Outstanding lecture fellas. Good and honest. I so agree that God does laugh at us when we make command decisions. He already knows the outcome but allows us to try to implement our plan. I think If you are really true to your heart and to the craft you'll get that spirit green light if he approves and if he'll direct your spirit and the words out of your mouth to make things line up. So thank God for understanding.

Many of my brothers and I have the so-called gift of memorizing ritualistic work. As evidenced by this guest, oftentimes moving quickly and ascending to the head of all these houses is a matter of others not being willing or able to step up and perform the work... It is a poor reflection of the state of that lodge, an indictment of the brethren present.
There's NO reason to sit 3 years in the East NOR to ascend to the West before reaching one's first year in Masonry, ESPECIALLY in a lodge of 100 members ...

Your comment goes to show not only your lack of understanding of Masonry as a whole, but it gives the perception that you Masonry is cookie-cutter and should only go one way. This does not speak to the reflection of my lodge which has been I'm existence for over 150 years and STILL going strong, but to the confidence they saw in me to lead.
Finally there ARE reasons to serve 3 or maybe more years in the East in any body of Masonry, you're obviously just not aware of them.

@@damienjack2548 first of all I do understand serving multiple years in the East, however, good leadership creates other leaders... to be called upon in 3 consecutive years however indicates that the lodge was missing something in a woeful manner previously...
Next, when you first explained being tricked into the South , you didn't mention anything about leadership, you described your ability to memorize ritual. That's not leadership, that's good study habits or memorization
Sorry Brother, you won't just write this one off by saying that it had "more to do with your ability to lead".
You were a Master Mason for less than a year and they installed you as a Principal Officer, if THAT speaks of YOUR ability to lead then what does it say about those who were there before you were raised?! Were they not fit to serve in the South?
People were floored or jumped to put you into the South, which again speaks a more telling tale of the brethren present than of you. Your talent is not at issue here, theirs is. Having held a charter for 150 years is besides the point.
When I said dead I meant without a strong option or workers in the particular places where they needed to be or people from the sidelines who were capable not being willing to step up. If you were never raised in your life the lodge would have gone on.
As far as being cookie cutter, the brothers I was raised with and I decided that we would not join the appendant bodies until we'd all at least passed the chair and devoted several years to the blue house for a thorough understanding of the foundation of masonry... joining other houses, splitting my time, dividing my attention and resources was not it, and yes I declined several requests an inclinations to delve into the York and Scottish rites... there was NO rush, no craving desire to explore other houses before laying the strongest of foundations, in that way I learned the blue lodge very well. Cookie cutter is kind of like what you described, Brothers bouncing around to different houses within months of being raised.
My "understanding" of masonry is strong, and if your understanding of the same leads you to believe that you should have been voted into the south after 9 months despite all you've "learned" about masonry in your short decade and a half then it's not mine that's awry.

Reminder- life happens. Sometimes that is just it. Brothers could be being prepared but life outside the craft makes it so they can’t be there. We also know some brothers choose not to be there. It was great the Bro. Jack was there and stepped up for his lodge. It’s great that he spreads his knowledge for all brothers. I thank you for taking the time to watch and hopefully you received something from the show and continue to watch. 💪🏾
