolor, crazy wonderful embroidery, beading, finishing/displaying, and no doubt even more work behind the scenes. And then to film it all and edit it into a beautiful video??You absolutely crushed it. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video, it's such a treat. Keep up the good work!!
Aaah thank you! I drew inspiration from various artists on instagram and translated it to something i'd like and can do. I want to keep growing and getting better so i can deliver more unique work in the future
What started out as a simple imagine ends up with a touch of elegant beauty! Great combination of techniques and wonderful taste in choosing colours and stitches! Thank you!
Your watercolor embroidery is absolutely stunning! I’ve never seen anything like it before. Your commission process seems very thorough and professional, which I appreciate as a potential customer. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much for the video!! I found your embroidery on tumblr, fell utterly in love and reblogged all those I could find on your blog. I hope to be able to make my own embroidery one day and love them as much as I love yours!!
My eyes are popping out of my face in awe of each of your steps...I'm obsessed! Love water colour and embroidery...combined...it's devine! Thank you for sharing your stunning work! Sending a virtual air hug from Toronto, Ontario Canada!
aawww thank you! I had a lot of inspiration from other amazing artists but I do like to think i've created my own creative language? a little bit heheh
OMG, this video was so thoughtfully made. It showed everything that I've always wondered about and was just a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing! Your artistry is incredible. ^_^
This is gorgeous! I wonder how it would look to embroider in white and water color the actual stitches, but maybe the thread would just make everything puddle in weird ways....
Ooooh that sounds so interesting!! I'm definitely going to try it out some time soon. I have a vague idea of what might happen but i can't wait to try and see if i'm wrong. Thank you for the suggestion and the sweet comment
Hi! thank you for your nice comment, it really brightened my day ;v; The fabric i use is cotton, very easy to come by but not a very premium quality. It's normally used as mockup material to drape dresses cause it's so affordable. It's called "Crea" in chile but i don't really know the translation in english, sorry.
!!!!! oh my god i can't-thank you for being so sweet. (I can't really wrap my head around people following my work for a while so thank you very much for telling me). I'd love to share more videos in the future, hope you enjoy it when they come
This is amazing! I'm starting to learn embroidery myself and this has given me a ton of inspiration :) I wanted to ask, it looks like you alternate going forward with your stitches and going backwards (I guess that's called a back stitch?). Is there any difference between how the two will look?
this is soooo pretty!! do you have an ig account where I can follow you,I just receny started with embroidery and this video is really awesome, also can I use any kind of watercolor?
Hi! I use all types of beads, some more inexpensive, some more fancy… Depends on what you want to do and what effect you want to achieve. There's some plastic ones and some glass ones of a great variety of colors and shimmers and stuff. Whatever I find and like in the store is what I purchase hehehe.
hello! i'm planning to sell my watercolor embroidery (26cm). this is my first time doing commission actually. what do you think is a good price for my buyers? i don't have any idea 😅
Hi! Oof, this is always a tricky question. I find the best way of estimating a price is calculating how many hours it took you (approximately) to do the work and multiply that by the minimum wage in your country (at LEAST! i'm talking minimum here, you can multiply it by more). Add to that the materials you used up (again, approximately). That should give you a good number to begin with. Please keep in mind that you can raise your prices as you get better and become more well known and more people want to own your work. I hope this helps and good luck!
@@silvipeppers this will really help a lot! at least i have now the idea. also, i like what you said on what i'll do once my business grows. that's a nice tip we got there. massive thank you!! keep safe and i love your art btw.
Noo don't cry. It's a matter of practice! I try out the paints in scraps of the same fabric to get a lay of the land. I also try color combinations (like you see in the video, only i did it in paper). Hope this helps! Don't stop trying
Beautiful needlework.
