7-8 years since, I did a startup, prepared for UPSC(got service other than IAS, still preparing)... and have been upbeat at times and disillusioned at other times.
But disillusionment made a Buddha. You will come out strong. Long at life 30 years from today, you would be better than everyone around you if you keep believing in yourself and your purpose.
Vipassana meditation helped me in this journey. Telling you because when I went through Vipassana meditation, I felt I must have know it earlier before I started moving from light towards darkness.

Its heartening to see Bhavish calling a spade a spade. Hopefully, it would encourage a certain percentage of the Indian youth to look and discover the rich Indian ethos and not get influenced by whatever garbage west tries to expose us to. Secondly, India needs to have its own digital firewall at a national level. While India builds its own native digital infrastructure, platforms and apps, it cannot stay isolated from the happenings in the world. A national digital firewall comes in extremely handy as it lends a certain level of control over the digital universe while still not owning it.

i had always considered myself as a scientific and rational guy, and an ex-hindu athiest. After I cracked IIT , I discovered Hindu Philosophy through a friend. It was so profound that it shook my world. Now I realise that I was an athiest / "scientific" guy, because I knew nothing about Hinduism when I left it. Our education system, bollywood, etc are all hell bent on spotlighting the few negative, corrupted remnants of Hinduism. I now know about the people trying to ideologically subvert our country from within, and it pains me to see how many of my IITian friends have been completely brainwashed.

Great discussion! and it’s good to know that young entrepreneurs rooted in culture and tradition are working in a dharmic framework in developing future technologies. I wish Rajivji also can have a similar conversation with Shri Vembu of Zoho who is equally committed to building and leveraging technology that is rooted in the Indian tradition.

No Indian big companies invest truly for R&D.
Even understanding this, is very frustrating.
Most people in business don't even understand it.
In India a marketing /sales person earns more than the scientist doing the team R&D. They also mocks the scientists.
How do they expect to develop new technologies?

As usual, for some strange reason Indian industrialists are not showing the ability to push back at this Breaking Bharat forces who have entrenched themselves here very well.

@@nishant4262 The problem we're facing, something even Mr. Rajiv Malhotra will agree is that, these big business houses are refusing to correct their mistake even after all the evidence has been shown to them. We people with money and influence refuse to take your word, then we face real Chinese wall to scale. The government should take the initiative and educate them and if possible use its proverbial legal stick to correct them.

Very interesting conversation, as always, when Rajiv ji leads it. I always use Ola cabs when I have to use one, Extremely heartening to see Bhavish's keen interest in bharateeya sabhyata, gyaan parampara, and aspects that define our civilization and also putting efforts to nurture them. BTW, Arjuna spent exactly one year as eunuch by name Brihannnala, under Virat maharaj, during aagnatavasa - living incognito. A shraap given to him by Urvasi earlier came in handy during this period. I wish mamny more accolades for Bhavish and look forward to more amazing work from him.
