    This was the best episode yet! Thank you so much 🙏 I really enjoyed the debate. While I understand Chillu's perspective, it's crucial for us and to teach our children that daas torah and hashkafas different from our own are equally esteemed by Hashem.

    Simple solution: make a mock shabbos table and have it filmed then! Plus is you can explain on camera each step of the seudah

    • @LatestTalks
      @LatestTalks  9 месяцев назад +1

      A mock Shabbos on video might look like the real thing, but it can't capture the true feeling of keeping Shabbos. The heart-to-heart connection and the genuine experience of observing Shabbos can't be replicated artificially. So, while it sounds like a good idea in theory, it wouldn't feel the same in reality.

    If Yidden are looking for a new place , consider Kansas City. You can live in either MO or KS, but most live in Overland Park or Leawood KS. Very affordable especially compared to NY. We need more Jews so we can have nice things like kosher restaurants etc. Please consider this move. Low crime, low cost, very nice place to raise a family.

      I think it was too much. Chilu didn't give Shlome a chance to bring out his point of view. At the point of Shabbes recording and by the end how the question regarding the red clothing was asked. And sounded a bit like he was trying to downgrade him. There is a way of asking a question and trying to understand vs grilling it into him like he is a sheigetz chas veshulem. Other from that, I loved this episode, the same as all other episodes. Keep up the great work, and keep on inspiring your listeners. KEEP IT UP.

    The healthiest family is where you can be yourself..not put into a mold & forced to fit in. We are ALL different even if you think people in a family conform....they may suffer inside and eventually the pressure cooker explodes.

    • @LatestTalks
      @LatestTalks  9 месяцев назад

      Correct, but some think differently and for them that's their right way.

    • @anonymous-io6zg
      @anonymous-io6zg 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@LatestTalksgranted...but the podcast is not to undermine the guests point of view. He is here to tell you about HIMSELF, that's why you invited him...cause he's an interesting guest & has what to offer the audience listening...but I think it was wrong of C. P. to interject what HIS position is on everything. I'm sure many guests come up and talk about their positions and you may take exception to lots of positions. He is the guest. Give him the respect. Don't put him on the spot..making him feel less observant or religious or the whole mesoira stuff. If you feel his position is not worthy of your podcast, or contradicts your observance, vis a vis yiddishkeit, then don't invite him. Invite people whose position you are sure you subscribe to. But different type of people watch this, not only Satmar, Pupa, or Vishnitz. This is NOT A FORUM FOR DEBATE..it's a podcast to hear interesting parts of him and "HIS" EXPERIENCES. I think it was very disrespectful to Shloimy & I guess his common sense exceeded the hosts disrespect of him, by him not defending himself to you, but caving to your desire by saying: Don't do it, this is me..etc etc. But you can tell his discomfort in spite of him projecting feelings of acceptance to satisfy the hosts. This is my humble opinion. Shloimy is an amazing person and has done so much in his effort to unite & bring people together. He has such a good, big heart and it's evident in everything he does.
      P.s. Chilu has a very narrow concept on many things and it's all fine. No disrespect. We are all entitled to live our conscience. But I come from the same crowd he does, raised in the community and raised family here. Not everyone, in spite of growing up in this bubble, lives IN THE BUBBLE. There are many paths to Hakodesh Boruch Hu and we all have a different shoiresh neshuma, even in the same family. We are not cookie cutter molds of our parents. We have individual souls with individual tafkid, purpose. And to fulfill that, we cannot think the same, act the same and be clones of each other. I cannot imagine the heartache he would feel if one of his kids went against his idea of right or wrong, not even in a bad way, but in a DIFFERENT way.. of how he perceives that way needs to be. Ehrlichkeit and yiddishkeit is varying and different. What he perceives as holy, others can mock & vice versa. We have a shulchen urech, we have Rabbunim, dayunim for questions and we need to respect that people and poskim can rule according to their understanding, not a lay petson who is stuck only on their own position. That, my friend, is NOT yiddishkeit.
      Thanks for your podcast. Looking fwd to future interesting guests. A gitten chodesh. May we feel joy in this month and forever after.
      United in strength and love for each other.

      Just like you can find a Rebbe's Tish on RUclips and it doesn't mean the Rebbe is on RUclips the same applies here. RUclips is just a platform we are on, we are on over 25 platforms and mediums.

    • @anonymousanonymous-qx7mv
      @anonymousanonymous-qx7mv 9 месяцев назад

      The Rebbes Tish is put without permission by a lay person deciding to share what obviously the Rebbe would not want. You on the other hand choose utube as one platform to present yourself. If I feel utube is wrong, or having a smartphone is wrong, I would not present there. It sounds hypocritical. You cannot filter your own phone and then go on to present your show on a platform you disagree should not be watched. I'm just pointing out the inconsistancies. I enjoy your show...but I dont pretend on any level. I don't hide from my friends, don't have 2 phones, one for private and one for public consumption. I believe in being real, myself...in spite of calls for filter, if you cannot filter yourself, filters dont work.

    Thanks for all amazing episodes so for but i feel the need to defend here shloimy he is such a nice guy and chillu attacked him with pure emotions based on his own knowledge of Torah (that from my knowledge he is not a dayen) so ממילא he is going to challenge shloimy with another dayen or question him who is your dayen is one thing but he didnt even want to listen based on his own דעת בעל הבית perspective on שבת,
    And and kept on attacking shloimy for no good reason, i am sorry that was totally wrong, and at the end of the episode the other host attacked him for for dressing red even though he himself is dressing red or at least similar to red, in my opinion unless it was staged you need to apologize in public to shloimy

      The red comment was staged. I know Shloimy and it was an inside joke. Not everything you see is so serious.

    It's important to note that although Kever Nachum in Alqosh is technically located in Iraq, in practicality it's located in independent Kurdistan. It's important to note so that people understand the difference in terms of travel. Northern Iraq is in practice an independent kurdish country but in law is part of Iraq, but it operates independently, the flights are into the capital Erbil, they are for the most part pro semitic etc. However the real country of Iraq (ie baghdad etc) unfortunately it almost certainly wouldn't work. It's a trip to Kurdistan, (or at the very least the kudistan region of Iraq, Erbil) rather than to Iraq. In some of the kevarim there I saw na nach nachman, hebrew names, etc,
