Oh let’s not forget the fuel prices because of the taxes!! (ridicules) I’m moving into Lyon county, purchased property and will be living in farm country, very quiet area and hardly any traffic!! Very peaceful in Gods country!! Don’t get me wrong the Sierras are beautiful and yes I can still take a trip to Lake Tahoe!!

Okay so I'm from Texas considering Reno. If I wanted to get a home just a bit out from the city (but still close enough to be an edge suburb), where would I go? I want to stay away from the more dangerous wildlife and wildfires. I don't mind a good drive at all for a hike.
I'm thinking a bit further from the mountains would be logical, I really don't want to have to deal with bears or mountain lions. That said, it's probably scorpion/snake country going the other way right? Good healthcare is important, my spouse has health issues and needs access to good hospitals.
