- This is our family's last week living in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and we do plan to visit as often as we can. Thank you for all those who have followed our journey since the beginning. Although, this isn't the end of Minerves on The Move this is a new beginning as we embark to a new country. This experience has been beyond meaningful and life-changing...and now that we are moving it has become bittersweet for us. Honduras, especially San Pedro Sula, will always have a home in our hearts.

ABOUT US & OUR CHANNEL
We are a expats and a typical black American family living and teaching abroad in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. We were born and raised in California but spent most of our adult life in Atlanta, GA where we met at Spelman and Morehouse College.
About a year ago we left our jobs teaching in the United States for a life abroad in Honduras. Our channel has 2 goals:
1. To show black families and people of color what a life abroad could look like.
2. To show all the beautiful things about Honduras.

ABOUT SAN PEDRO SULA HONDURAS
San Pedro Sula, Honduras is a modern city with restaurants, shops, malls, and many amenities. However, we are also close to mountains, rivers, and beaches if we choose to explore.

When I found your channel over 6 months ago I was so excited to see a family vlog their lives in my city. Since I don't live in SPS I'm always looking for videos about my city and it was great to see your videos about the real Honduras beyond the outdated data and misconceptions. I thought I'd see you all be in Honduras for a longer time but that's life! I wish you all the best and hope to see you visit Honduras soon! Thank you for giving Honduras a chance
We thought we’d be here a lot longer too 😢 We love LOVE Honduras and didn’t want to leave just yet.
Keep living your best life. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Next time y’all visit Honduras, I’m going!
I'm so glad I had a chance to visit! I really believed all the hype about it being dangerous but that was definitely wrong. One of the best places I have ever visited. The food was excellent and the people were very friendly. I would highly recommend vacationing in this country. I will definitely visit again!
Did I miss where you’re going?
Safe travels to you and your family! You made Honduras seem like an amazing place to live, and I’m sure your content was helpful to anyone on the fence. It’s been fun watching your adventures!

Thanks for visiting and giving Honduras a chance. Beyond the propaganda.. it is a beautiful country with good people. Hopefully the sum of your memories fall into positive conclusion and you go back to explore the many places still unexplored and rekindle your friendships and even make new ones. Best of luck in your journey familia catracaha!!

Hahahah so true about the walls. I was so surprised to see houses so close to each other and without walls here in the USA

Valle Azul
@@MinervesOnTheMove thank you have good journey. Will keep watching channel
Welcome to Cribs
Same in Africa with the walls. They call them COMPOUNDs..
I laughed at the "mommy mommy" and that they never go to daddy 😂 ...but yess this was awesome!!! Wish y'all thee best in the next chapter of your lives 💖
P.s. I freaking SCREAMED when you said you realized "why did we use carpet in the states" 😭😭 now that we're back in the states and apartment hunting, I literally cringe over carpet. It's mainly newly built luxury buildings that don't have carpet and some older ones are getting the message. Honestly drives me crazy becus why? Lol and how was this normal to me lol
Exactly! What were we thinking?!
Where did u live in Atl?
Why are you leaving and returning to USA?
We didn’t leave return to the US 🙃 We we’re just visiting for the summer. Here’s our latest video We moved our family to Cabrera, Dominican Republic + Why we left Honduras?

Hi! I know you don’t live in Honduras anymore, but I love your content and just wanted to ask a question. I’m 16 years old and I’m going to be moving to Honduras within this year, do you have any schools you recommend?
What city will you be moving to?
@@MinervesOnTheMoveSan Pedro Sula
So all of Latin America is just using the same dang bathroom tiles. 😂
Also, I don’t know how I lived with carpet before either. Yuck.
Wait? Are they? 🤣🤣🤣
Sis never say daddy
