I was born in Reno and lived here over 50 years and tired of the growth and traffic!! Now northern Nevada has become a warehouse industry!! Oh let’s not forget the fuel prices because of the taxes!! (ridicules) I’m moving into Lyon county, purchased property and will be living in farm country, very quiet area and hardly any traffic!! Very peaceful in Gods country!! Don’t get me wrong the Sierras are beautiful and yes I can still take a trip to Lake Tahoe!!

My parents are elderly In Douglas County, and their health providers are very stretched. I am not very happy with the care they are getting. There are VERY few options for care facilities. So many people are retiring here- I am concerned about the future.

Excellent video! I’m from Chicago and is considering Reno due to the Amtrak route and the 4 seasons I’m use to. Downtown and Midtown would be something I would be more interested in. Rent for the first year to see how I like before investing. Hopefully you do more content on the Downtown and Midtown area for some of us that come from big cities

Okay so I'm from Texas considering Reno. If I wanted to get a home just a bit out from the city (but still close enough to be an edge suburb), where would I go? I want to stay away from the more dangerous wildlife and wildfires. I don't mind a good drive at all for a hike. I'm thinking a bit further from the mountains would be logical, I really don't want to have to deal with bears or mountain lions. That said, it's probably scorpion/snake country going the other way right? Good healthcare is important, my spouse has health issues and needs access to good hospitals. Otherwise, we need good internet.

Great video. I have lived in Sparks since 2003. Older home by Reed High. All the building going on has been great for my home value. Reno has done an amazing job cleaning up the bad areas. Midtown is beautiful now!

The midtown area is the biggest surprise for me.
It’s been improved so much these last 5 to 10 years.

One of the reasons the home's in old south west are so expensive sqft is because they are much less car dependent and they are close to everything.
