33:00 When a child withdraws from their parents and stops talking to them, it's usually due to the parents' actions or behavior. This reflects more on the parents than on the child's nature. Children often respond to how their parents engage with them emotionally.

The mosdos have no interest in lowereing the cost of the chasuna night , they run all the halls , and its their money maker
And the marketing to offer services for a wedding has no interest in slowing down as well, why should they? We paying !!!
The badchan , the makeup , hair , music , singer , flowers , photography charge thousands $$for the few hours of their service

This is a really nice podcast, but if I am allowed to say in the most respectful way possible you need to learn how to let your guest talk without interruption. This is ruining your podcast slightly.

The person who told you that it’s not chasidish to hug your child is totally not true. It’s this specific person who’s having an issue with it. Majority hug their kids. Absolutely we do! I grew up in a very chasidish family and we got hugs and kisses all the time. There are some who feel uncomfortable with it. It’s sad for them because they are missing a fundamental important thing. Most people need a hug. It’s integral for close relationships. The ones who don’t are depriving their kids of a healthy emotional human need and hopefully they don’t feel deprived of it.

Btw I attend a Daf shiur twice each day but I listen to Eli’s shiur I skip the first 5 minutes of shmoozing put it on 1.5 speed and do my walking exercise 2 miles and get the whole Daf in that 2 mile walk
This works as a chazora or when we’re behind it’s a prep for the shiur I’ll hear
Very enjoyable and clear and concise highly addictive I keep going back each day

A lot of people are willing to make a takunis chasuna and the other side isn’t willing to lower it. I know of such a situation the Kalla told chusen family they don’t mind a lab grown diamond and the chusen said no. Clearly there are people who are willing and those who aren’t. So whoever doesn’t want should find a shidduch that goes along.

The issue is not there is not enough tekunes halls, 90% of mechtunim making tekunas chasunas are still spending usually more then 5k for shabbos bavarfen or shabbos sheva bruches kinor dovid is taken every shabbos and all other halls with people spending same or more from wedding night just for shabbos shave bruches or shtrymel

As a Lubavitcher, I am hooked on Reb Eli.

    • @---tx9xx
      @---tx9xx 22 дня назад

Nice, SHKOACH!! Serious question, what percentage of Lubavitchers would you say learn Gemara seriously every day? Most of the Chabadskers I meet learn exclusively Chitas, the "maamarim" and "sichos" of the Rav Scheerson, Rambam, and lots of Tanya, but not Shas, not gemara. Granted, I've spent extended time mostly with "shluchim" and their families so perhaps this is not all Lubavitchers (what % would you estimate are stam yidden, not involved in shlichus btw). This is not a provoking question, I'm genuinely interested, because I've run into so many that learn just, for lack of a better word, "chabad-proprietary" stuff and not shas/gemara/medresh/meforshim/etc

    • @YH-ez7qr
      @YH-ez7qr 20 дней назад

@@---tx9xx True that you will find many Chabadniks that learn the Rebbe's sichos, chitas & rambam.that is the priority of every Chabad chosid. Your priority is learning what the Rebbe asked the chasidim to learn. This is first & foremost. However, there are many that follow daf yomi. If you have time for daf yomi, great. The Rebbe said that the first 15 days of Menachem Av, there should be a siyum on a gemora. (By Chabad even with a siyum we don't eat meat in the 9 days). There are hundreds of siuyumin nightly.
I for one am on the road alot, after my daily Chabad shiurim I open Rabbi Eli Stefansky MDY on RUclips to liosten.
If you want a specific number of Lubavitchers, I would say 35-40% ... Even those, it would be AFTER their daily Shiurim.

I don't think that it's only the points you made, the halls, photographers, musicians and others will be opposed to these takanas because their industries will suffer, so they will not have full support from a large segment of people
