I came here trying to find out why some drawings (using CAD backgrounds from architects) have weird issues like the mouse becoming jerky and hanging up as soon as I enter a command like "move". Also, if I try to dimension an angle, it just locks up. The STATUSBARAUTOWRAP was mentioned on the AutoDesk site as a possible factor - but there is no such command in AutoCAD LT 2023. Just comes up as "unknown command." I guess AutoDesk "fixed" that problem(?) Anyway, nice tips - if anyone knows why certain drawings get jerky and sluggish when a command is entered, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Gracias, no entendi el ingles pero esta mejor que las explicaciones que dan los expertos en español, DOCK ABOVE STATUS BAR fue suficiente para detener el parpadeo en la pantalla. Tambien el STATUSBARautowrap me funciono. Thanks DDS Inc,
You can turn OFF Auto Wrap without docking the tabs, which gives you that extra line of space. Weirdly, you can still dock the tabs when Auto Wrap is OFF, but you can't put them back inline without turning Auto Wrap back ON (and then you have to turn it OFF again to stop the flickering).
Yes, and with the "StatusBarAutoWrap" command set to "On", we can right-click on a layout tab and select "Dock Inline with Status Bar". Then, if we switch to a layout, we'll see that the layout tabs move down and become "in-line" with the other commands on the status bar (OrthoMode, Dynamic Input, Polar Tracking, etc.). Then, while still in the layout, we can type "StatusBarAutoWrap" and type "OFF". Once we switch back to Model Space, the layout tabs won't move up and will remain in-place. This can save some extra space, especially if you're using a smaller monitor and large magnification.
