The Killer Instinct Pro indisputably stands as the epitome of recreation in its current state. However, one cannot help but ponder the rationale behind the design choices made by @atgames, as it leaves much to be desired. In fact, it can be argued that it is one of the most visually unappealing entities, rivaling even the screen issues encountered in the Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Edition from Arcade1Up.

@@PDX7 Currently, I am not actively seeking any specific machines. However, I am disappointed that I missed the incredible deal of $149 for the Mars Attacks Arcade1Up Pinball. It would have been a great opportunity for a first-time experience. Meanwhile, I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Legends 4K Adams Family machine, which I pre-ordered the month upon its initial announcement. Apart from that, I am attentively monitoring the market for any upcoming XL models that I may consider acquiring and replacing some of my current machines.
@JamesNGames I can’t remember you have KI pro, but not any other XL’s right? What is the eta for first wave of Addams family January?
@@PDX7 Yes, I am the proud owner of the esteemed Killer Instinct Pro Arcade Cabinet, which I have meticulously customized with the Szabo's Arcade treatment it took some time to acquire the exquisite artwork and marquee + bezel, but the end result was truly worthwhile. In addition to the Killer Instinct Pro, I also possess the Pac-Man XL and the highly sought-after Shaq Jam! As for the Addams Family machine, I anticipate its arrival and expect it to be shipped around the 21st of January or shortly thereafter.

As a person who personally owned an Arcade1Up Attack From Mars Pinball and an AtGames Legends Pinball. I can say there is no comparison. The ALP is a superior machine. The ALP plays so much better and offers so much more. To me it was the subpar gameplay that ruined the Arcade1Up pinball and led me to selling it. How the machine plays matters. Add to that the failure rate on the Arcade1Up PCBs inside Arcade1Ups pinballs is very high. The term "recreational player" is an interesting take on purchasing an Arcade1Up pinball. I can not, having owned one. recommend the Attack From Mars Arcade1Up pinball to anyone after owning one. The new ALP 4K is not cheap but for what you are getting it is worth it. I do not like the artwork of the new ATGames KI. I did a poll on my channel and 97% wanted AtGames to reskin the artwork. I will be selective with my arcade space. No rush to preorder anythig either with AtGames. These new next generation AtGames models will be around for a while. Great walk in talk.
Hi Papa Brad, I agree with there’s no comparison just showing the deals one route or going all out and getting the ALP. I saw Addams family in person it’s huge like 7’ high I’d love to have it just can’t pull it off until another month or two. But if Marvel dropped to 399 or lower I’d be interested because it’s Marvel :) I can honestly tell you I think for me and my space bringing in the Legends Ultimate 4k and playing pinball on it might be right for me because purchasing both is a stretch. A1up holds me over like a Countercade would hold me over waiting for the right price to come down. If we remove case over pcb and keep airflow we might be ok with those pins, but I know it’s nerve racking running those in fear they will short out :) Thank you Papa Brad
Picked up T2 and Time Crisis this year for Christmas. Tron, Tempest, Joust, GT 3D, Dragons Lair, and Ridge Racer last Christmas.
Star Wars re-release in March.
T2 delivered the Dec 26th. Unfortunate issue I believe with the encoder board or PCB. P1 gun will play rarely. Will not let me calibrate. Play the maker video and screen freezes. So ticket in on that matter.
Time Crisis will deliver today. Hope to have better luck. I tend to mod everything so LED buttons, harnesses, A1U coin doors, and 20” monitors are in route.
I’m on the fence with virtual pinball as I have 5 Electromechanical pins, driving game, rifle arcade, driving game, submarine game, and projection game. Also have a 60-1 - I built with a Space Invaders cabinet I found in the trash.
Next Christmas my goal is a new original Skee-Ball alley. This will cause me to restore and sell most of my electromechanical novelty to afford one. They are about $4500.00.
I like the mix of historic and golden age arcade titles along with the new titles.
Want to say even though I have had the issue with the T2 - would never be able to afford originals or have the titles or space to house them all.
Important that A1U stays intact. The originals had issues and broke down. I was there for it all and remember the eras well.
I’m sorry to hear about T2, these things can happen but you have nothing to worry about they will fix the issue your in the warranty window won’t cost a thing. Are you interested in adding retro shooter kit in T2? Who would throw out a 60-1? That’s crazy :) swapping out to a 20” monitor will really be a game changer on Time Crisis you’ll love it! It’s crazy what we can bring in our homes now, A1up needs to be around for a long time because I’m with you it’s all I can bring in :) Thanks for watching 👊
I wish AtGames didn't rush people into buying by creating this fomo preorder-for-a-discount that you can't cancel without losing the deposit. I think it's better to fight that fomo and wait, not only to see what else (what other skins, etc.) comes out but also to see if there are any technical issues once the cab/pin is released and people can try it out, since AtGames has had quality control issues in the past. Plus, buying from a retailer rather than direct allows easier returns if there are any issues. Thanks as always for another great walk and talk!
You took the words right out of my mouth End of Line, I agree 100% this rushed feeling and fomo isn’t the way we should buy these. Keep it at the 1,100 and if we miss first or second wave we still get the same price not 400 more. I’m going to chill on this decision until I’m completely sure on skin and if I want to drop the money. Thank you I really appreciate it :)
Also with at games be prepared for multiple firmware updates and they usually break things. Reflashing updates constantly on these boards isn’t a good thing. Wait a yr or so until they iron everything out and the games/pinball tables are out and potentially on sale. Also don’t reward this $1000+ pricing model. These companies are crazy with these prices. These things cost as much as real furniture now???

You have some very good points! Arcade1up pinball can be modded to add all 3 cabs that arcade1up sells.
I also saw 1 of marketplace with 120 or so tables on it for 649. I’m tempted to offer 400-500 for it. I’m really interested in Marvel I really like how it looks. I’m afraid bttf comes out and I’d regret it if I went with Addams Family.

Idk if the buyer would to 400 or 500. If they accept it. You could always mod it more to run zen tables.
Biggest issue online is if you mod the arcade1up pinball machine the pcb gets very hot

Honestly if I could pick one for free between the new At Games KI or the arcade1up KI pro, I'm taking the pro. That new at games just does nothing for me. It has no nostalgia factor at all, and thats really what I'm looking for. I'm sure the haters will say I'm dumb for saying that because you know we should only spend our own money on what other people think is best haha. But if I only had room for one cabinet of course I would go at games haha.
Man I’d upgrade to KI pro too, nothing beats the real looking arcade. The new Legends Ultimate has a 27” screen it’s like the width of blitz lol I’m more interested in that we can still play pinball like Addams Family just vertically. We have some good choices and I hope A1up takes advantage and gives us deals on these.
At .. $199 on clearance there were some good deals. I don't understand how anyone could pay more than $300 for ANY of these, no matter the games.
That stinking fomo gets the best of us :)
Gonna have to go with arcade1up personally I know what to expect from them and if I grab one while it’s a sale I never beat myself up about it. sold my At games pinball and never was interested in their cabs

When it comes to pinball, I stand by what I did 100% as the way to go. I got the original Pinball Legends and used the HDMI and control out and basically gutted it. I use a PC with an old GTX 1070 and use Pinball FX3 + home brews, I put a big monitor for the back board, got an ultrawide monitor for the dot matrix display, hooked up a soundbar and got solenoids for the flippers and replaced all buttons and added my own for coins, start buttons, coin door management, etc.
THIS is what you want, not those PCB based systems by AtGames nor Arcade1Up and not the tiny 720p screens by A1Up. Get one really satisfying pinball experience and your brain will tell you it's real. Otherwise, you might as well just play it on your PC or whatever.

I would buy into Legends if it was more dedicated to maintaining the same form factor of a certain pinball machine, but it tries to make every item a gaming swiss army knife, which is good if you only want one or two
I personally prefer the A1up where you get a small batch of games per unit you can sharpen your teeth on sporadically
For +$1000, I would hold out for something you really like in the deco style like BTTF, the fun thing in collecting these things is really measuring what matters to you, like I get the urge to get the Galaga or SF2 deluxes, but I already have Pac Plus, Class of 81, and the last three SF, so I'll have to wait for either dirt cheap or a reskin I want, like Final Fight
I think bttf is worth that money too, not saying the skins available aren’t it’s just having more nostalgia for that is big. The only real reason to upgrade our SF or Galaga is the look of the cabinet we already have the games what is more important the look or playing? We all have our own preferences and there’s no right or wrong with that. If I can pick up a A1up 300-400 it will hold me over until there’s a must have from ATGames I can wait :) just want to play some games and 10 is a good amount won’t be searching forever trying to decide. I just bought a Marvel Superheros limited edition and it has them round buttons too. I pre-ordered the Addams family table. I heard they are going to give an option to cancel and get your deposit back because they’re not going to be able to meet the delivery date. If they offer that I am going to cancel my order. I’ll probably still order a different skin table. Personally, I’m scared of the Arcade 1Up pinball tables because so many people say the PCB board goes out. If they drop to $150 that’s gonna be a hard decision for me. Great video.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I’ve never noticed that button before, kind of with they went with that style over what we always get. Oh I’m scared to death too lol actually was worried when I was making the video because I was getting close to 20 min and don’t want to to deal with that right now :) My friend GI Joel leaves his on 24-7, same pcb he just decased his and installed a fan to keep it circulating. I would do the same thing. I wondered how these were selling, we might see a better price and if these hit late not going to sit well. Thank you Gold Mine Arcade, it’s good to know they are bending the rules a little in this.
I got an atgames pinball hd last year for 399. Thinking about going down the rabbit hole of modding a dmd screen into it.

I have the pro KI and will be getting the ALU, they may offer different skins , we will have to wait and see.

Yes I love my pro and yes the price is a bit high but it is coming with a 27inch monitor,new design, new board , and a new UI , but we will see, keep up the great vid's man.

Hi PhilO. I do like the look on the Attack From Mars Vpins, the problem with AFM A1up is the all the problems, I think you are the only person I know that has one and not had a failure. I wouldn't really compare A1up vs Atgames on vpin on the actual games, even regular ALP is far superior and could be reskinned. Its 720P and plastic playfield cover in 24" vs 32" 4k. The 149 deal seems sus, I have heard one person got one for that price as an open box in store like you.
I say wait to see how Atgames 4KP pans out, the ALU 4K will be refined to be even better than rendering. Since A1up isnt coming out with anything new for awhile, maybe some deals on them if you have to buy something, Id say wait for both companies to put out stuff you want and priced right.
By the way I do play vpin on my ALU and ALU Mini sometimes and its fun,
Hi Carl, I know there’s not a real comparison between the two just the AFM skin. That a recreational player like me would be ok with 1ups for now. I couldn’t decide on which one to get, property taxes were short and I had to eat the difference unfortunately that was my pinball money. So now I have to wait, but if Marvel or AFM drops again and I see it in time I might jump on it to hold me over like the nba jam countercades holding me over :) I do think playing on the Legends Ultimate might be the way for me. Interested to see final price and possibly if it does drop a little. I heard the same story, but is 299 - 349 possible?
@@PDX7 CarlO's recommending a Purchasing Pause PhilO, unless its a crazy low deal on A1up's no buy. Wait and see how the 4KP shakes out and I promise you the ALU 4K is going to get refined, Atgames is seeing the feedback, the art and coindoor will be addressed, 999 OTD at preorder and I am hoping they get us 3-5 skins choice at preorder, KI isnt my jam, they need sea of thieves, battletoad, KI and a couple more skins...

Been waiting on 4KP since it was announced. They gave us one of my all time favorite fandoms with Addams Fam. Day 1 purchase. Now we wait with fingers crossed all bugs will be fixed when it ships.
It’s a really cool game looks amazing! I don’t think there’s anything to worry about, this will be awesome when you get it. I’m just holding off another month or two because of money and really deciding if legends ultimate is better for me.
The original ALP HD is the way to go imo. Head and shoulders above the 1Up machine. OTG mode with a capable laptop is truly amazing! VPX, FX3, Pinball M and Future Pinball offer hundreds of tables. The prices will continue to drop as the 4K models come out. I play mine almost every day... love it!
I agree theyre better than 1up, it’s just that Marvel skin and AFM that is kind of pulling me in if they were 399 or less. Definitely watching the OG too, just waiting for the right time on the 4k and if I’d be totally fine playing on the Legends Ultimate instead, that fits the arcade room better than a pinball machine. Hey Phil! For $300 or less the AFM is a steal! I have been through 1 PCB on mine but if you don’t leave it on for hours on end and play it conservatively, it can last.
Hey Tommy, I was worried when I was doing the video I had it on for too long lol I’m good on these for 15 min and that’s what I’m saying is we get a deal for that fix to play pinball versus spending 1,500 right now until we or I absolutely know this is the skin I want.
@@PDX7 exactly! I’m also tempted by the ALP4k but waiting on reviews and also to see what the other skins are. The big selling point though for the A1up vpins are the smaller foot print these take up. If I was to buy the 4K pinball I would be forced to have it in another room due to the larger size. The A1up AFM looks great in the corner of my game room and it’s always the first machine anyone plays when they come in to the home arcade.
@tommyv.856 I’m waiting on reviews too, the demo Addams Family in Chicago wasn’t the final product. There will be a ton to watch, I just felt pressured and that 149 sale changed everything for me :)
My next purchase within the year is the AtGames 4k pinball. Other than that, I'm doing the retro shooter BSA on my SF2 hopefully this winter. And I finally got an Xbox X, along with a few games. Killer instinct from 2013, but they just released an upgrade. Great game. SF, Halo, MW3, MK1, Soul Calibur and waiting for Tekken 8.

@PDX7 I'm waiting until all are out. The Attack from Mars for me is the most iconic, although I didn't really get into pinball much until just before pre covid at a local arcade. I have the star wars pinball. Funny enough I kinda like the Charlie Brown pinball. The yellow would compliment my pacman cab. Lol. I'm going to wait a bit but looking fwd to one day getting one of them. I wish they'd do a space invaders only because I don't have a cab that represents that iconic first. Cheers! I'm pretty much set on an Arcade1up pinball table and skin it how I want. The big thing is my wife loves pinball and it would be perfect and not take as much space. As will be way cheaper than those At Games tables. lol Even though I don't have the space for it. I would grab an A1up pinball table and throw it in storage until we make some room for it. Also eventually I would throw a PC in it and put tons of pinball games on it. Then we would have the ultimate digital pinball table. heh heh

@atranfanatic it would be hard to decide if they were all the same price, but Marvel is probably my first choice it wasn’t before but it’s the most nostalgic for me.

Hi PD7. I really like the your views on either going for the Atgames or Arcade1up. I love my micro pinball I haven’t played Arcade1up pinball so I can’t speak on that behalf. But I do agree with you if you were to buy that legends with the killer instinct skin you can play pinball so why waste money on both. But as as far as nostalgia and design Arcade1up has always had the upper hand. I’m not a multicade person myself. Not to pay 1300 for one. I rather play my retropie for playing variety of games. If killer instinct pro were to go on sale I would jump on it. To me it looks killer. Oh and F&F is such a fun cab and loud too. lol
Hey Julio, I really regret selling my micro I should’ve just held onto it. Would’ve looked great next to the countercades, I messed up thought I’d preorder 4k but now kind of in the middle now. So I’m going to wait for a sale on one and probably do the legends ultimate. What are your favorite tables to play?
@@PDX7 it’ has to be bubble bobble, space invaders and arkanoid. Those 3 are my go to games. Ah man. I didn’t know you sold your micro PD7. If a had the room I think I would go for the peanuts pinball. I love how that one looks. But 2024 I hope I can get at least 3 new cabs. I need to sell a few. That’s the only thing to make room for new ones you have to get rid of some. I enjoy the hobby though.

I would too Orange Nation, I really see discounts coming on these and maybe we get that from ATGames in a year or two by that time we’re ready for another pinball experience. 499 and higher are becoming hard to justify when we see 399 or less, if we can just hold off a little bit :)

It is so close to the real thing :) they really did a great job with it. Just a matter of time until they stock back up with these, but I do see the deluxe going for 299 soon.

Prefer the chrome 1 up look over the black but I heard its unrealiable and plays awful. I can leave or take pinball , bored after 5 minutes ,over arcades I play for hours. Keep 1ups KI , it's emulation is near perfect .I put a 1up KI pcb in a yoga flame and now gonna put a 20 inch screen in it. And the new A KI looks still bloody ugly in my oppinion, and at that price not a chance.
Plus it takes up a lot of space, I just need 5-15 minutes on a pinball a few times a week :) I prefer arcades hands down like you, Thank you for watching 👊
