This is honestly one of the best parts about Freemasonry, the meeting of men from vastly different generations. A couple of summers back me and another brother who I lived with at the time, when we were both attending Iowa State, got lunch with a 98 year old Mason from our Blue Lodge who was Raised while he was attending Iowa State right after he came back after his service in World War II, doing 36 bombing missions in B-17s over Germany. It was such an awesome experience to hear his stories and compare things like college, Freemasonry and life experiences to how it was in his early twenties with our own.
I can listen to this Brother talk for hours. THIS is a real “influencer”. Real men honor a “real” man. I love elderly people. I guess it’s the Native in me but I was raised to always honor and respect the elderly. SMIB /G\
As a lifetime member of the Portland Valley, Orient of Oregon who is closing in on 50 years in the Rite, I salute this resolute Brother. What a privilege to meet this Brother, if only virtually. Thanks to the Rite for recognizing this Brother, and the leaders for taking their time and making the effort to conduct this visit.
I have a dream myself to get my life together and join in the brotherhood and keep the Keene's tradition going. Turn out to be someone that is effective in the society in the positive way!!!
I was happy until the video was at 08:32. Then I was pointing at my screen and thinking very loudly at 106 he's wearing the wrong hat color! Someone fix that!
Black Cap ist probably enough to Brother Lloyd. But it should be a honor to the Scottish Rite to make this Brother a Blue Cap! Fraternal Greetings from Germany (AMSRB)
The only reason in my opinion a human should live that longer on earth, is to serve a supreme Being that can take care of him/her when he/she crosses beyond the curtain of time. If we didn't serve such a Being on earth, no matter what we did on earth wouldn't matter beyond the curtain of time. Of course what we did for our family, for our friends for our fraternity will matter to them, but only what we did for that supreme being will matter and follow us beyond the curtain of time.
the kindest and moral freemason, even of the sottish rite, and the shriners died before they where 75 not placing another person in community at danger for a better life for someone else's superior child. while the freemason here at such a age are not of moral ground, thus often using such grandfather clauses, or corporate and zionist legal loop holes, not caring for the health and safety of others. as sadly why many do live such to an age, is because many members of community where placed in such risks, dangers and toxicity so that others could survive. thus sadly many of such a age are not my elders.
My initiation is tonight, im a little nervous but really excited. Thank you brother maynard, your content has been a great source of inspiration! I look forward to watching more of your content as an EA.. 📐🧭😎🤌

As a 2 year Mason at 45. I find this fascinating.
What a fine fine gentleman and Brother! He looked and acted with characteristic humility and good humour on that very special occasion.

Why they didn’t make him a 33rd Scottish Rite Mason
How to join
Is there a difference between Masons and Elk Lodge or are they the same thing?
@ousamaabdu794 Yes, they are completely separate. That's not to say there are men who are members of both, but no..completely different.
