  • Reno, Nevada. The rest of the story. I attended a two day BBQ BREW AND BLUES festival in Reno. There are other things to do
Nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountains and the vast desert, Reno, Nevada, is a city of vibrant contrasts and unique attractions. One of its crown jewels is the National Bowling Stadium, a colossal structure known as the "Taj Mahal of Tenpins." The stadium's grandiose design and state-of-the-art lanes draw bowling enthusiasts from around the world, creating an atmosphere filled with the echo of rolling balls and the crash of pins. Nearby, the city’s legendary buffets beckon with their tantalizing spreads. These gastronomic havens offer everything from succulent prime rib to exotic sushi, allowing visitors to indulge in a culinary feast that mirrors the city’s eclectic spirit.
A leisurely stroll along the Truckee River Walk provides a serene counterpoint to Reno's bustling energy. The picturesque path, flanked by lush greenery and charming cafes, meanders alongside the tranquil flow of the river. Here, locals and tourists alike can unwind, watching kayakers navigate the gentle currents or listening to street musicians' melodies blending with nature's sounds. This scenic walkway captures the essence of Reno's more relaxed, yet equally captivating, side.
As night falls, Reno's neon lights ignite the skyline, drawing visitors to its iconic casinos and quirky wedding chapels. The Eldorado Resort Casino, with its dazzling lights and vibrant atmosphere, offers an exhilarating experience of games and entertainment. In contrast, the city’s numerous wedding chapels provide a playful charm, where couples can exchange vows in spontaneous, joy-filled ceremonies. Together, these elements create a tapestry of excitement and adventure, making Reno a city where every turn offers a new experience, inviting visitors to embrace its unique blend of thrill and tranquility.

The Nugget is a great casino to stay at as well. There is a restaurant in there called "John's Oyster Bar" I will say it has the best Cioppino I have ever enjoyed. It's called the "Lazy man's Cioppino" Glad you had fun!
