Married to a San Pedrano and had been to Honduras multiple times and I'm in love with Honduras. We are looking to relocate to honduras or if not we are retiring in Honduras because we are too tired of the states. But San Pedro not my cup of tea since Im more about nature life and not city life. I love Tela and siguatepeque. My favorite is the pollo chuco (pollo con tajadas). Looking forward to your videos and maybe we probably relocate our family of 3 sooner. Also the first time I went to Honduras was around the holidays and they do not play around with them quetes (💣 ) in San Pedro. 😂 Did not sleep that night 😂

I’m glad that there’s Expats moving in the mainland because there’s way more than what the Islands can provide and it’s Roatan this and Roatan that I keep asking what about Olancho or Comayagua or Copan again there’s way more in the main land that can provide

    • @MinervesOnTheMove
      @MinervesOnTheMove  10 месяцев назад +1

People are missing out for sure! We choose the mainland over Roatan because we could always just visit the islands.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing!
I will put in a video/ Q&A request: Do you all have any tips for people that might want to work remotely from SPS? Are there any coworking spaces in the city? Also, what would be a few of the top places to visit on the mainland?

    • @MinervesOnTheMove

I actually am unsure about working remotely but can totally find out!
We are working on our top places to visit in the day and at night! Should be up in a few weeks

Great video and welcome to Honduras
One thing that you guys should know however and is about ''our'' food
Corn tortilla, therefore tacos, are from MESOAMERICA or Central America,
wich to be more precise are Honduras,El Salvador,Belize,Guatemala and just
the very small south of Mexico but unfortunately Hollywood and the very sicken
mexican nationalism has lied or misinformed the world into thinking that all
the mesoamerican dishes(which are amongst the most popular in the world) are from
Mexico...here's an example 10:44 Not every latino in the US is mexican descent
Did you know that the oldest chocolate sample was found here in Honduras?
You don't have to believe me,look it up for yourself
Anyhow, again, welcome to Honduras and keep learning from our
    wonderful Central American culture😊✌🇭🇳

Honduran living States side since 1981. Totally agree with you about the race thing. Hondurans are a mixed of native americans, blacks, whites, middle eastern and far east asians. Sometimes you find a pure asian or white or black but most everyone is a mix of two or more. Race as understood here in the US is not a thing nor give you identity...you are a catracho and that is it. In fact terms of endearment like mi negro or mi negrita are common even if you are not 100% black. Enjoy your stay and open up your mind to new cultures and adventures. We have issues and problems but the people are hard working and good hearted.
